Steamship Kouta is the oldest inland steam cruise ship in the world. It was built in 1920 and served as a passenger ship between Sotkamo and Kajaani from 1921 to 1936. For the next 30 years, it pulled logs on Lake Oulunjärvi. In 1975 the ship was restored as a passenger ship and has been in operation since 1985.
