Gallery Veranda

Gallery Veranda is free to visit and open to all. The exhibitions are a great reason to stop at Finlandia Hall and enjoy our unique milieu and service. The gallery is open during Café Veranda’s opening hours. Exhibitions are managed by their organisers and works are sometimes available for purchase.

Have you ever kissed a Moose!!!??? In the backwoods of Mt. Himos, in the middle of deep forest, lies Moose Manor. Moose Manor is about simple pleasures of life. The tranquility of the forest and the pure flavors of the nature will give you an unique experience of traveling back in time and of our tasty country gourmet.

Convent Church – Past and Present Tour

The Naantali Church was built between 1460 and 1480 as a church for the Catholic Brigittine convent. Now, this only remaining part of the convent is the largest medieval building in Finland, excluding the Turku Cathedral. The Church is known for its portraits of Christ painted in connection to the consecration crosses. Permission to build the convent was given on the 23rd of August 1443. This is considered to be the founding date of both the convent and the town of Naantali. The most recent renovation of the church took place in 2011–2012.

Seurasaari Midsummer Bonfires

Traditional Finnish Midsummer festival for families is organised every Midsummer Eve in Seurasaari. The festival offers much to see and experience, with something for everyone: Midsummer maypole raised, spells, handcraft displays, children´s programme, folk dance and music, bonfires and dancing for all.

Explore Helsinki with a Local! A Local is your host and tour guide of the day (3 hours). You can choose what you would like to do or leave the planning to a Local. Restaurant Ylläshumina

Ylläshumina offers a delicious, mainly Finnish, daily buffet. We have themed buffets on Monday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's, Friday's and Sunday's. There is also a nice A La Carte list available with menu options. You won't leave our restaurant hungry, that is for sure!

Lappish Restaurant Saaga

Find the Magic of Lapland in the heart of Helsinki. Did you know the word 'Saaga' means story? A meal at the Lappish Restaurant Saaga is an enjoyable combination of tastes, tales and sensations. At Saaga you will find a slice of the rugged and beautiful nature as well as regional dishes and an atmosphere full of the exotic charm of the North. We bring the enchantment of Lapland to our guests in our service, interior decor and table settings, as well our food. The interior decor has a touch of Lappish artists and artisans.

Reindeer Herders' Banquet

Enjoy an evening with local food and lovely scenery in the peaceful Kopara restaurant. Your evening starts with welcome drinks, followed by a three course meal. Whilst you are enjoying your starter, our chef will tell you about reindeer cuisine. Following this you will be invited outside to check the night sky for Northern Lights. Afterwards we will serve the main course with the chef carving the meat. Whilst doing this he will explain more about reindeer meat as well as about local fish and their origins. The dessert will be served after the main course.

Restaurant NJK

This villa-type restaurant, located on the small island of Valkosaari, was built in 1900. It is one of the best locations for festivities during the summer season, as well as the most popular crayfish restaurant in town – and a wonderful setting for a tasty meal.

Siida Shop

Siida Shop is Siida's museum and nature shop. For visitors, it is an extension of the exhibitions. Here our guests can buy handicrafts and literature that celebrate Sámi culture and the Arctic, as well as souvenirs and postcards.

Shamans Mystery

Join us for a fascinating journey into the fairy forest, where spirits live, to visit a true shaman! You have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the spirits' communication rituals and hear stories about the life of a shaman. Many unforgettable moments are waiting for you! You will pass a purifying ritual in true shamanistic plague, enjoy a delicious dinner and get to taste the shaman's magic drink!

Guided Tours in Siida

Guided tours arranged visiting Siida’s permanent exhibitions and, in summer, also in the Open-Air Museum. We would like to especially recommend our guided tours for groups. The guided tours must be booked in advance.

Porvoo City Tour

Porvoo is Finland's second oldest town, a beautiful city full of history. The timeless and unique atmosphere in Old Porvoo attracts travelers from all over the world. The settlement in the Porvoo region began during the 13th and 14th centuries, and the town is mentioned in documents in the early 14th century. The Old Town provides one of Porvoo's most colorful sights and tourist attractions. Old Porvoo is famous for its narrow lanes and brick-colored riverside warehouses. Duration of the tour is 2h, and includes guiding service, transfer (for the group 1-3 persons).

Let us take you around by car to see the places where we like to take our friends and family. Get to know your guide and the local lifestyle while we chat away about life in Lapland and make stops for photos.

Walk with Helene in Snappertuna

Dramatic guided tour with artist Helene Schjerfbeck, who spent time in the village between 1890 and 1891. The tour also includes the Snappertuna church and museum. Take time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lover's Walk, which runs from the village to the Raseborg Castle ruins. The Raseborg castle dates back to the 1370's and was restored by Helenes brother in 1890 -1893. Plan for a full day out and enjoy a meal at the Castle Guard's Lodge (Slottsknektens stuga) which has served visitors since 1893. The restaurant and cafeteria serve local produce lovingly prepared in their own kitchen.

Celebrate Dance in Kuopio

The spectacular Kuopio Dance Festival is one of the most important regular celebrations of dance art in the Nordic countries. In addition to dance performances, the festival week will feature dozens of dance courses, street events, club evenings, parades and other attractions. The Artistic Director of Kuopio Dance Festival is the leading dancer and choreographer Jorma Uotinen.
