Guided Tour in the Manor

Svartå Manor is one of the most precious manor houses in Finland with a history of more than two hundred years. The wooden castle is embedded in one of the biggest private historical parks of Finland.

Paddling along Beautiful Siuntio River to Historical Sjundby Manor

Siuntio River, the "Finnish Amazon", is a good and easy paddling route for beginners. The paddling trip from the Canoe Center to Sjundby Manor is about 6 kilometres The landing stage at Sjundby makes getting ashore easy. Built in the 1500s, Sjundby's mediaeval manor and its surroundings are well worth a visit! In the summer, paddlers are served by Café Sjundby and guided tours of the manor are available. SE-Action Canoe Centre offers paddling equipment and guidance. At only a 30-minute drive from Helsinki!

Alvar Aalto in Kauttua and Noormarkku

Alvar Aalto in Kauttua and Noormarkku is a two-day guided cultural tour in two old industrial heritage sites. You will relive the history of the ironworks while being surrounded by the living industry. You will visit the grand family residence, Villa Mairea and the Terraced House designed by the architect Alvar Aalto, idyllic workers’ houses and a mill museum. In the restaurants you will enjoy the Finnish cuisine at its finest and experience traditional luxuries such as sauna and swimming.

Palander House

Palander House presents the lifestyle of a bourgeois Hämeenlinna family 100 years ago. The museum showcases a variety of room ensembles, ranging from the elegant drawing room to the servants’ kitchen. The museum is located in the north-east corner of the city centre in an area with lots of period houses. Admission fee includes a guided tour which start every 30 minutes.

Skogster Museum

Skogster Museum is the main location of Hämeenlinna City Museum. The downstairs holds a museum shop and reference library, as well as the Ooh, Hämeenlinna! exhibition, which features funny stories and extraordinary facts about Hämeenlinna. The downstairs of the museum has free admission. The upstairs rooms hold temporary exhibitions and the Savings Bank Museum.

Autumn Colors Photo Tour in Lapland

Guided Tour on the Sampo Icebreaker

Visit the icebreaker Sampo in the summer. On top of serving the Finnish government since 1961, Sampo has welcomed tourists aboard for 30 years already. Most parts of the icebreaker are open to visitors. Visits always include a guided group tour: listen to stories of the icebreaker's operation in Arctic conditions and winter on the frozen sea.

Cirque du Soleil trapeze artist, Pauliina Räsänen, and world champion acrobat, Slava Volkov, are offering a unique opportunity to spend an enthralling day participating in circus-art workshops. The program includes a circus-art workshop where participants will learn various circus disciplines such as the tightrope, the trapeze, acrobatics, as well as manipulation and juggling skills. No previous circus experience is required and exercises are designed according to capabilities. Groups will also pay a visit to the Kustavi Clay Workshop in the heart of the archipelago.

Finnish rye bread is made with love and unhurried enjoyment. The enchanting smell of freshly baked bread will turn any day into a celebration. The bread is baked with a sourdough starter that’s more than 100 years old, passed from generation to generation to this day. Rye bread can also be baked in a conventional electric oven, but it takes unhurried time and patience. We’ll take breaks from baking by going outside for coffee. Lahti Historical Museum

Lahti Historical Museum is situated in the former main building of Lahti manor house. The building was designed by architect Hjalmar Åberg (1870-1935) and built during the years 1897-1898. The manor was in the ownership of Captain and Court Counsellor August Fellman and his family until the year 1919, when the town of Lahti gained possession of the manor. The purpose of the Historical Museum is to collect, document, research, exhibit and publish historical, cultural-historical and ethnological material and oral tradition in its own area.

Guided Tour in Tytyrin Mine Museum

The Tytyri Mine Museum is located underground in a real limestone mine. The visitors get to experience the genuine feeling of the mines as they explore the cool and damp mine galleries. Visit to 100 metre-wide and 100 metre-deep underground cave gives a good picture of the huge size of Tytyri limestone mine.
