Gold Panning in Lemmenjoki

Lemmenjoki River is famous for gold panning. Now you can also try your luck in this fascinating activity. First we drive with the river boat to the gold claim where you will learn the secrets of gold panning and hear stories of Lappish gold history. During the trip you will hear traditional Sami joik singing and visit the Ravadas Falls, one of the more spectacular water falls in northern Lapland and enjoy camp lunch. After the trip there is a possibility to visit your guide’s reindeer farm and his mother’s felting atelier and learn some more of the Sami culture.

Local Handicraft Workshop in Lappish Home

We invite you to visit the handicraft workshop of the local artist Mrs. Irene Kangasniemi and her traditional Lappish log-built home! After the tour at the handicraft workshop, you get the chance to make your own souvenir made of reindeer antler. Using example articles, Irene and Ari Kangasniemi tell of traditions and the reindeer antler work currently being produced at Kangasniemi House. They also use other materials collected from Lapland’s nature for their handicraft.

600 Years from Turku to Åbo

The first bridge over the Aura River was built in Turku around 1414. This walking tour introduces you to the bridges of Turku, and takes you over and under them, while we explore the historical and modern existence of the bridges. Urban art can also be seen along the route. The tour is approximately 3 kilometres long.

A Day in UNESCO'S World Heritage Site

Korsholm Music Festival invites you to a guided full-day tour, including sightseeing, lunch, a concert and an excursion in the World Heritage Site! The day starts with a departure from Vaasa City Hall by bus with a guide. The bus takes you over the longest bridge in Finland, The Replot bridge, to a nice restaurant in the Replot archipelago, where you can enjoy a locally produced lunch. The concert takes place next to the sea, in an old Salting house. After the concert, it is possible to take a guided boat excursion or a walk to the lookout tower, Saltkaret.

A Guided Walking Tour in Naantali Old Town

In Naantali Old Town, every building has a name of its own. The tour strolls through the narrow streets of the charming Old Town, exploring also the history of convent life in Naantali. The tours start from just outside Naantali Tourist Information and last one hour. The price of the ticket includes a small souvenir and entrance to the Naantali Museum, where you will also find a miniature model of the convent.

A Typical Day at a Finnish Lake with a Visit to the Old Paper Factory in Verla

Departure from Porvoo at 9:00, stops at various locations, (Rutumi’s Manor, antique shops, etc.) and a Finnish lunch. Arrival in our little paradise, where we spend a typical Finnish day and relax. Afternoon visit to the museum of Verla. A little drink by the lake, preparing a “bastu kvast”… Sauna preparations, BBQ for dinner. Sauna by the lake and relaxation activities. Possibility to stay late in the evening and then return to Porvoo.

A Typical Day in Finland (6–7 hours)

Discover the old city of Porvoo, Finnish history and culture, and our silent Nature. After lunch in a very nice restaurant, you will walk along the river and in the empire part of the city. In the afternoon we visit nice spots with beautiful views. Then we depart to an island located 25 km south of Porvoo. We will prepare the sauna, relax, and live in the moment. Enjoy the solitude of your own beach. Later we will have a BBQ at the same location and spend the rest of the day in our little paradise before returning to Porvoo, where the day ends.
