The Finavia-operated Helsinki airport recently won the World Airport Award for Best Airport in Northern Europe. The awards are based on surveys conducted by international travel research group Skytrax, who polled 12.1 million passengers over a nine-month period.
In October 2016 opens a 78 metre-high hotel building with a convention centre for 1,000 people and 427 rooms.
Clarion Hotel Helsinki will stand out from the crowd. The two window-clad towers are connected by a transparent glass footbridge. The highest of the towers will reach a full 78 metres above sea level. A vantage point is being built at the top, with a breathtaking view over Helsinki for everyone.
