Winter Activity Day Tours

In the winter time, there are a number of activities you can enjoy with us for! Skiing, snow kiting, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, fatbiking, ice fishing, visiting a reindeer herder, sledding... First snow usually falls in October. The Polar Night starts in October and ends in mid-January. The high season for auroras begins in November and lasts until March. Our kite school is open until May.

Snowshoeing for Pleasure Lovers

All pleasure lovers can take the gondola up the Levi fell in order to enjoy the views without any physical strain. We will visit the top of Levi, 531 meters above sea level. On the way down we will stop at a Lappish hut for Finnish sausages and coffee.

Small Boat Cruises and Trips on Lake Saimaa

We offer a variety of different kind of short boat cruises and trips, such as a 30min cruise on the nearby waters of Lake Saimaa, 1h trip to the Rokansaari trenches, 90-minute Tour de Lintusalo and 120-minute Liittokivi Cruise. There's also a Rokansaari Island Trip that lasts between 3-4h and a Trip to Ruuho Islands also lasting between 3 to 4h.

Paddling along Beautiful Siuntio River to Historical Sjundby Manor

Siuntio River, the "Finnish Amazon", is a good and easy paddling route for beginners. The paddling trip from the Canoe Center to Sjundby Manor is about 6 kilometres The landing stage at Sjundby makes getting ashore easy. Built in the 1500s, Sjundby's mediaeval manor and its surroundings are well worth a visit! In the summer, paddlers are served by Café Sjundby and guided tours of the manor are available. SE-Action Canoe Centre offers paddling equipment and guidance. At only a 30-minute drive from Helsinki!

Guided Canoeing Tour in Southern Konnevesi National Park

Clear waters, a maze of islands among glaciated rocks and vertical rock walls await you. Breathtaking views and fresh mountain air. The archipelago in the eastern part of the national park is a canoeing paradise. Your local guide will show you the Mountain Spirit and the best locations along the way. You will see osprey nests and wild birds, as you paddle through the labyrinth of islands. Let the clean air and lake views empower you. Your guide can arrange land transportation by adventure bus if needed.

Finnish Lifestyle in North Karelia

Explore the Finnish way of life and experience the flavours of local delicacies. Duration: three nights and four days. Accommodation with half board included, as well as a guided Nordic walking excursion, sauna experience, Karelian pasties baking school and delicious dinner prepared from local products. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, Nordic walking and disc golf also possible. Equipment available for various activities. This holiday package is available all year round.

Snowshoe Hiking Tours

Hiking with snowshoes is a silent and pleasant way to move in different environments and many types of weather, also in demanding terrain. Snowshoes are easy to carry, e.g. strapped on your backpack. On our tours, we always aim for higher ground to get a view of the scenery. We might also go see frozen waterfalls or have a picnic in an old, previously inhabited cave. We have a range of tours from a few hours to whole-day trips.

Husky Trekking Week in Kuhmo

Join us for a guided week trekking with huskies! Every hiker will get their “own” husky and a local guide to show the way through the forests. Hikers will also be provided with special husky-trekking gear; a shock-absorbing leash between the hiker and the dog and a comfortable belt on the hikers' waist. Accommodation will be at the husky farm or if wished, in a lakeside hotel – a perfect combination of wilderness & wellness, hiking & huskies, outdoor life & relaxation.

Trail Riding

Trail riding in the forest and camping in the nature of Rovaniemi. Horseback riding for beginners as well as advanced riders. Riding for the disabled who can mount the horse with one adult's help. Carriage and sleigh rides also available.

Arctic Rides – with Huskies and Reindeer

Experience the traditional ways of transport! Sit in a sleigh on a thrilling 2 km Husky sled ride and a 1 km peaceful reindeer ride through a forest and over a frozen lake. Get to know the way of life of reindeer herders and Husky mushers and visit the Levi Husky Park. A light snack is served around a warming fire. Duration 2–2.5 hours.

Guided Tours for Individual Travellers in Salo, Teijo and Kemiönsaari

Enjoy nature, the countryside, shing, mansions, ironworks or saunas. Pick your favorite from the guided tours and join us for various activities, different for each weekday. The activities are aimed at people travelling on their own, with a friend, with their family or in small groups. Sign up directly to the entrepreneurs min. 24 hours before the starting time. Sometimes advance booking is required to make sure we have enough equipment.

Old Wooden Towns

Come explore our Old Wooden Towns – Turku, Naantali, Uusikaupunki, Rauma, and Pori! Walking around these old towns is like stepping into a fairytale: the colourful wooden houses, decorative gates, cobblestone streets and beautiful public buildings create an atmosphere of the long-forgotten past. Old Finnish coastal towns offer many lovely restaurants, cafés, shops and museums. Most of the buildings in these conservation areas date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, and strict regulations ensure that the areas will retain their history.

Northern Light Hunting by Snowmobile

As the white snow affords more light by reflecting the stars and the moon, we follow the snowmobile trails away from the lights of Ruka and look for the perfect spot to admire the sky. Your guide will light up a campfire and we will enjoy a picnic while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. Everyone can grill traditional Finnish sausages on the fire as we serve Lappish berry juice to keep you warm. Remember to bring a tripod for your camera!

Hiking in Western Lapland – Self-Guided 7 days / 6 nights

This 7-day self-guided hiking holiday takes place mainly in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, where you walk through boreal old-growth forests, rocky ravines, and cloudberry-rich marshes, along clear lakes and streams. You will easily reach fell tops to admire beautiful landscapes out in the wilderness. Both summer and autumn offer wonderful color contrasts. The fell area in Western Lapland is verified to have Europe’s cleanest nature and air, and here you can certainly enjoy the silence. Bathe in the golden light of the midnight sun and enjoy the Finnish sauna after your hike!

Summer Activities Day Tours

Dark Arctic winters have their counterpart in one of the most iconic of Finnish natural phenomena, the Midnight Sun. Sun does not set for 70 days. The sound of silence combined with the revitalizing rays of the Midnight Sun is nature’s own remedy for the weary soul. With us you can enjoy the nature and do day trips combining activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, fishing. Summer begins in early June. The autumn colours are its best in Septemper.

Santa Claus Safari

Our most popular safari combines nature, culture and the spirit of Christmas. The day starts with a snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm, where you will learn about reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You can take a reindeer ride and attend a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon, the trip continues by car to Santa Claus Village with time to go shopping in Santa Claus’ Village. You will also have an opportunity to send postcards from Santa Claus’ main post office. During the day you get to meet Santa Claus himself and enjoy a delicious lunch in a cosy rest.
