Within a good hour from Helsinki international airport, B&B’s in Porvoo and Fiskars are idyllic destinations for some rustic romanticism in the Finnish countryside.

Porvoo lies less than an hour east of Helsinki. With history dating back to the 14th century, the Old Town of Porvoo is charm defined. The area around Porvoo is famous for its manors and archipelago.

An hour and a half west of Helsinki, Fiskars village is a picturesque design, art and craft centre. Here, the eponymous household and gardening equipment business started as an ironworks in 1649.

See below our suggestions for comfortable stays in both destinations.
