Happy Landings – Snowmobile Safari from the Airport

As you are landing in Ruka-Kuusamo you see the alluring snowy, vast landscape under you, and we bet you cannot wait to plunge into some proper winter fun! Your guide greets you in the arrivals hall and provides you with winter-proof driving gear. The snowmobiles wait for you just outside the terminal and you are good to start the safari to your place of accommodation (in the Ruka-Kuusamo area). We will transport your luggage by car!

Magic of the Finnish Woods

Experience the Finnish wilderness and northern mythologies during our walking trip into the woods of Nuuksio National Park. Listen to stories from The Kalevala, the Finnish national epic, and learn about the power of the shamans and nature spirits. Find out myths and facts about the bear, the king of the woods and the national animal of Finland. Visit the Bear-Hut, where you will meet a very convincing brown bear. Learn the traditions of ancient Finns and enjoy the beauty of Finnish nature. After the trip, you can enjoy traditional Finnish food grilled on the campfire.


Ice Climbing

A safe opportunity to try ice climbing with professional guides at Tajukangas. Our guides will take you step-by-step through how to climb ice and each climber will have at least two full climbs on the wall. Everything you need is included in the price from climbing boots to ice axes. Tajukangas is located in Pyhätunturi, which could be the easiest-access venue for proper ice climbing in the whole world – just a 10 minute walk from the meeting point, Hotel Pyhätunturi. Pyhätunturi is located just 2 hours from city of Rovaniemi and is easily attainable by Ski Bus.

Arctic Ice Fishing

This tour is an excellent way to enjoy the peace and quiet of Lapland and ice fishing on a lake teeming with fish. If needed, we will use snowshoes to get to Rautusjärvi, where we will start fishing. We will take a break at a beautiful hut and cook sausages and any fish caught. During the trip, the guide will tell you stories and facts about living in Lapland. Duration: 3–4 hours.

Utsjoki Nature Information Hut

Utsjoki Nature Information Hut is situated in the centre of municipality of Utsjoki. It provides information on the River Tenojoki, which is known for it's salmon. The river, which runs along the Finnish-Norwegian border invites fishermen and tourists to enjoy the amazing nature of Northern Lapland. The Nature Information Hut offers tips on hiking in Utsjoki region: in Kevo Strict Nature Reserve and in wilderness areas nearby. The nature in the Utsjoki area is truly unique!

Cosy Finnish Mölkky Evening

Mölkky is a Finnish game played with throwing pins. It is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. During the Mölkky Evening you will learn to play the game with your local hosts. You are invited to their home to have a snack and beverages during the game evening. Most homes can host 1–4 guests, some up to ten. Bigger groups are divided to several locations. Mölkky is an outside game and can be replaced by indoors activity if the weather is poor. No special clothing is needed; comfort is key.

Northern Lights Exploration

The highest probability of seeing the Northern Lights in Finland is from October to April. Be a Musher! Husky Safaris in Pure Nature

Try the life of a musher for yourself! You will learn to ride your sled, have your own husky team and work together with these great friends. We start on easy terrain across the lake and continue to the forest. On the way, you can enjoy the winter wilderness. The ride is about 25 km long, depending on the weather and your skills. Total duration: 3 to 4 hours

Aurora Snowmobile Safari

Come and experience the blazing Northern Lights! Your journey starts as darkness falls. Once in the wilderness, we explore the changing skies and with some luck, spot the Northern Lights. The safari covers about 35 km. Warm beverages are served during the safari. Duration: 2–3 hours.

Children's Winter Park

The Porokylä Winter Park gives the whole family a chance to play in the snow. The entrance fee includes the use of the carousel sled, snow shoes, children’s snowmobiles and toboggan slide. The cafeteria provides warm drinks, which you can enjoy by the fireplace. During Christmas, Santa will visit Porokylä and the reindeers. The park is open in December–March depending on snow conditions. See the opening hours on our website!

SeikkailuSveitsi Adventure Park

Turn on the fun! SeikkailuSveitsi Adventure Park offers a pleasant and safe adventuring experience.only 54 km (about 30-minute drive) from Helsinki. Built onto a preserved forest landscape, the dense and well-kept network of walking paths allow you to enjoy the natural atmosphere at your own pace from 3 to 12 meters above the ground level. Crowning the experience, the 500-meter Mega Zipline slides over a glacial kettle. Welcome to discover your inner adventurer at SeikkailuSveitsi!

Guidance to Finnish Nature

The tour at the main exhibition will fascinate the visitor with its enthralling visualization of Finnish nature from the archipelago to the windswept fells of Arctic Lapland. During the guidance you will also find out about the ecological building and about the myths of the Finnish forests.

Husky Safari – Rovaniemi

Wintertime safari with husky teams. After a short drive from town, we’ll arrive at a husky ranch, where these friendly dogs will bark an enthusiastic welcome. Before departing on the safari, you will be given instructions on how to control the sleds. Enjoy some hot berry juice by an open fire and chat with the head musher about these amazing northern animals back at the ranch.

Helsinki - Urban and Nature

A 3 hour walking tour in Helsinki including the following sights: the Senate Square, Esplanade, University Library, Railway Station and Music Center. Including also approximately a one hour walk on a nature track by the sea and forest. There's also a possibility to explore the Finnish sauna culture as well, if interested.

Family Self-drive Tour in Finland: Naantali, Åland and Helsinki

This is an amazing adventure holiday for a family with children under 12 years! You will make a roundtrip in western Finland starting from Helsinki and experience the lake life in Lohja, make a visit to the Moominworld as well as Kastelholm castle. To top the trip off, there will be an activity day spent in SmartPark. Last but not least, the journey finishes with two days cruising around Helsinki.
