Gallen-Kallela Museum Visit

The beautiful surroundings and unique architecture of the Gallen-Kallela Museum provide a fine setting for a museum visit. The museum’s temporary exhibitions present the art and life of Gallen-Kallela and his contemporaries and present-day works of contemporary art.

The Savonlinna Opera Festival, founded in 1912, is the Finnish cultural event best known internationally and a leading Finnish tourist attraction. In over a century, it has grown into an international festival lasting one month. It attracts an annual total audience of around 60,000, a good 10 per cent from abroad. A visit to the opera in Savonlinna is an all-round experience made up of first-class opera performances and concerts, the unique atmosphere of a medieval castle and the beautiful town of Savonlinna in summer, set amid lakes, islands and forests.

Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman is a uniquely multi-talented singer equally at home with opera, gospel, and jazz. She has appeared with ensembles from the Berlin Philharmonic to jazz bands and sang everything from Richard Strauss to Joni Mitchell. Her largest audience was at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010. Measha Brueggergosman with the Orchestra and Chorus of the FNO conducted by Nick Davies promises an unforgettable evening!

Snowmobile Safari to the Levi Ice Gallery

We will enjoy the scenery while snowmobiling around the Levi fell to Luvattumaa. The 10 000 square meter snow and ice structure contains a snow hotel, snow chapel, ice bar, and an ice and snow art gallery. After a coffee break in the ”kota” restaurant, we will drive back to Levi through the beautiful forest scenery. Driving distance 35 km. Duration about 2–3 hours.

Circus with the Stars

Cirque du Soleil trapeze artist, Pauliina Räsänen, and world champion acrobat, Slava Volkov, are offering a unique opportunity to spend an enthralling day participating in circus-art workshops. The program includes a circus-art workshop where participants will learn various circus disciplines such as the tightrope, the trapeze, acrobatics, as well as manipulation and juggling skills. No previous circus experience is required and exercises are designed according to capabilities. Groups will also pay a visit to the Kustavi Clay Workshop in the heart of the archipelago.

2-Day Trip to North Cape and Saariselkä with King Crab and Husky Safari

Pielinen Museum

Take a journey back in time and discover North Karelian history at the Pielinen Museum – the second-largest open-air museum in Finland. The museum consists of the main building and an extensive outdoor area, which includes three farmhouses from different centuries, mills, forest workers' log cabins and timber floating machinery. The Pielinen Museum is located in beautiful surroundings by the river, near the town center. You can tour around the museum area either at your own pace or with a guide.
