Canoeing in the Beautiful Turku Archipelago

Enjoy the peace and silence of the Archipelago in your own rental kayak. Glide quietly on the waves, breathe the fresh air, listen to the seabirds and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Nature Catch

We start our trip with a forest walk and depending on the season, we pick herbs, berries or mushrooms along our way. We have a break by the open fire where the guide will show you how to handle and use our catch. Lunch at a local cafeteria. After lunch, it’s time to start our kayaking trip. Previous experience is not necessary. After kayaking, we drive to the harbour in Lahti, where you have time to visit a café or do some shopping. Duration: 8 hours All kayaking equipment, as well as guiding, transport, and lunch included.

Seal Trips and Wildlife Watching

Since 1996, we have arranged boat safaris and wildlife watching trips in Linnansaari National Park. Our lake safaris include a local nature guide, who will take you to the best sections of the national park and to the home waters of Saimaa Ringed Seal and osprey. The best time of the year to spot the rare seals is in May and early June. You can book a safari online or at our sales office.

Cruises in the Baltic Sea

Viking Line offers cruises in the Baltic Sea between Finland, Åland and Sweden. Viking Line also offers travel packages in both hotel and in cottages, eg golf, cycling and fishing. It is also possible to book accommodation and activities ashore on Åland via Viking Line.

Santa Claus Safari

Our most popular safari combines nature, culture and the spirit of Christmas. The day starts with a snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm, where you will learn about reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You can take a reindeer ride and attend a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon, the trip continues by car to Santa Claus Village with time to go shopping in Santa Claus’ Village. You will also have an opportunity to send postcards from Santa Claus’ main post office. During the day you get to meet Santa Claus himself and enjoy a delicious lunch in a cosy rest.

2-Day Whale Watching Trip to Tromsø with Arctic Cathedral and Polar Museum

Get ready for two days of true Nordic experiences. We’ll pick you up in Rovaniemi and take you up to Tromsø in Northern Norway. On the way, we will have a stopover in “the thumb of Finland’s arm”, not far from the legendary Saana fell, where you’ll have free time to have lunch. In Tromsø, you can find out all about the local history and culture by visiting the Polar Museum, as well as the amazing Arctic Cathedral. The programme also includes gazing at the Northern Lights and a whale watching trip.

Day Cruise to Tallinn

The cruise leaves Helsinki in the morning, arriving Tallinn a few hours later, returning from Tallinn in the evening. You will have more than seven hours to spend in Tallinn!

Guidance to Finnish Nature

The tour at the main exhibition will fascinate the visitor with its enthralling visualization of Finnish nature from the archipelago to the windswept fells of Arctic Lapland. During the guidance you will also find out about the ecological building and about the myths of the Finnish forests.

Turku - Åland Islands Cruise

Day cruise to Mariehamn takes 12 hours. Spend a day in the archipelago – cruise with M/S Amorella from Turku to Mariehamn. In Mariehamn you change ships for the return trip with the new M/S Viking Grace. Enjoy the modern interior design, exciting restaurant concepts, and the largest floating tax-free shop in the world, combined with the beautiful scenery of the archipelago.

Aurora Snowmobile Safari

Come and experience the blazing Northern Lights! Your journey starts as darkness falls. Once in the wilderness, we explore the changing skies and with some luck, spot the Northern Lights. The safari covers about 35 km. Warm beverages are served during the safari. Duration: 2–3 hours.

Cosy Finnish Mölkky Evening

Mölkky is a Finnish game played with throwing pins. It is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. During the Mölkky Evening you will learn to play the game with your local hosts. You are invited to their home to have a snack and beverages during the game evening. Most homes can host 1–4 guests, some up to ten. Bigger groups are divided to several locations. Mölkky is an outside game and can be replaced by indoors activity if the weather is poor. No special clothing is needed; comfort is key.

Scenic Safari by Snowmobile

This snowmobile safari is about enjoying the beautiful nature of Fell Lapland and taking your own time. The route climbs up the fells all the way to the top, where a beautiful landscape opens up. Remember to bring your camera, as we will stop to take pictures! Hot berry juice included.

Wild Herbs

This trip teaches you how to recognise some common herbs in nature. Today, it is more and more popular to use natural herbs in salads, pies, soups, etc. We walk to a forest meadow and pick up seasonal herbs and make a salad for a snack. You can bring your own basket, knife, and notebook with you – or borrow a basket and knife from your guide. Duration: 3 hours. We walk in variable ground, so you need to wear good shoes.

Ruka Scenery Lift & Summer Sled Track

The Ruka Sled Track is an exciting way to make your way down from the mountain: the run is 1 km long and offers speeds up to 60 km/h! You can also take scenery lift down, if you simply wish to enjoy the fantastic views. Come and experience the Summer Sled Track!

Helsinki‒Stockholm Cruise

Enjoy a relaxing cruise between the capital cities of Finland and Sweden; Helsinki and Stockholm. Our ships offer a wide variety of onboard activities, visit one of the restaurants and bars and take in the spectacular scenery of the famous Scandinavian archipelago, shop brand name goods at the tax free shops, unwind at the spa, or enjoy great entertainment and music in the nightclub. You will have two nights on board and a full day at your leisure to explore the city of your destination.

Northern Lights Trip

Join our legendary Northern Lights trip to maximise your chances of seeing this great natural Arctic phenomenon. The Northern Lights trip has received excellent feedback already for years. Our destination is the best possible location – a place with no other lights at all, the northern sky fully open and the weather is often clear, even if it is cloudy or foggy in town. We take a little walk up the hill, make a fire in the tepee and enjoy warm beverages with barbeque snacks while watching the sky.

Taiga Husky Tour

A wilderness husky tour for about 7,5 hours, including a campfire lunch. The perfect way to experience the magnificent taiga forests of Lapland. Enjoy the sound of silence as you mush your own dog-team through the remote trails just north of Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle. We travel 30-40 km during this tour. After or during the tour (weather dependant), we enjoy a hearty campfire lunch. You can choose to drive your sled alone, or share the experience with a partner.
