Polar Lights Tour – Night Safari with Huskies

Experience an atmospheric evening with a Husky team driven by a guide. This 10-kilometre safari is a great opportunity to admire the starry sky – and if you are lucky, see the Northern Lights. After the ride, we enjoy sweet and salty pancakes with hot juice by the campfire in a traditional ”kammi”. Duration about 2 hours.

Aurora Activity Week

Due to its location, Nuorgam is one of the best places to chase the northern lights. We have zero light pollution, and because of the cold, there are no clouds. This makes it possible to see the northern lights during 60–70% of winter nights. With any luck, you will see the northern lights dancing in the sky. But don't come just for the aurora borealis, come for arctic beauty and winter exploration. We take you to the wilderness by skis, snowshoes, and snowmobile. We will teach you ice fishing on the frozen lakes. You will visit a reindeer herder. Come and discover the Arctic.

2-Day Whale Watching Trip to Tromsø with Arctic Cathedral and Polar Museum

Get ready for two days of true Nordic experiences. We’ll pick you up in Rovaniemi and take you up to Tromsø in Northern Norway. On the way, we will have a stopover in “the thumb of Finland’s arm”, not far from the legendary Saana fell, where you’ll have free time to have lunch. In Tromsø, you can find out all about the local history and culture by visiting the Polar Museum, as well as the amazing Arctic Cathedral. The programme also includes gazing at the Northern Lights and a whale watching trip.

Arctic Snow Hotel Evening with Snow Sauna

Our main destination is the Arctic snow hotel in Sinettä, a place built anew every year, complete with ice bar, ice sculptures, and even an ice chapel. This magnificent structure with walls of snow is built a little differently every year, with new ice art. The nearby Kota restaurant offers a salmon dinner before a visit to the famous snow sauna. Hear the ice walls bubble as you throw water on the sauna stones, a truly unique experience! Finally, we return to Rovaniemi with a short hike to the top of the Ounasvaara fell for a view of the city – and with luck, some Northern Lights!

Magic of the Northern Lights

Once dusk falls over Northern nature, the magical Northern Lights will appear on the sky. This snowshoe adventure is the perfect way to explore winter landscapes authentically, and with a bit of luck, you might see the amazing show of Aurora Borealis. The trip starts from the Safari Center, then you will head up to the Vuokatti hills enjoying the amazing snow-covered forest and peaceful nature. From the top of the hill, you can admire the amazing view with all the lights shining from the village.

2-Day Trip to Svanstein and Miekojärvi

Are you ready for the winter wilderness? Leave with us for a two-day trip full of wilderness experiences. First up we drive to a traditional reindeer farm in Sinettä. Come face-to-face with the majestic animals and ride a reindeer-drawn sleigh. Then we continue to Svanstein, a premier skiing location for some downhill skiing and a barbecue lunch. After all the excitement and exercise, we continue to our lakeside cabin for some well-deserved relaxation and some time in the lakeside sauna. Next, spend the night in our “Aurora Nest” with a see-through roof, for the ultimate Aurora night...

Snowmobile Safari to Search for the Northern Lights

This evening departure of a snowmobile safari will be a special experience to discover the magic of snowy forests in the night. Given extra light by the white snow reflection or the stars and the moon, we follow the snowmobile trails away from city lights and looking for the spot to admire the sky. Everyone can grill traditional Finnish “makkara” sausages on the fire and we serve Lappish berry juice to keep yourself warm.

Northern Lights Trip

Join our legendary Northern Lights trip to maximise your chances of seeing this great natural Arctic phenomenon. The Northern Lights trip has received excellent feedback already for years. Our destination is the best possible location – a place with no other lights at all, the northern sky fully open and the weather is often clear, even if it is cloudy or foggy in town. We take a little walk up the hill, make a fire in the tepee and enjoy warm beverages with barbeque snacks while watching the sky.

Northern Lights Exploration

The highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights in Finland is from October to April. Sometimes you can get lucky and see the Aurora Borealis in Helsinki, but you are more likely to see them above the Arctic Circle, where Santa Claus also hails from. We can customize your trip and either go by foot, reindeer or husky and chase the Northern Lights in Lapland. It is also possible to discover the Northern Lights from a private jet or helicopter in Lapland. Magic happens, enjoy your dreams.

Aurora Snowmobile Safari

Come and experience the blazing Northern Lights! Your journey starts as darkness falls. Once in the wilderness, we explore the changing skies and with some luck, spot the Northern Lights. The safari covers about 35 km. Warm beverages are served during the safari. Duration: 2–3 hours.

Chasing Northern Lights and River Diamonds

This is an unforgettable trip into Finnish nature. We go chase river diamonds with our cameras in the Konnevesi rapids. The next night, we chase Auroras on Lake Virmas. We also go hiking in the wintery forest and scale Hyyppäänvuori, where you can enjoy the silence of our clean nature coverded in white snow. We'll visit the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi, where we learn facts and fiction about the Northern Lights, space and stars. You'll also have a chance to try different kinds of relaxing saunas at the Revontuli Resort (smoke sauna, tent sauna, spell sauna).

Hunting Northern Lights with Huskies

Enjoy the Northern night, sitting in a sled being pulled by a husky team! The darkness of the night or the magical lights dancing in the sky create a breathtaking atmosphere, which can only be experienced in Lapland! The silence of the wilderness around us is broken only by the smooth sounds of the sled skis. We will stop to warm up a little in a goahti, where we also grill sausages and drink hot juice. If Lapland’s magic is on our side and the Northern Lights show themselves to us, you also have a chance to photograph the Northern Lights.

Aurora Borealis Safari by Snowmobiles

Come and experience an exotic Arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes by snowmobile. With a little luck, if the sky is clear, the moon, stars and even the Northern Lights may show you the way. Enjoy a delicious snack of sausages and warm drinks around an open fire before returning to the Safari Club by snowmobile.

2-Day Trip to North Cape and Saariselkä with King Crab and Husky Safari

We'll pick you up from Rovaniemi or Ivalo and take you to Saariselkä for a visit to a husky farm, where you get to meet the dogs, learn all about the rearing and training of these amazing animals, and embark on a 1.6 km husky sleigh ride. Next, you can enjoy a traditional reindeer dinner. Then we head to Inari to learn about the traditional people of Northern Europe, the Sámi, with a visit to Siida, the museum of Finnish Sami culture. Honnigsvåg is the closest place to North Cape, where your seaside cabin awaits...

Arctic Island Aurora Adventure

When the night falls, we will get comfortable in warm Olokolo nests which will be pulled by snowmobiles to the nearby Adventure Island. Once on the wintry and snowy sea shores, we will explore the Island on snowshoes, observing the Northern Sky above us. The Island lies a short ride away from the City, but away from the city lights – a perfect location to spot Northern Lights and admire the stars and moon in the Arctic sky.

A very good opportunity to see an arctic snowy forest with the sky full of stars and with good luck even northern lights. After the husky safari we warm up in our kammi by a campfire with a sausage, hot juice and cookies.

Aurora Watching at the Snow Village

Board the coach to the breath taking Snow Village. Upon arrival enjoy a fascinating Northern Lights film in the snow theatre, and learn more about how they are built. We will search for our own glimpse of the Northern Lights and if luck is on our side, may see them ourselves! Either way, the Snow Village guided tour of the decorated suites, sculptures and ice restaurant will surely feast your eyes. Hot juice will be served during the trip. Return to Levi by coach.

Wilderness Lodge and Northern Lights

This overnight tour will provide you a perfect get-away from the city lights with an opportunity to watch the sky for the whole night. After an early evening departure from Rovaniemi we will drive to the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, about 20 minutes away. There, hidden in snow, in the middle of the wilderness, in complete darkness – a private cosy Wilderness Lodge is waiting for us!
