11 km Reindeer Ride to Turf Chamber at Kukkura

This reindeer tour takes you to a traditional turf chamber. You will learn to lasso, have some snacks by the open fire, and hear stories about reindeers and Lappish life. We will then return back to the farm through a silent, snowy forest. Duration 4 hours, temperature limit -25°C.

Call of the Wild Husky Adventure

Get away from the city and enjoy the magical forests of the lappish wilderness, while driving your own dog-team. The sound of the panting huskies and the snow underneath your sled is the perfect soundtrack for this adventure. During the tour we drive about 16-22 km. The husky excursion lasts about 3 hours.

Lakeside Sauna Trip with Ice Fishing and Snowshoeing

A day of lakeside fun awaits! First we’ll take you out ice fishing. A professional will instruct you in the proper use of the tools, and if the fish are biting, we’ll put what you catch on the grill. You also have a chance to try one of Lapland’s older forms of traverse in the snow: the snowshoe. Later we'll prepare some fire-grilled sausage, mushroom soup, and more. After our time out in the snow, we retreat to a lakeside sauna, just on the other side of the lake. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a dip in the hole in the ice just outside the sauna!

Introduction to Snowmobiling

Would you like to try snowmobiling, but have doubts if you are up to it? Then this is the safari for you! Our guide will teach you how to handle the snowmobile and you will make a short drive to get used to the machine. We use specially customised snowmobiles that make riding easier and safer for first-timers. And after this, you will be ready for longer safaris!

Aurora Borealis Safari by Snowmobiles

Come and experience an exotic Arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes by snowmobile. With a little luck, if the sky is clear, the moon, stars and even the Northern Lights may show you the way. Enjoy a delicious snack of sausages and warm drinks around an open fire before returning to the Safari Club by snowmobile.

Snowmobile Safari to the Icebreaker

Snowmobile safari to the Mighty Icebreaker Sampo is an experience of the arctic freedom at its fullest. A journey through the frozen sea, climbing aboard the Icebreaker and an incredible adventure swimming in the icy sea with the survival suit on. Guided tour aboard and tasty lunch included.

Picnic Trip by Paddling for Two

A do-it-yourself paddling trip in a double kayak. Spend a nice day paddling on our clear waters. Feel and taste the wellness and energy that only Finnish nature can give you. Paddling in a double kayak with your close friend is very easy way to take a trip on a lake. You may stop at a nature reserve and have a picnic lunch around a campfire. After spending a day paddling, swimming and enjoying nature, you are full of energy and ready for new adventures. Everything you need is included: kayak, safety vests, picnic meal, tea or coffee pot, maps, and advice.

Helsinki City Run Half Marathon

Helsinki City Run is the biggest running event in Finland with over 12 000 participants (2016). Helsinki City Run (HCR) takes place mid-May every year. The route combines city, sea-view, forests and parks and is an excellent way to see Helsinki and its most beautiful parts. There are 10 start groups, so you can join runners going your preferred pace. HCR hosts the best services for runners in Finland. We invite you and your friends for a great and active time in Helsinki!

Snowmobile Safari to Reindeer Farm

A snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm. First you will learn about our Lappish culture and reindeer husbandry. Everyone who passes a reindeer-driving test will be issued an international reindeer driver's license, and you have the opportunity to participate in a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. Enjoy a cup of hot coffee or berry juice before returning back to town.

Guided Nature Walks

Our guides will take you on safe hikes in the beautiful landscapes of Porosalmi. You can enjoy nature and fresh air while learning something new. A hike in the forest is calming, refreshing, and rejuvenating. It has been proven that being in nature contributes to your physical and mental wellbeing in many ways. You can choose from different themes. The guide will adjust the speed and length of the hike depending on the physical condition of the participants. Start your walk from Järvisydän or Porokylä. Day Trip to Sweden with Icebreaker Cruise and Lunch

Take a day tour to Sweden, only 30 km away. The three-hour icebreaker cruise is a unique Arctic experience on the Gulf of Bothnia. The union of majestic steel, ice, and the sea will be unlike anything you’ve experienced. We will also see small Swedish villages and towns and have lunch in one of them.

Helsinki–Tallinn 22-Hour Cruise

Silja Europa, the largest cruise ship on the Baltic Sea, takes you comfortably from Helsinki to Tallinn. The nautical atmosphere, splendid food, and great shopping possibilities make it worthwhile to travel by sea to Medieval Tallinn. Enjoy delicious dinner, buy fantastic souvenirs and relax in the spa area. Have good night's sleep onboard and discover the sights of Tallinn for 4 hours the next day. You’ll be back in Helsinki in the afternoon!

Biking & Canoeing Holiday at Lake Saimaa

1 night, 2 days After check-in, bike to Mikkeli city centre through beautiful Finnish sceneries, all by yourself. There are plenty of places to stop for a picnic or swim, so feel free to indulge yourself. City maps are available in the hotel reception. Then choose a canoe or rowing boat from Kyyhkylä's shore and enjoy a cruise at your own pace. Dinner at the Manor. The next morning you can go Nordic Walking after breakfast and enjoy Kyyhkylä's beautiful lakeside views.

6 km Husky Loop – Self-Driven Husky Safari

After a guided tour, a guide will tell you how to drive a dog sled. The exciting 6 km Husky safari will take place in the beautiful winter landscape. After the safari, we will enjoy warm juice and biscuits. Two persons per dog sled team. Duration: 1.5 hours.

The Piste Rental Shop, located in the heart of Ruka village, provides standard rental sets for your favourite snow sports. Santa's Farm Experience (December only)

Come to Santa’s Farm and meet the man himself at his Lapland retreat just outside of Levi, take the chance to say hello to a few of his reindeers, and enjoy a short sleigh ride around the yard. Complete your tour by enjoying some mulled wine and gingerbread cookies to keep the chill at bay. Sulo the mini-pig, Eemeli the curly horse and all other Farm animals would love to meet you! You may include personal gifts in the program if you wish.
