Culture Coffee at Manor Ylhän Kartano

Manor restaurant Ylhän Kartano is a picturesque place to visit, just few steps from Spa Hotel Päiväkumpu. It is standing in between grand old apple trees that provide fresh apples to Päiväkumpu's kitchen every autumn. The building's history is interesting, and the place breathes old times charm and stories from visits through years. The package includes coffee or tea with a pastry in our idyllic salon, where the café's ladies greet you with a smile.

Taste of Finland: Gastronomy Tour

This interesting walking tour introduces you to Kallio, the most happening neighbourhood in Helsinki. The former working class area is today one of the most trendy areas in town, abundant with nice restaurants, shops and culture. You can taste some typical Finnish foods, like Finnish berries, Karelian pasties with egg butter, vendace, rye bread, marinated and salted whitefish, cold smoked salmon and different local cheeses. And fear not, you won't go without Finnish beer and spirits!

Our Life – Guided Tour at Kellokas

Culture has always been tied to the area's natural environment and the possibilities it provides. Hear the story of the villages on the fells on this guided tour through the exhibition Our Life – Meän Elämää. The Väylä River has been a travel route, a vein that connects the entire area, and that has helped the area's diverse culture develop into something extraordinary. Language is held in great regard and there is a good deal of support to keep it alive. Guided tours should be booked in advance from the visitor centre.

Overnight in Hotel Krapi & Bicycle Tour Around Beautiful Lake Tuusulanjärvi

What better than a bike tour? A bicycle path of 25 kilometres circles the lake. Along the way, you'll find much to see and do; museums (such as the Artist Homes Halosenniemi, Ahola and Ainola), cafés, restaurants, wonderful shops, the Sarvikallio recreational area, disc golf and beaches. Lend a bike & take a picnic basket along from the hotel. After the tour, you can bathe the dust off in the hotel's sauna and have dinner at one of the summer restaurants. Spend the night at Hotel Krapi and enjoy a rich buffet breakfast. A perfect mini vacation!

Arboretum Mustila was founded in 1902 as a test site for exotic trees. Today it remains a unique area of introduced trees and horticultural plants in Europe. Nearly 100 conifer species, more than 200 broad-leaved tree species and numerous shrubs, vines, bulbs and perennials have been planted in the arboretum, covering 120 hectares. What makes Mustila unique are the large, naturally developing stands that support most of the trees. Visitors can also enjoy our cafés, a Garden Centre, Wine Estate, and sheltered trails in the wild exotic forest.

Along the way, the changing architectural styles will give us visual references of the different historical eras of Helsinki. We are going to talk about culture, sports, architecture and give you a couple of funny stories. We will also offer you some suggestions and recommendations of what to do in Helsinki: where to dine and what to experience. During the tour we also get a taste of Finnish foods.

Restaurant Ruukinranta

The restaurant Ruukinranta offers a large variety of food made out of local ingredients. The local fishermen and hunters deliver fish and meat directly to the restaurant. The fish is caught in the lake next to the restaurant (pike, pike-perch, perch and vendace). On the menu you also find several courses made of local wild elk (Alces alces).

One ticket, three attractions! Culture pass is a handy way to experience the most interesting attractions in Rovaniemi! With the pass you can learn about the history of Lapland and Arctic research in Arktikum, get to know northern contemporary art in Korundi House of Culture and familiarize yourself with the many meanings of northern forests in Science Centre Pilke. Culture pass is personal and valid for seven days.

Visit the Rauma Maritime Museum!

The Rauma Maritime Museum offers you an in-depth view of the maritime cultural heritage in Rauma, the third-oldest town in Finland, to which the sea and seafaring have always been vitally important. The museum offers experiences for children as well. In most museums, touching is not allowed – the Maritime Museum encourages children to learn by playing and touching artifacts that are marked with red dots. The navigation simulator Jenny is also a visitor favourite. Guided museum tours in English are available – please book ahead!

Helsinki Tour + Sibelius Visit

The tour includes all entry fees to the main sights of Helsinki as well as Sibelius' home visit and coffee, cake and concert at Villa Kokkonen.
