A Guided Walking Tour in Naantali Old Town

In Naantali Old Town, every building has a name of its own. The tour strolls through the narrow streets of the charming Old Town, exploring also the history of convent life in Naantali. The tours start from just outside Naantali Tourist Information and last one hour. The price of the ticket includes a small souvenir and entrance to the Naantali Museum, where you will also find a miniature model of the convent.

Welcome to a theme walking tour to learn about Tom as an artist ‒ how for example a stamp decorated with his art became the most sold stamp ever in Finland? And get to know Touko the man: how life was very different for a gay man during the Second World War and decades after? This walk gets you to places you would not imagine to have a secret meaning at all. We also start the experience with a multimedia show including photos and images of Tom / Touko and his years in our beloved Helsinki.

Autumn Colors Photo Tour in Lapland

Full spectrum of colors, day and night! Nature is told to dress in autumn colors 10th Sept at 10am in the north. Northern lights are already seen during the nights. Get to the most picturesque locations Lapland can offer and end up observing and photographing the wildlife in Kuhmo. All this will be guided by landscape photographer Valentino Valkaj.

Paddling along Beautiful Siuntio River to Historical Sjundby Manor

Siuntio River, the "Finnish Amazon", is a good and easy paddling route for beginners. The paddling trip from the Canoe Center to Sjundby Manor is about 6 kilometres The landing stage at Sjundby makes getting ashore easy. Built in the 1500s, Sjundby's mediaeval manor and its surroundings are well worth a visit! In the summer, paddlers are served by Café Sjundby and guided tours of the manor are available. SE-Action Canoe Centre offers paddling equipment and guidance. At only a 30-minute drive from Helsinki!

Visit to a Genuine Local Reindeer Farm

Visit a local reindeer farm where you will meet the young owners who are introducing you the local life of reindeer herders. Reindeer are semi-domesticated, and every animal is owned by a herder. In Northern Lapland, reindeer husbandry is still a major source of income for many. You can see and feed the animals while listening to their incredible stories. These activities offer great possibilities for taking photos and experiencing authentic wilderness life. Warm drinks are offered by the open fire.

Manor Tour in Wiurila

The museums offer a fascinating trip into the life of Wiurila. During the tour, you visit the Household Center designed by C. L. Engel, which includes the Wiurila Family Museum where unique articles from the main building are on display. You also get to see the Carriage Museum, the smithy and the carpenter's workshop. The museum is open Wed–Sun, 12–16 in June to August. No reservation is required. Guided tour available on Wednesdays at 9:30–10.30. Reservations by phone.

A Day at Sovero Art House in Eura

Sovero Art House offers visitors a chance to spend a day in an old wooden Villa from 1905. As our Guest, you may experience the atmosphere of the House and the owner's art collection. You also have a chance to paint on wood under Kaisa Sovero's guidance. The owner's permanent art exhibition is also on display at the House. The building is surrounded by an old garden and trees, so it is the perfect milieu to experience Finnish nature. The package includes a meal with coffee or tea.

Have fun with the elves! Experience: undercrossing of the Arctic Circle and meet Ice Princess in her Ice Gallery. At the Elves Post Office find weird machinery, that works with children’s kind thoughts. Drive the Fairytale Train as many times as you want, visit Santa Claus in his office, learn useful skills in the Elf School and decorate gingerbread cookies in Mrs. Gingerbread’s Bakery. SantaPark Café offers lunch in winter and mouthwatering delicacies, while the elves present their dance show at the main stage.

Experience Workshop: a Small Art Textile with Natural Materials

In this workshop, we weave a small art textile into a prepared ribbon warp using different kinds of straws, twigs, and branches. We begin with a trip to the nature surrounding the Loikansaari estate to collect materials, after which we can already start weaving in the cosy main room of the farmhouse. If the weather is good, the entire workshop can be held outside. You will have a chance to take a look at the wonderful products of the Manor Boutique and do some shopping as well.

The Age of Agriculture – The Story of Farming in Finland

Have you ever seen the first Finnish tractor or sat in a cabin of a modern combine harvester? Have you been inside a real windmill or wondered how cream is separated from milk? The Age of Agriculture exhibition allows just that and much more. The exhibition is a journey through three thousand years of farming in Finland. The age of agriculture is one of labour, cultivated species, domesticated animals, arable fields, burn-cleared swidden plots and pastures; it is a landscape.

Chamber Music at Stundars Hemmer's House

Enjoy a beautiful summer evening with a chamber music concert at Stundars Open Air Museum in Hemmer's House, 15 km from Vaasa city. This house is the childhood home of the Finnish author Jarl Hemmer (1893-1944) and is nowadays a restaurant and a museum with books and furniture donated by the Hemmer family. Before the concert, it is possible to participate in an excursion around the Stundars museum village and after the concert, you can enjoy dinner at Restaurant Hemmer.

Gold Panning in Lemmenjoki

Lemmenjoki River is famous for gold panning. Now you can also try your luck in this fascinating activity. First we drive with the river boat to the gold claim where you will learn the secrets of gold panning and hear stories of Lappish gold history. During the trip you will hear traditional Sami joik singing and visit the Ravadas Falls, one of the more spectacular water falls in northern Lapland and enjoy camp lunch. After the trip there is a possibility to visit your guide’s reindeer farm and his mother’s felting atelier and learn some more of the Sami culture.

Lappish Evening in the Wilderness Hut

Experience the Finnish culture through an authentic evening full of traditional activities and food. Together we start heating up the sauna and prepare a delicious fire-glazed salmon dinner on open fire. It takes about 1 hour for the sauna to heat up. You can also play fun outdoor games and put your fish catching skills to the test! Then you can relax in a hot sauna and take a dip in the refreshing water of a wilderness lake. Afterwards we will enjoy our dinner while savoring the gorgeous nature.
