Lake Oulunjärvi Manor Cruise Package on Steamship Kouta

Steamship Kouta is the oldest inland steam cruise ship in the world. It was built in 1920 and served as a passenger ship between Sotkamo and Kajaani from 1921 to 1936. For the next 30 years, it pulled logs on Lake Oulunjärvi. In 1975 the ship was restored as a passenger ship and has been in operation since 1985. Use this unique opportunity to stay in a historic Manor House and take a cruise on the historic steamship with a bottle of sparkling wine in the beautiful Kainuu region!

Guided Fishing Trips to the River, Sea and Lakes

During your visit you can fish in a river, rapid, wilderness lakes and Baltic Sea Nationalpark. Use different methods, both fly fishing and spin fishing from shores and the boat. You can also try a traditional Lappish riverboat fishing. If needed, a professional fishing guide will teach and give tips for you. They will show you the best fishing places and give tips for choosing the right lures. You will stay in a historical iron work area. There are also some houses designed by well known Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.

Whitetail Deer and Moose Hunt in the Moonlight

Finland is the only place outside of the Americas where you can find whitetail deer hunting on a scale worth mentioning. In Kytäjä, the whitetail deer population has been managed to a fine level. We proudly offer you the chance of deer hunting in Kytäjä. The hunt takes place in the evening from high seats under the moonlight.

Aquatic Nature Experience

An overnight canoe tour in the Southern Konnevesi National Park. During the day we paddle through the lake scenery and past islands. We spend the night in tents, on hammocks or in an open wilderness shelter ("Million Star Hotel"). Food is prepared on open fire and enjoyed among nature. We recommend this tour for individuals who are attracted to nature, tranquility and relaxation. The tour is lead by an expert guide, who will also tell you facts about the unique geology, flora and fauna of the Lakeland.

Isojärvi National Park

The wooded hills and valleys around Lake Isojärvi bear traces left by both two-legged and four-legged loggers. Old cycle paths lead to former lumberjacks' cabins and croft houses. The only loggers working in the park today are beavers. It's hard to spot these shy animals, but you can't miss the impressive results of their labour.

Saimaa Seal Watching Tour by Ecoboat

Join our guide on a comfortable Saimaa seal watching tour by Ecoboat. May is the best time to observe Saimaa seals, when they often lay on rocks sunbathing. Later in the summer they can be seen in the water with some luck. Our guide will give you lots of insights about Saimaa ringed seal, its habits, habitat, and if we are lucky… see them lounging on a rock. The Ecoboat cabin is covered, weather resistant and very comfortable. This private charter is good for up to 10 passengers.

Ice Fishing on the Porvoo River or Baltic Sea with Visit and Lunch in Porvoo (3-4 hours )

We will meet at the agreed location in Porvoo. We will tell you how to proceed and soon you will drill your first hole in the ice and start fishing. Hopefully, you will catch a fish and get some nice photos. After this great fishing experience, we will walk in the Old Town of Porvoo and you will learn more about Porvoo’s history and Finnish culture. Our walk will lead us to a fish restaurant (except Sundays) where you can test all the delicacies our local fisherman have brought in.

Objects found in the cave have brought about speculations that it could have been inhabited in the Paleolithic Era, 120 000 to 130 000 years ago. These objects would be the only known Neanderthal artifacts in the Nordic countries. In the afternoon, you can visit Storholmen Island and its nature trail.
