Family Safari

This beginner safari will let you experience the beautiful scenery of the Pyhä Fell. It is suitable for the whole family and beginners. After dressing up in warm snowmobiling clothes, we start our safari towards the woods. We take a break at a wilderness hut, where you will hear more about culture and everyday life in Lapland, comfortably by the fire while enjoying warm drinks and snacks.

Cycle Touring for Ladies

Join Elina on this “ladies only” cycle touring holiday in the idyllic Finnish Archipelago. We’ll cycle at a slow pace, appreciating the summer; take breaks to enjoy lunch at cafés and quiet beaches. Cycling through tranquil villages, we can pop into boutique shops and take short walks to viewpoints and enjoy lunch picnics. Daytrip in the Forest with Wild Food

Let's go into the forest and dive into the Finnish landscape. We'll bring a nature guide and a wild food guide, so we'll be fast friends with the treasures of the forest. In the springtime, we'll gather wild herbs, in the summertime wild berries, and in the autumn we'll pick mushrooms and apples. We'll make juices, soups, and art out of these seasonal ingredients. There will be enough to take home as well!

Combined Canoeing and Hiking Trip to Beaver Territory

During this 2-day holiday, you overnight in Kullasmarina’s high-quality holiday villas. The excursion to beaver territory takes place in the Evo Hiking Area. You will take look into the life and habitat of Europe's largest rodent during this trip. You will paddle to the lower dam and continue by hiking up for a look at the beavers' feats and their nests. Upstream, you can see trees felled and eaten by the beavers. With any luck, the head of the beaver family will greet you by slapping its tail.

You will have a chance to see several bears, also mother bears with small cubs. Come and spend an unforgettable night with the bears!

Island Excursion

The south coast of Finland has a lot to offer. We recommend a boat tour to an uninhabited island in the archipelago around Eckerö where you can explore the fantastic nature with an experienced guide. A light snack and drinks are included. You need to be able to move around slowly in easy terrain.


Parasailing suits everyone. To do it you do not need any training, and can start enjoying the feeling of flying over landscapes as soon as you begin. The Water-SkiZoo flying team is the dominant Finnish Champion in parasailing precision-flying so you're in good hands with us. During summer you can be winched up from our boat to the ride height of about 100 m's and admire the fine scenery of Lake Saimaa or see the serpentine of beautiful river Imatra Vuoksi. For flying, the only equipment you need is a joyful mind.

Come fish in our beautiful landscapes, flowing rivers and tranquil lakes! Himos and its surrounding areas are full of diverse possibilities for river and lake fishing. There’s a right spot for every fisherman and woman! You have the possibility to go fishing independently or to book a guided fishing excursion from licensed fishing guides. You can also rent a boat for Lake Patalahti from the Himos Center reception.

A Full Day Snowmobile Safari to an Arctic Snow Hotel

The Arctic Snow Hotel is one of the must things to do when you visit Rovaniemi, Lapland. Enjoy a long snowmobile safari along snowy tracks, frozen rivers and lakes, forests covered with snow and tour around the Arctic Snow Hotel where we learn about the construction of this icy masterpiece. Delicious lunch of glow-fried salmon is served in a warm wooden Kota tepee. We finish the snowmobile excursion by snowmobiling back to city knowing that this journey leaves you with many memorable impressions.

Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall

The Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall was inaugurated on 4 June 1928. For decades, it was Finland’s only public swimming hall. Its ownership was transferred to the City of Helsinki in 1967. The hall is architecturally valuable, serving as an impressive example of the classism of its time. Over the decades, it has retained its original appearance, and after the renovations which began in 1997, the fantastically restored hall was re-opened in October 1999. There are separate swimming sessions for men and women, and bathers can choose to wear a swimming costume or not.

Snowmobile Safari

During this safari, you’ll learn how to drive a snowmobile along a frozen river and through forests covered with snow, all the while enjoying beautiful views of the river valley. The tour is suitable for everyone, also for families with children.

Northern Lights Safari with Reindeers

The excursion is a traditional reindeer ride through a quiet, snowy forest and plains in night time. We will stop by a bonfire, where we have time to enjoy the nature of Lapland and mysterious atmosphere as we drink some hot Glögi, the Finnish Christmas drink. By the fire we will also grill some sausages and make coffee, Lappish way. You can also taste delicious ginger breads. If we are lucky, we can enjoy the Northern lights and the shining stars in the sky. After the relaxing break we will take the reindeers to a fencing where you can meet the half tamed reindeer and feed them.

Journey to the Saana Fell & Arctic Ocean

We journey to Kilpisjärvi and to the famous Saana fell. On our way, the guide will tell you about life in Lapland. We stop for a very economical coffee and bun at a well-known souvenir shop. Weather permitting, we go to the top of Saana to enjoy the sceneries and return to the Hiking centre for lunch. Our journey continues to Skibotn beach by the Arctic Ocean, where you have the chance for a swim. Then you have time for Norwegian souvenirs before returning to Levi. Duration: whole day.

Kalevala Ski Tour

A guided cross-country skiing tour through the snow-covered forests of northeastern Finland, in the area where the poems for the Finnish national epic, Kalevala, were collected. The route goes through an extensive complex of nature reserves called Kalevala Park, where the geography is dominated by hills, forests, mires, lakes, and rivers. You will cover a total of 250 km in 6 days. Good physical condition and previous experience of cross-country skiing are necessary to participate on this tour.
