Surrounded by Wilderness: 7-day Cabin Holiday with Winter Activities in Hossa National Park

A package tour for those who want to experience the northern winter, get to know our culture in an authentic way and be active in a winter wonderland. The trip includes three daily snowshoe hikes, a 4-hour trip with sled dogs and a day spent feeding reindeer, ice-fishing and driving a snowmobile at our private farm. You'll be experiencing authentic Finnish cabin life and enjoying the peaceful surroundings with your local guide, at your service from welcome till farewell.

Beauty of the Fells

First we take the easy way up by car. Then it's time to put the snowshoes on. With them, we will become the heroes of the fell by summiting its highest point. After some heroic pictures, we head down, landing right in the center of the village. On our way, we admire the beautiful landscape of the fells around and sit down for a break to enjoy small snacks and hot berry juice.

Santa's Farm Experience (December only)

Come to Santa’s Farm and meet the man himself at his Lapland retreat just outside of Levi, take the chance to say hello to a few of his reindeers, and enjoy a short sleigh ride around the yard. Complete your tour by enjoying some mulled wine and gingerbread cookies to keep the chill at bay. Sulo the mini-pig, Eemeli the curly horse and all other Farm animals would love to meet you! You may include personal gifts in the program if you wish.

Unique day with Yoga and Husky Therapy, 5 hours

Welcome to visit a tiny family-husky-farm near Rovaniemi, where eight huskies are just like the rest of the family members. We live at an old farm 13 km out from town at the picturesque scenery on the lake shore. It is our pleasure to invite you to visit our home and meet these special furry friends. We start our relaxing day by doing yoga practise in the beautiful yoga shala with a lake view in our home. After a little revitalising snack we will take the huskies and go to enjoy the fresh air by skiing or sledge riding.

Picnic Trip by Paddling for Two

A do-it-yourself paddling trip in a double kayak. Spend a nice day paddling on our clear waters. Feel and taste the wellness and energy that only Finnish nature can give you. Paddling in a double kayak with your close friend is very easy way to take a trip on a lake. You may stop at a nature reserve and have a picnic lunch around a campfire. After spending a day paddling, swimming and enjoying nature, you are full of energy and ready for new adventures. Everything you need is included: kayak, safety vests, picnic meal, tea or coffee pot, maps, and advice.

Visit the Distant Island of Aspö and its 11 Inhabitants

Take a one-day waterbus trip to the most beautiful and genuine island of Aspö. Aspö is a distant island in the outer Archipelago of Finland. Only 11 people live there year-round. Nonetheless, they have a long history of traditional music, a beautiful white church, a nature trail and a fish shop. In the summertime, it becomes a popular sailing harbour with a sauna available for rent.

Puumala Archipelago Tour by Bike

The tour starts in Puumala and advances over the Puumala Bridge towards the archipelago. Accommodation will be at Nestorinranta, followed by a boat ride across Vetojako Strait to Hurissalo. The tour then continues along the Lietvesi landscape route back to Puumala.

From Guesthouse to Guesthouse Cross-Country Skiing Tour

Set out for a tour by skis to the idyllic countryside of North Karelia. Snow, white forests and frozen lakes; February and March are the best times of the year for skiing in North Karelia. The sun is shining, the snow glistens, the frozen lakes and hills are covered with a thick coat of snow.

Introduction to Paddling

The goal of this introduction is to learn the basic skills for kayaking and/or canoeing. Introduction takes place at the shore on shallow waters. Once you’ve learned the basics we will make a brief paddling trip towards Juuma village. After the introduction you can use the kayaks/canoes free of charge during guided trips!

West Coast Golf Tour - Experience Five Different Golf Courses

The west coast of Finland is an area known of its stunning coastline, beautiful archipelago of islands and islets, delta, rivers, forests and lakes, which means that the golf courses are very varied and picturesque. This unique golf tour takes you to five different courses that are friendly, relaxed and ideal for amateurs who are keen to play some golf and socialise. On the last evening of the tour, there will be a celebratory dinner together with an awards ceremony.

Go ashore on one of the skerries and explore its unique nature. Go for a swim in the sea and afterwards enjoy a delicious dinner in our pleasant restaurant.

Magic of the Northern Lights

Once dusk falls over Northern nature, the magical Northern Lights will appear on the sky. This snowshoe adventure is the perfect way to explore winter landscapes authentically, and with a bit of luck, you might see the amazing show of Aurora Borealis. The trip starts from the Safari Center, then you will head up to the Vuokatti hills enjoying the amazing snow-covered forest and peaceful nature. From the top of the hill, you can admire the amazing view with all the lights shining from the village.

Santa Claus Safari

Our most popular safari combines nature, culture and the spirit of Christmas. The day starts with a snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm, where you will learn about reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You can take a reindeer ride and attend a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon, the trip continues by car to Santa Claus Village with time to go shopping in Santa Claus’ Village. You will also have an opportunity to send postcards from Santa Claus’ main post office. During the day you get to meet Santa Claus himself and enjoy a delicious lunch in a cosy rest.

Saimaa Ringed Seal Safari

The Saimaa Ringed Seal is an endangered creature that lives only in Lake Saimaa. Early summer is the best time to spot the seal, as they are often lying on the rocks. The cruise takes you to the Linnansaari National Park on our charming wooden boat. During the trip, we will search the seal's habitat while also observing Osprey nests. After the safari, we head to Kaarnetsaari Island, where we enjoy coffee and snacks.

Seaching for Reindeer in the National Park on Fridays

Our challenge is to find reindeer and see how they live their life in the Pallas-Ylläs National Park. Reindeer tend to favour a specific area of the Pallas fells. That's where we are headed. You also have a chance to taste traditional dried reindeer meat with some local bread. We will visit the Vatikuru valley, well-known for its countless birds and peaceful atmosphere. The trip is overseen by a certified Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park Guide on Fridays.

Lighthouse Island Tankar

Today, Tankar is one of Finland's most important lighthouse islands in terms of tourism. The lighthouse from 1889, the chapel from 1754 and the Sealing Museum are the most popular attractions on the island. You can also enjoy a delicious traditional salmon soup on the outdoor patio.
