Evening Cruise with Steamship Ukkopekka

During summer evenings Steamship Ukkopekka sails from Turku to the fascinating small island of Loistokari. There is everything you need for a wonderful evening: delicious dinner inspired by the Finnish archipelago with a variety of fish and barbecue specialties, along with live music and dancing on the pier. Archipelago Route to Kustavi - Fabulous Cruise from Naantali

Fabulous crossing on board the M/S Aavatar in summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The enchanting route from Naantali, via Taivassalo to Kustavi is a shortcut for cyclists and a mini cruise for others spending time in the archipelago; there is a variety of magnificent destinations along the way for day and overnight trips. You can buy beverages (fully licensed) and small snacks on board.

Arctic Expedition - Premium Husky Sled Ride in Nuuksio National Park

Enjoy the Finnish nature in a mystic dog sled ride through the forest. Meet our friendly huskies and hear the stories of dog mushing. You'll ride safely through the up's an down's of Nuuksio National Park, pulled by Siberian huskies. In the 3-hour-version we'll make a nice stop close to a lake, often frozen, and enjoy of a typical Finnish snack and delicacies by the fire, with special hot coffee. In the 2-hour-version we'll drive a bit less and cook coffee by the fire back at the base camp. We'll use dog carts or dog sleds.

Aurora Borealis Safari by Snowmobile

Experience the Arctic night by driving through the snow-covered forest and on the frozen river. With a little luck, you’ll travel under a bright sky lit by the moon and the stars. Perhaps the Aurora Borealis – the Northern Lights – will appear to show you the way. Sip warm beverages and savour a snack by a campfire and learn more about the Northern Lights and Lapland.

Aurora Borealis Safari by Snowmobiles

Come and experience an exotic Arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes by snowmobile. With a little luck, if the sky is clear, the moon, stars and even the Northern Lights may show you the way. Enjoy a delicious snack of sausages and warm drinks around an open fire before returning to the Safari Club by snowmobile.

Aurora Watching at the Snow Village

Board the coach to the breath taking Snow Village. Upon arrival enjoy a fascinating Northern Lights film in the snow theatre, and learn more about how they are built. We will search for our own glimpse of the Northern Lights and if luck is on our side, may see them ourselves! Either way, the Snow Village guided tour of the decorated suites, sculptures and ice restaurant will surely feast your eyes. Hot juice will be served during the trip. Return to Levi by coach.

Aurora's Whispers – Northern Lights Fact and Fiction

Did you know that Hankasalmi is one of the most significant places for Aurora Borealis research? Learn facts and fiction about the Norhern lights at the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi. Learn wether Auroras make sound, for instance. Afterwards we take our cameras and go chase Auroras on lake Virmas. Weather permitting, we will admire the colourful Auroras and thousands of stars in the dark blue sky. Afterwards we'll enjoy some warm refreshment by the open fire in a Finnish kota (forest hut).

Boat to Linnansaari National Park

Linnansaari is the largest island in the national park. Well-marked hiking trails, fireplaces, a sauna, camping locations and an Eco Hostel await you on the island. Linnansaari is easy to reach by boat from the Oravi village. There is a regular boat connection four times a day in July–August from the Oravi harbour to the Sammakkoniemi camp site on Linnansaari. You can buy tickets online or at the reception in Oravi. Other times (May–October) you can book a water taxi from Oravi.

Call of the Wild Husky Adventure

Get away from the city and enjoy the magical forests of the lappish wilderness, while driving your own dog-team. The sound of the panting huskies and the snow underneath your sled is the perfect soundtrack for this adventure. During the tour we drive about 16-22 km. The husky excursion lasts about 3 hours.

Canoeing in the Beautiful Turku Archipelago

Enjoy the peace and silence of the Archipelago in your own rental kayak. Glide quietly on the waves, breathe the fresh air, listen to the seabirds and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Have a delicious dinner in the delightful Stallbacken restaurant, and finish the day with a traditional Finnish farm sauna. This paddling package offers physical activity, but is suitable for all.

Chasing Northern Lights and River Diamonds

This is an unforgettable trip into Finnish nature. We go chase river diamonds with our cameras in the Konnevesi rapids. The next night, we chase Auroras on Lake Virmas. We also go hiking in the wintery forest and scale Hyyppäänvuori, where you can enjoy the silence of our clean nature coverded in white snow. We'll visit the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi, where we learn facts and fiction about the Northern Lights, space and stars. You'll also have a chance to try different kinds of relaxing saunas at the Revontuli Resort (smoke sauna, tent sauna, spell sauna).

Cosy Finnish Mölkky Evening

Mölkky is a Finnish game played with throwing pins. It is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. During the Mölkky Evening you will learn to play the game with your local hosts. You are invited to their home to have a snack and beverages during the game evening. Most homes can host 1–4 guests, some up to ten. Bigger groups are divided to several locations. Mölkky is an outside game and can be replaced by indoors activity if the weather is poor. No special clothing is needed; comfort is key.

Cruises in the Baltic Sea

Viking Line offers cruises in the Baltic Sea between Finland, Åland and Sweden. Viking Line also offers travel packages in both hotel and in cottages, eg golf, cycling and fishing. It is also possible to book accommodation and activities ashore on Åland via Viking Line.

Day Cruise to Tallinn

The cruise leaves Helsinki in the morning, arriving Tallinn a few hours later, returning from Tallinn in the evening. You will have more than seven hours to spend in Tallinn!

Excursion to Aurora Borealis Camp by Bus

This excursion takes you to the Aurora Borealis camp located 10 km away from the city lights with unlimited view to the northern sky. At the resort you will find the Aurora Borealis theatre built inside a massive snow igloo, presenting a film about the myths and facts about this natural phenomenon. You will also have time to roam around the resort, take a brisk sleigh ride in a snowmobile-drawn sleigh, or you can just lay back in the snow by the open fire and admire the northern sky. And don’t forget to enjoy the traditional reindeer burgers cooked on the open fire in our kota (teepee)!

Excursion to Northern Lights Resort by Bus

This excursion takes you to the Northern light Resort located approximately 20 km away from the city lights with good view to the northern sky. At the resort you will find the Aurora Borealis theatre build inside a massive snow igloo, presenting a film about the myths and facts of this natural phenomenon along with spectacular photos of the Northern Lights. You will also have time to roam around the resort, admire the bar igloo or take a brisk sleigh ride with snowmobile drawn sleigh. Don’t forget to enjoy the the traditional reindeer burgers in wooden Kammi cabin by the open fire.
