A Snowmobile Safari with Campfire in the Snowy Forests

All About the Northern Lights - Lapland Exclusive

This 3-day tour will first take you to a husky farm where you can enjoy a 10 km ride on a husky sleigh. After that you will have an opportunity to meet reindeer on a reindeer farm and enjoy the stunning northern lights. The tour culminates to a visit and dinner in an ice restaurant. The Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, can be observed in the Arctic zones of the world. Our location on the arctic circle gives us the best possibilities to try and watch the Aurora Borealis in Lapland. Our guide will drive you out of the city reaching the perfect spots and offering the best open sky vision to enjoy the Lappish picnic, hopefully under the Auroras. The transfers will be made by car.

An Aurora Borealis Safari/Picnic in Rovaniemi

We head away from the city lights of Rovaniemi to a dark spot in the middle of nature. An Evening Reindeer Safari in the Arctic Night

This is a night to remember! Travel by car to the start of the adventure at a local reindeer farm. Sitting comfortably in a reindeer sleigh, travel through snowy forests while we go Aurora hunting, and who knows with a bit of luck the northern lights will paint the skies in shades of green above you. A hot cup of coffee with a bun is served around a campfire.

Arctic Sky Tonight

The Arctic Northern Sky offers lot of interesting events during the winter time. We will take you up to the top of Lampivaara fell (400 meters above the sea level) with no disturbing light pollution and you really can feel the Spirit of the Arctic Sky. Maybe royal Northern Lights will occur?

Aurora Borealis at Rokua Tour

During our Aurora Borealis -tour you will enjoy the beautiful Rokua nature and silence with nature covered by white snow, far away from city lights. Depending on the weather conditions, we will admire the colourful Aurora Borealis and thousands of stars in the dark blue sky. Afterwards we will enjoy some warm refreshment by the open fire in a Finnish 'Kota' (hut).

Aurora Borealis Cruise

Evening begins with an exciting cruise on a safe and steady catamaran boat along beautiful rivers Kemijoki and Ounasjoki. Sit back, sip warm beverages, savour a snack and experience the night of the Arctic Circle while your guide steers the boat away from the city lights towards the best spots to observe Aurora Borealis. The boat offers spectacular 360 degrees view to the sky but pay attention, the aurora loves playing hide-and-seek; you never know when and where they can show up!

Aurora Borealis Hunting

This trip is made by mini bus. Our driver knows the best places to see Aurora Borealis and he will drive you there while you can relax and rest. Duration is approximately 2,5 hours.

Aurora Borealis Hunting

Join us in the magical night of Lapland to hunt the beautiful Northern Lights. You will also learn different photography techniques with the help of a professional photographer. We are travelling with a mini bus into peaceful nature and away from the city lights. This safari offers our Northern Light Guarantee, which means that we won't go out unless the lights are visible. In case of cancellation, you will get your money back. We inform of cancellations on the day of the safari at 6 pm. All you need to bring is warm winter clothing and some spirit of adventure!

Experience the Arctic night by driving through the snow-covered forest and on the frozen river. With a little luck, you’ll travel under a bright sky lit by the moon and the stars. Perhaps the Aurora Borealis – the Northern Lights – will appear to show you the way. Sip warm beverages and savour a snack by a campfire and learn more about the Northern Lights and Lapland.

Come and experience an exotic Arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes by snowmobile. With a little luck, if the sky is clear, the moon, stars and even the Northern Lights may show you the way. Enjoy a delicious snack of sausages and warm drinks around an open fire before returning to the Safari Club by snowmobile.

Aurora Hunting

Seeing the Northern Lights cast their magical glow across the Arctic sky is always an impressive sight, but what makes it truly unforgettable is a special trip to chase this natural phenomenon. Imagine a nocturnal adventure in the wilderness, riding a sleigh drawn by a reindeer or horse, enjoying the panoramic views from the snow tank’s sleigh, speeding along on a snowmobile, or perhaps gracefully gliding on skis.

Aurora Safari

Experience the glow of the northern lights! We will depart, when the darkness falls. Out in the wilderness we keep our eyes on the ever-changing skies. If we are lucky we will catch a glimpse of the northern lights. The safari covers about 35km's and lasts for 2-3 hours. During the safari we will serve warm drinks.

Aurora Watching at the Snow Village

Board the coach to the breath taking Snow Village. Upon arrival enjoy a fascinating Northern Lights film in the snow theatre, and learn more about how they are built. We will search for our own glimpse of the Northern Lights and if luck is on our side, may see them ourselves! Either way, the Snow Village guided tour of the decorated suites, sculptures and ice restaurant will surely feast your eyes. Hot juice will be served during the trip. Return to Levi by coach.

Aurora Workshop

An aurora photographer will teach you how to capture the aurora with your own camera. You’ll learn all about the northern lights and how to use the settings on your camera to get the best effect. The workshop duration is 1h. The workshop normally takes place during the first afternoon, or before the outdoor aurora hunting tour.

Aurora's Whispers – Northern Lights Fact and Fiction

Did you know that Hankasalmi is one of the most significant places for Aurora Borealis research? Learn facts and fiction about the Norhern lights at the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi. Learn wether Auroras make sound, for instance. Afterwards we take our cameras and go chase Auroras on lake Virmas. Weather permitting, we will admire the colourful Auroras and thousands of stars in the dark blue sky. Afterwards we'll enjoy some warm refreshment by the open fire in a Finnish kota (forest hut).
