Art Factory Awarded- Best Cultural Venue for Corporate events

Awarded ‘Best Cultural Venue for Corporate Events, Europe’ by Business Destinations Travel Awards 2014. The newly opened culture and congress centre is a find for corporate events, located only half an hour from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport in Finland. Main halls seat 250 and 800 people. Spacious foyers and restaurants.

The Art Factory in the idyllic city of Porvoo just east of Helsinki in Finland is an old factory building, which has been serving culture since 1980’s. Now it has been modernized and re-opened as a top class congress centre.

The Factory Halls have proven to be of international standards by hosting car exhibitions, product launches, corporate gala dinners and a wide range of seminars and workshops in the first years of operation.

University of Turku to Host International Ornithology Conference in August 2017

The next international Conference of the European Ornithologists’ Union (11th EOU Conference 2017) will be held in Turku 18–22 August 2017. The University of Turku was chosen as the host of the biennial EOU conference in this year’s conference in Spain in August.

​The international five-day EOU 2017 conference for ornithologists will be held in Turku on 18–22 August 2017. The conference consists of three conference days and field trips for smaller groups. The conference will bring around 400-450 delegates from over 20 countries to Turku.
