And above all – it's a lot of fun! This trip teaches you the basics of snowshoeing and gives you a chance to see how beautiful Finnish nature is in the wintertime. It is amazing, as is the silence of the snow-covered woods. No previous experience is needed. Once you reach the half-way point, you will enjoy sausages and coffee prepared traditionally over a campfire.

Bothnian Sea National Park in Rauma Archipelago

The national park area in front of Rauma has more than 30 kilometres of marked hiking trails. Underwater nature and cultural heritage are particularly important for the Bothnian Sea National Park. Boating, cruises, hiking and birdwatching are the best ways to explore the archipelago. The tourist islands of Rauma are easily accessible by water bus in the summertime. The timetables also allow for overnight stays on the islands.

Arctic Ice Fishing

This tour is an excellent way to enjoy the peace and quiet of Lapland and ice fishing on a lake teeming with fish. If needed, we will use snowshoes to get to Rautusjärvi, where we will start fishing. We will take a break at a beautiful hut and cook sausages and any fish caught. During the trip, the guide will tell you stories and facts about living in Lapland. Duration: 3–4 hours.

Ice-Fishing Experience

Drill a hole through the ice and try your ice fishing skills! Enjoy the icy scenery on the Gulf of Bothnia while sipping hot drinks and learn more about life by the frozen sea.

Hiking in the Arctic Wilderness

Hiking in the Arctic wilderness is a must-do experience for all outdoors enthusiasts. Trekking with a professional guide allows you to go beyond your comfort zone to new adventures, even if you don't have much experience yet. Our journey starts from the Kilpisjärvi village and the rolling landscapes take us eventually to the highest peak in Finland, the Halti fell. The days are still long in early August, but nature starts to prepare for the coming winter.

Biking & Canoeing Holiday at Lake Saimaa

1 night, 2 days After check-in, bike to Mikkeli city centre through beautiful Finnish sceneries, all by yourself. There are plenty of places to stop for a picnic or swim, so feel free to indulge yourself. City maps are available in the hotel reception. Then choose a canoe or rowing boat from Kyyhkylä's shore and enjoy a cruise at your own pace. Dinner at the Manor. The next morning you can go Nordic Walking after breakfast and enjoy Kyyhkylä's beautiful lakeside views.

Aurora's Whispers – Northern Lights Fact and Fiction

Did you know that Hankasalmi is one of the most significant places for Aurora Borealis research? Learn facts and fiction about the Norhern lights at the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi. Learn wether Auroras make sound, for instance. Afterwards we take our cameras and go chase Auroras on lake Virmas. Weather permitting, we will admire the colourful Auroras and thousands of stars in the dark blue sky. Afterwards we'll enjoy some warm refreshment by the open fire in a Finnish kota (forest hut).

Experience Lapland – Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is a very popular leisure time activity for local people in Lapland, it suits everyone! Rovaniemi is ideal for fishing buffs: we have a great selection of frozen rivers, rapids, lakes and ponds in the area. We take you ice fishing on a lake in the middle of primeval forests. After that, we have a cookout experience with campfire grilling on a snow field. The menu includes Lappish reindeer meat sausages, boletus mushroom soup, salmon, and Lappish blueberry wine. Your fresh catch from the ice can go on the grill as well. The whole tour takes 4–5 hours.

Circle of Levi

All the way around, up and down Levi fell! Follow the guide and he will lead you into the snowy landscapes of Levi, driving all around the fell and enjoying its scenery as much as admiring the beautiful river Ounasjoki.  If the weather favours us, we will also drive to the top of Levi! Northern Lights Plane

The Northern Lights – also known as the Aurora Borealis – are an amazing light display that occurs when the sun hurls solar flares, containing charged particles, millions of miles into space. When these particles meet Earth’s atmosphere, they collide with gasses and create the stunning green glow. It is usually a vibrant green, but you can also see rare colors of red and blue at times of very high activity. ​ The Auroras are coloring Arctic skies from 80-90 % of the dark nights. It is more challenging to witness the lights from the ground as clouds often block the visibility.
