What better than a bike tour? A bicycle path of 25 kilometres circles the lake. Autumn Colors Photo Tour in Lapland

Full spectrum of colors, day and night! Nature is told to dress in autumn colors 10th Sept at 10am in the north. Northern lights are already seen during the nights. Get to the most picturesque locations Lapland can offer and end up observing and photographing the wildlife in Kuhmo. All this will be guided by landscape photographer Valentino Valkaj.

Manor Tour in Wiurila

The museums offer a fascinating trip into the life of Wiurila. During the tour, you visit the Household Center designed by C. L. Engel, which includes the Wiurila Family Museum where unique articles from the main building are on display. You also get to see the Carriage Museum, the smithy and the carpenter's workshop. The museum is open Wed–Sun, 12–16 in June to August. No reservation is required. Guided tour available on Wednesdays at 9:30–10.30. Reservations by phone.

The gallery is open during Café Veranda’s opening hours. Exhibitions are managed by their organisers and works are sometimes available for purchase.

Old Barn Dinner

The oldest buildings in our courtyard have been watching over Iloranta for a long time. The black girders of the drying barn are full of stories. If you really concentrate, you might hear whispers from the past! Step into the barn and see the dinner table covered with dishes from the Iron Age: fish, vegetables, cheese and braised meat. The atmosphere of the barn with its long tables and lanterns along with our stories about life in the Iron Age are essential parts of the Barn Dinner.

Discovering Porvoo and its Surroundings by Bike (2–3 Hours)

We will meet at the tourism information desk under Mannerheim’s avenue bridge where we will rent bicycles and helmets (included in our price). Then we will visit the old city of Porvoo and learn about Finnish history and culture. Afterwards we head towards to a small island situated 2 km south of Porvoo. There we will stop and walk into the forest to reach a birdwatching tower. There we can see a natural reserve with protected birds and a beautiful view of Porvoo. We will continue our promenade via Porvoo's skiing resort Kokonniemi before reaching Hammars.

The Moomin Museum is a new, experimental art museum based on the unique collection of Moomin art by Tove Jansson (1914–2001). The Museum is situated at Tampere Hall in Tampere. Check opening hours and admission fees on our website.

Willatar Workshops and Experiences

Visitors get to explore the Willatar workshop located in the idyllic 18th century courtyard in the heart of Porvoo Old Town. In addition there is an opportunity to relax by creating small handcrafts from recycled materials. Group visitations are on request, 4-10 people
