Wild Food Excursions

During our wild food excursions, you will get to know some Finnish superfoods, learn where to find them, and see how they taste. Our nature guide will take you on a walk where you gather wild food of the season and prepare a super picnic together.

Berry-Picking Countryside Excursion

Experience a Finnish berry farm. See where our delicious berries (strawberries, raspberries etc.) grow. 
Taste them directly from the field, guaranteed fresh local food at Raijan Aitta.
 Pick your own strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants directly from our garden, swim in clean waters or walk in the beautiful landscape. Price including guidance, information, containers and tasting. You can also find handicrafts and linen clothes in our little shop – and enjoy the best strawberry cake you ever tasted in our little café. We are here to make your day unforgettable.

Mushroom Hunting Tour

The tour's theme, mushrooms picking, is one of the popular pastimes of Finns. During this tour there is plenty of time to get to know the Finnish forest and it’s treasures: hug trees for inner strength, eat blueberries directly from the twigs and pick mushrooms. Here the visitors can experience the Nordic everyman's rights in practice. During the break around a campfire, we smell the fire and hear it’s sounds, enjoy the fresh aroma of the coffee and mushrooms which will get our taste buds going.

Wild Herbs Walk

Walk in beautiful surroundings of forests and meadows together with a professional herbalist. Learn about Finnish edible and medicinal wild herbs, their qualities and use and where and how to pick them.

Refreshing Outdoor Weekend

No light pollution, only fresh air and fascinating nature scenery between lakes and forests await you. Our special weekend package introduces you to our most popular activities, fatbike rides and canoeing or wintertime snowshoeing. During the day, you will enjoy these sports safely with our guide. Our routes take you along the Kanta-Häme region, including the deepest swamp in Finland. In the evening, you can warm up in one of our cozy lakeside saunas and take a dip in the water. Some nights when the sky is clear, you might even see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)!

At Dusk in Kullasmarina, 2 Days

Your path will be lighter and easier after a yoga class. Also, your muscles and body will recover faster after a hike if you take a yoga class where you surrender yourself to deep yoga stretches. The classes take place at Hossa Visitor Center during the summer and autumn.

Pancakes and Berry Picking in Pure Nature

Rovaniemi is an ideal place for berry and mushroom picking. Berry picking is a great way of enjoying the outdoors and unwinding in the midst of natural beauty. Wild berries are available almost all summer – blueberries and cloudberries ripen first, while lingonberries and cranberries arrive in late summer and autumn. We will start along the hiking path, but soon you can experience walking in moss-covered ground. The guide will tell you about the basics of the fresh food ingredients which you can collect from pure nature.

Hossa's magnificent lake and ridge views provide perfect scenery for this calming and relaxing 2,5-hour experience which consists of a little hike, some yoga and mindfulness in nature and 30 minutes of sauna yoga.
