Aurora Borealis at Rokua Tour

During our Aurora Borealis -tour you will enjoy the beautiful Rokua nature and silence with nature covered by white snow, far away from city lights. Depending on the weather conditions, we will admire the colourful Aurora Borealis and thousands of stars in the dark blue sky. Afterwards we will enjoy some warm refreshment by the open fire in a Finnish 'Kota' (hut).

Northern Lights – Eagle-Eye View

What better way to see the Northern Lights than from the very sky where they occur? We will transfer you from your hotel or accommodation to the airport, where a plane awaits to take you on an experience that not many get to try. The airplane is equipped for instrumental flight, has an anti-icing system, and carries seven passengers. The flights are conducted with a flight crew of two pilots. Flight time is around 1 hour, including takeoff and landing preparations. After landing, we transfer you back to your hotel.

Northern Light Hunting by Snowmobile

As the white snow affords more light by reflecting the stars and the moon, we follow the snowmobile trails away from the lights of Ruka and look for the perfect spot to admire the sky. Your guide will light up a campfire and we will enjoy a picnic while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. Everyone can grill traditional Finnish sausages on the fire as we serve Lappish berry juice to keep you warm. Remember to bring a tripod for your camera!

Arctic Snow Hotel Evening with Snow Sauna

Our main destination is the Arctic snow hotel in Sinettä, a place built anew every year, complete with ice bar, ice sculptures, and even an ice chapel. This magnificent structure with walls of snow is built a little differently every year, with new ice art. The nearby Kota restaurant offers a salmon dinner before a visit to the famous snow sauna. Hear the ice walls bubble as you throw water on the sauna stones, a truly unique experience! Finally, we return to Rovaniemi with a short hike to the top of the Ounasvaara fell for a view of the city – and with luck, some Northern Lights!

Photography Experience

With the help of a guide, we learn how to take pictures in the mystic dark wilderness. Bring your own camera and we will teach you how to capture the amazing Auroras among other things. Tripods available for rent. Remember to wear warm clothing! Duration about 2 hours.
