Trail of Sands in Yyteri

Trail of Sands ('Santojen Lenkki' in Finnish) offers you the best parts of the unique dunes of Yyteri. Enjoy the amazing scenery opening up to the sea, spot typical plants that grow in the dunes and sit down on the sand at Munakarin särkkä to have a break. In the forest dominated by pine and lichen, it is nice and peaceful. Finally, ascend on top of the dune Keisarinpankki, where the nature is surprisingly lush and the view over the beach and sea impressive. The sands of Yyteri are definitely worth seeing and experiencing!

We set out on a culinary journey, inspired by the historical tales underlying the works of Finnish painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela. The dishes will be prepared using our national treasures such as vendace, game, mushrooms and berries. From these high-quality ingredients, our kitchen creates modern classics. This themed dining with Finnish flavors includes a guided walk through Serlachius Museum Gösta's island and the park., campfire soup and a four-course dinner.

Late Autumn Mushrooms and their Preservation

Autumn and the mushroom season are not yet over. This year’s last mushroom weekend concentrates on the species of late autumn and the secrets of mushroom preservation. The specialist of the weekend, Arja Hopsu-Neuvonen from the Martha Organization, is known as the Queen of Mushroom Pickles. The hostess of Hotel Punkaharju, Saimi Hoyer, is naturally joining us as well. Late autumn mushrooms, especially funnel chanterelles, will be the main focus of our mushroom hunting trips.

The exhibition is mounted in the historic Customs Storehouse in the Inner Harbor of the city of Kemi. The history of the SnowCastle is presented with words and photos as well as objects and articles from the years gone by. Learn more about the professional builders, their snow-how, its development over the years and the construction and lighting techniques used at the castle.

Helsinki Urban Walking Tour

Explore the most interesting area of Helsinki, bohemian Kallio and its surroundings! You will hear stories of the former working class district of Helsinki, visit the Hakaniemi market hall and see the local life, second-hand shops, the Kallio church, the first library in Finland built for the working class, the public saunas, a wood-house neighbourhood, the former state-owned railway buildings and the amusement park Linnanmäki, where the excursion will end during the summer.

2-Day Trip to North Cape and Saariselkä with King Crab and Husky Safari

We'll pick you up from Rovaniemi or Ivalo and take you to Saariselkä for a visit to a husky farm, where you get to meet the dogs, learn all about the rearing and training of these amazing animals, and embark on a 1.6 km husky sleigh ride.
