Children's Winter Park

The Porokylä Winter Park gives the whole family a chance to play in the snow. The entrance fee includes the use of the carousel sled, snow shoes, children’s snowmobiles and toboggan slide. The cafeteria provides warm drinks, which you can enjoy by the fireplace. During Christmas, Santa will visit Porokylä and the reindeers. The park is open in December–March depending on snow conditions. See the opening hours on our website!

Overnight in Hotel Krapi & Bicycle Tour Around Beautiful Lake Tuusulanjärvi

What better than a bike tour? A bicycle path of 25 kilometres circles the lake. Along the way, you'll find much to see and do; museums (such as the Artist Homes Halosenniemi, Ahola and Ainola), cafés, restaurants, wonderful shops, the Sarvikallio recreational area, disc golf and beaches. Lend a bike & take a picnic basket along from the hotel. After the tour, you can bathe the dust off in the hotel's sauna and have dinner at one of the summer restaurants. Spend the night at Hotel Krapi and enjoy a rich buffet breakfast. A perfect mini vacation!

Expedition Tour

Dive into the lunar landscapes in the very North of Finland. For five days, you will hardly see any trees – only vast white plains of snowy fells (Lappish hills) and small mountains. With your guide and a small group, you will venture into an Arctic wilderness reserve on fell skis and pull a "pulka" or sledge that holds all the equipment and food needed for the week. You will sleep inside warm sleeping bags in tents and cook your meals with on a camping stove. A unique experience that combines the spirit of exploration, defying forces of nature and team performance.

Korouoma Canyon Tour

Korouoma is a 30 kilometres long and up to 130 meters deep canyon fracture valley. The canyon and its high cliffs form a breathtaking landscape that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Korouoma is located in the region of Koillismaa in Southern Lapland. The area’s landscape is exceptionally rugged and grand. Several steep 30-meter streams freeze during the winter and create huge ice formations, offering fantastic views and colours. A great place for landscape photography all year around.

Cycling Holiday in Southwest Finland – Self-Guided 9 Days / 8 Nights

9-day self-guided cycling holiday in Southwest Finland will bring you from Salo to Kimitoön, passing Teijo National Park and lovely countryside all the way south out to the Archipelago National Park. You cycle along small countryside roads, forest paths and scenic cycle routes. Besides the beautiful and varying nature and scenery, there is much to see and experience along the route; small, lively villages with culturohistorical ironworks buildings, mills, red ochre houses, and the majestic Bengtskär lighthouse. Reindeer Safari and Ice Fishing Experience

This unique tour combines a visit to a local reindeer farm, located next to a beautiful lake, not far from Rovaniemi. You will meet the real reindeer herders, who will tell you about their way of life, hand in hand with nature. You can feed the reindeer with their favourite snacks and have a 2,5 km sleigh ride pulled by a reindeer along the beautiful forest trails. After getting to know the reindeer, we will go to the frozen lake, where herders often spend their free time catching fish.

8 Months of Aurora Adventure

Northern Lights can be seen from late August to the end of March. Lucky Ranch is a great place to spot Northern Lights since we are away from city lights. Open landscapes and a north-facing yard help too. During the program, you will meet the animals of the ranch and hear stories about Northern Lights while sitting in a hut by the open fire. After a short walk to lake Pyhäjärvi, you can enjoy the beautiful Northern scenery.

Boat to Linnansaari National Park

Linnansaari is the largest island in the national park. Well-marked hiking trails, fireplaces, a sauna, camping locations and an Eco Hostel await you on the island. Linnansaari is easy to reach by boat from the Oravi village. There is a regular boat connection four times a day in July–August from the Oravi harbour to the Sammakkoniemi camp site on Linnansaari. You can buy tickets online or at the reception in Oravi. Other times (May–October) you can book a water taxi from Oravi.

Evening Snack and Pancakes

Would you like to enjoy some peace and quiet? Just listen to the sounds of silence, sit by the bonfire and look at the sunset or see the stars in the sky? Maybe even get a glimpse of the Northern Lights, if you're lucky. If that sounds appealing, this activity is for you! Enjoy a traditional Finnish outdoor snack and cook some pancakes on the open fire! Suitable for all ages.

Adventure in B&B Kirjakkala Ironmills Village

In Teijo National Park you can experience Finnish nature on a mini-scale; lakes, forests, marshes, streams and the sea. The National Park is also a gateway to the archipelago. There's more than 50 km's of marked trails with cooking shelters along the way. You can trek, cross-country ski, fish, cycle, pick berries and mushrooms or go wild swimming. Kirjakkala Ironmills village was established in 1600's and tells you the story of Finnish industrialization. The environment has been preserved for more than 300 years. Old buildings are in new use as accommodation now.

Seitseminen National Park

Visit the heritage farm at Kovero to see how crofters used to make their living in these remote backwoods. Learn about the park's flora and fauna at the Seitseminen Nature Centre – the best place to start exploring the old forests, lakes and marshes of this fascinating part of Finland's backwoods.

Aurora Hunting at the Arctic Circle

Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon related to solar winds, so we can't switch on this stunning light show, no matter how much we would like to, but we can provide the ultimate circumstances to learn and hopefully see them live during this trip. Enjoy a spectacular view over treetops in the unique suites of Arctic TreeHouse Hotel. Personal Aurora Alarm Realtime system will keep you informed via SMS when Auroras are visible during your stay in Rovaniemi. You can also visit a Lappish handicraft workshop.

Arctic Survival Mini Courses in Pyhätunturi

What is a quinzee and how do you actually survive in the arctic wilderness? Join us at Pyhätunturi and we will take you out for an all-night arctic survival mini course. You will have the chance to build your own snow quinzee also know as a snow shelter, sleep under the stars and learn first-hand skills on winter survival. We also provide half-day courses and theory lessons, just ask for more information. Our guides are certified by the Finnish Survival Guild, experienced arctic explorers and have been teaching survival skills for many years.

Floating in the Lake

Put on a drysuit and jump into the freezing water. Floating among the ice is very comfortable and fun when you stay warm and dry. In the evening you can admire the stars in the sky and relax in the quiet. During the day, you can enjoy the bright winter sun. You can also find your inner Saimaa ringed seal and crawl around on the ice! You will receive warm clothes, drysuits and life vests for your safety and comfort.

The Secret Life of Trees

Let the shaman drum lead you on a fascinating 8 km hike to the rock paintings of Värikallio, one of the most interesting sights in Hossa National Park. On the way, you will hear interesting stories about trees and old Finnish beliefs concerning nature. You will learn interesting things about the Language of Trees and forests in Finland – maybe you will even find your own Power Tree.
