Snow Surfing at Lucky Ranch

The Pyhä area is a freerider's paradise. The long season and heavy snowfall mean there is always something to shred. You can reach the Soutaja backcountry without transportation from Lucky Ranch. Lucky Ranch is a test centre for Ilahu snow surfboards and home to many freeriders. Price includes a guide, a snow surfboard, hot drinks, and snacks. Suitable even for beginners.

Glimpse of the Arctic - Huskies in Nuuksio National Park

Meet the huskies of Nuuksio National Park in peaceful nature surroundings. Take turns in dog sled riding on a short but a safe track pulled by our people-loving Siberian huskies. While you ride, your friends can enjoy watching your experience. Depending on track and weather, you can also drive yourself. Enter 'Kota', the traditional Sami tent and hear the stories of the Arctic reliving the experience by an open fire. A hot drink is included. We'll use dog sleds or dog carts.

Seeing the Northern lights is an experience beyond description, one that you will never forget.The best locations for hunting the Northern Lights are very easily accessible on snowshoes. Total darkness and silence in the middle of a snowy forest create an expectant atmosphere that makes the hunt even more exciting. Our experienced guide leads you safely to places where you have a good chance to see the Northern Lights. You will also learn interesting facts about the Northern Lights as well as Lappish nature and history.

Ice Fishing

Sitting on the ice of Lake Pyhäjärvi and ice fishing is very relaxing. For a couple of hours, you can forget your busy life and concentrate on the silence of the wilderness. If you are lucky, you might catch some perch, white fish or rainbow trout. The package includes ice fishing gear, a guide, and some snacks.

Guided Ice Fishing Trip

During this guided ice fishing trip, you will get to know traditional Finnish wintertime fishing. Our guide will teach you the basics and give special tips for catching perch, zander (pikeperch), and pike. Ice fishing means fishing through a hole in the ice that covers the lake. The hole will be drilled with a special ice drilling tool. An ice fishing backpack is included in the price (one per person) and you get to keep it afterwards. The ice drill is on loan. At the end of the fishing trip, the guide shows you how to prepare fish according to Finnish traditions.

Snowmobile Sledge Safari

Join us on a thrilling snowmobile safari around the beautiful lake areas of Kelontekemä and Silmäsjärvi. During our safari, we go ice fishing, grill sausages and brew coffee on an open fire. You can either take all the fish caught with you or prepare and enjoy them during the safari.

Overnight in Hotel Krapi & Bicycle Tour Around Beautiful Lake Tuusulanjärvi

What better than a bike tour? A bicycle path of 25 kilometres circles the lake. Along the way, you'll find much to see and do; museums (such as the Artist Homes Halosenniemi, Ahola and Ainola), cafés, restaurants, wonderful shops, the Sarvikallio recreational area, disc golf and beaches. Lend a bike & take a picnic basket along from the hotel. After the tour, you can bathe the dust off in the hotel's sauna and have dinner at one of the summer restaurants. Spend the night at Hotel Krapi and enjoy a rich buffet breakfast. A perfect mini vacation!

A Glimpse of Wilderness – Hiking in the Hiidenportti National Park

Come and see the great outdoors at Hiidenportti National Park. The canyons of Hiidenportti alone are an impressive sight, but you will be also astonished by the shady spruce forests and flowery meadows. Visit the park's many fascinating locations and let a local guide tell you about the surroundings – and the interesting story of the demon called Hiisi, who has given his name to the National Park.

Canoeing in Oulanka National Park

The Oulanka river is ideal for easy-going canoeing. It's a paradise! The gentle river with sandy beaches makes canoeing very easy and relaxing. You can spot many different birds, even see a flying eagle or a reindeer family lying on the sand. There are many places to take a break, build a fire and have a snack or go swimming. You will get the most out of it with one of our guides, but you can also hire a canoe or kayak for 3 hours, 7 hours or 2 days and go by yourself.

Introduction to Snowmobiling

Would you like to try snowmobiling for the first time, but are not sure if you are up to it? Then this is the safari for you! A Lapland Safaris guide will teach you how to handle the snowmobile and you will try a short drive to get used to the machine. We use specially adjusted snowmobiles which make driving easier and safer for first-timers. And after this, you are ready for longer safaris!

Sightseeing Cruise on M/S Ieva

A sightseeing tour onboard M/S Ieva from the Savonlinna harbour to the beautiful Lake Saimaa. Duration: one hour. During the tour, you will pass the Olavinlinna castle and other Savonlinna sights. Available languages: Finnish, English, German and Russian.

Vätsäri Wilderness Special - Demanding Hiking and Packrafting Holiday
