Ruka Scenery Lift & Summer Sled Track

The Ruka Sled Track is an exciting way to make your way down from the mountain: the run is 1 km long and offers speeds up to 60 km/h! You can also take scenery lift down, if you simply wish to enjoy the fantastic views. Come and experience the Summer Sled Track!

Reindeer Safari and Northern Lights Hunting

This is a night to remember! Travel by car for 20 minutes to the start of the adventure at a local reindeer farm. Once you arrive, meet the animals and learn a little about them before taking a seat in a traditional sleigh, pulled by reindeer. Travel through snowy forests sitting comfortably, and who knows, perhaps the Northern Lights paint the skies in shades of green above you. A hot cup of coffee with a bun is served around a campfire. You also get up close to the reindeers and learn about reindeer husbandry from the friendly herders.

National Park by Bicycle

Feast your eyes on the view from the top off the cliff, the clear wilderness ponds, and rugged rocky hills. Climb an observation tower to watch the uninhabited wilderness from a bird's-eye view and experience the tranquility of our primeval forests. The Repovesi National Park offers something you can't find in the cities — rugged rocks, calm waters, and awesome forest life. This guided mountain bike tour lets you experience all this for yourself.

Active Family Week

This active week is fun for the whole family! You get to see friendly Huskies, bounce around at Angry Birds Activity Park, and ski – even in the summertime – at the Vuokatti ski tunnel! Accommodation included!

Petkeljärvi National Park

Pine-clad esker ridges formed during the Ice Age rise over pristine blue lakes in this beautiful part of Finland's eastern borderlands, well worth a day trip or a longer stay. Don't miss the lively and picturesque old Karelian village of Möhkö near the park. The area's colourful history during World War II is also of interest.

Salmon Fishing on River Teno

River Teno flows trough the northern edge of Finland and is widely known as the best river for salmon fishing in the whole of Europe. During the fishing season you can fish all through the night – the sun does not set at all. Truly an amazing sight! You will meet your guide in Utsjoki, where he will explain how to fish salmon using a local rowing method. You will fish on a boat for 6 hours with your private guide. While fishing, the guide will tell you about the history of Utsjoki and the Arctic area.

Snowmobile Trip to Lappish Nature

Levi has Europe's largest snowmobile trail network and as such it offers various options for every day. All the trails are well marked, perfect for driving on your own. You get full introduction in the beginning for driving a snowmobile, former experience is not needed. At our store a big variety of one seated and two seated snowmobiles are waiting for you to explore the Lappish nature. Snowmobile rental includes full driving outfit; thermal suit, woollen socks, boots, mittens and helmet. All you need with you is a driver´s licence.

Berry Picking and Mushroom Hunting in Nuuksio National Park

Forests in Finland are a real treasure if you like berries or mushrooms. Picking berries and mushrooms in tranquil forests is relaxing and fun. Northern clean nature and summer with long sunny days and white nights give an incredibly delicious taste to berries and fungi. It is not only the aroma – Finnish berries and mushrooms are clean and healthy; they contain huge amounts of important vitamins, flavonoids, fiber, and anti-oxidants. Liesjärvi National Park

Spend a day at the Korteniemi Heritage Farm to find out how people used to live in rural Finland. Help out with farm chores, count sheep, and make hay while the sun shines! You can also head off along the old crofters' paths to explore the surrounding scenic forests and lakes.

Midnight Sun SUP Safari at Ounasjoki River

This is a great way to see our beautiful city from a different angle! Experience the midnight sun and enjoy the magical atmosphere of our nature. The Safari begins with a short introduction. After the introduction, you will be handed the necessary equipment for an enjoyable SUP safari. Then it's off to the waters and beautiful nature! Be sure to bring some snacks and a bottle of water with you. You must know how to swim and need to wear a life jacket! Children under 18 only with adult supervision.

Deserted Island Excursion

This excursion will take you to one of the secluded lakes, to the roads less travelled, where you will experience Finnish nature on your own. When there is no traffic, no people, no electricity – you will feel the nature on all your five senses; nature looks brighter and more colorful, food by open-fire tastes different and better, you can hear waves at the shore, smell the nature without distractions and feel the clean and fresh air through your body. After 24h at Deserted Island you will be energized, refreshed and in peace after escaping to the middle of the wildlife.

Treetop Adventure

Whether on your own or with a friend or group, you will always be welcome to enjoy an experience of wild adventure at Treetop Adventure Huippu. Or why not spend an unforgettable day out with your colleagues or team? To top off the day, we offer delicious outdoor meals and packages with team building activities or meeting facilities through our partners. All adventurers should be at least six years old. The required minimum height is 100 cm. Tackling challenges on the high rope courses is not recommended during pregnancy.

Pyhä Ski Pass

The improved Pyhä Ski Resort serves skiers better than ever before. 9 lifts, 14 slopes and the PyhäExpress detachable 6-seater chair lift. Elevation 280 m, peak at 500 m. Longest slope 1800 m. Lift capacity 10400 skiers per hour. And probably the best backcountry skiing in Finland!

Slopes and Activities for All

With its versatile slopes that are always in great condition, Sappee is an excellent winter sports resort for snowboarders and slalom skiers alike. There are 12 slopes altogether, lit and always in well-maintained. The vertical drop is 120 metres and the longest slope 850 metres long. Some of the slopes are easy and perfect for children and beginners. There are also intermediate and more challenging slopes suitable for those who have already mastered the basic skills of skiing or snowboarding.

A Day at UNESCO World Heritage Site Kvarken

Korsholm Music Festival invites you to a guided full-day tour, including sightseeing, lunch, a concert and an excursion at a World Heritage Site! The day starts with departure from Vaasa City Hall by bus with a guide. The bus takes you over the longest bridge in Finland, The Replot bridge, to a nice local restaurant in the Archipelago. The concert takes place in the middle of the Archipelago and afterwards, it is possible to take a guided boat excursion or a walk to the Saltkaret lookout tower.

Trek to a Tower in the Woods

If you love the outdoors and want to visit the heart of our beautiful nature, this is for you! You will walk through the woods and climb up the Vaattunkivaara tower – the scenery is amazing. Afterwards you can enjoy a snack by the open fire while listening to the sounds of the forest. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes. Other than the drive, you will be outside the whole time, so be sure to wear suitably warm clothes.
