Bus number 16 of Tampere City Transport drives past Särkänniemi all year round. The Fun Bus, bus number 4, runs directly from bus station via railway station to Särkänniemi on June and July.

The revolving restaurant not only offers excellent meals and services but also a unique panorama of the city and lake scenery. Restaurant Näsinneula received membership of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in February 2004. In the summertime there are numerous other restaurants, cafés and grill-kiosks to serve the customers.

Särkänniemi is an amusement centre with seven superb sites: Aquarium, Dolphinarium, Näsinneula Observation Tower, Planetarium, Sara Hildén Art Museum, Rides and Children's Zoo.

DOLPHINARIUM - It is the northernmost dolphinarium in the world. You cannot fail to be charmed by the skills of these beautiful, clever animals. Särkänniemi's five bottlenose dolphins Veera, Delfi, Näsi, Leevi and Eevertti all wish you welcome to Särkänniemi all year round.

AQUARIUM - an underwater adventure! It has two floors with a total of 35 tanks holding ca. 650 000 litres of water.There are over 200 fish and aquatic species and over 2 000 individual animals for example an iguana called Ikke.

PLANETARIUM - Take an armchair ride to the ends of space! New Planetarium shows are introduced every year.

NÄSINNEULA OBSERVATION TOWER - When you take the lift up to the top of Näsinneula, you have the opportunity to see the view from the highest observation tower in the Nordic countries. At the same time, you can acquaint yourself with the most famous symbol of Tampere. From the observation spot or the rotating restaurant, you will see a fantastic panorama of the city centre. In other directions, you can see breath-taking scenery comprising of many lakes and ridges. The height of the whole building is 168 metres, there is a restaurant at an altitude of 124 metres, and the observation deck is at 120 metres.

The delicious food of the Restaurant Näsinneula and the breathtaking view are a popular combination, especially when visitors want to get an overall picture of the city of Tampere. Restaurant Näsinneula has received membership of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

SARA HILDÉN ART MUSEUM - An unforgettable experience for the art lover.

RIDES - Breathtaking roller coaster ride gives you the feeling of flying. There are over 30 different rides ready to speed you, spin you and generally take you for a joyride to suit your taste. The huge smiles of over 600,000 guests each year just go to proove this. The Tornado rollercoaster's double cobra loop is certain to have you seing stars. Särkänniemi also features rides for those preferring more sedate pleasures. The rides are open only during the summer season.

CHILDREN'S ZOO - It is a park-like area located next to the Dolphinarium, a little oasis. Here, visitors young or old, can take a closer look at the domestic animals and their little ones. Children's Zoo is open only during the summer season.
