Out of the Blue - A Take on Finnish Design

Out of the Blue: The Essence and Ambition of Finnish Design is a book that is essentially an instructive overview of Finnish design.

From legendary figures like Alvar Aalto and heritage manufacturers such as Marimekko, Iittala, Artek and Nokia to a contemporary generation of makers and entrepreneurs the book showcases design from past to present. Out of the Blue is beautifully designed, carefully composed and cleverly arranged into a series of pictorial essays and interviews.

Edited by Laura Houseley and Marko Ahtisaari, the book is a window on Finnish design and product culture.
