Aurora Borealis Hunting

This trip is made by mini bus. Our driver knows the best places to see Aurora Borealis and he will drive you there while you can relax and rest. Duration is approximately 2,5 hours.

Ride the Swan

You can now experience the thrill of sailing on the classic S&S Swan 43 sailing boat, originally built for racing. The boat has excellent sailing properties and is easy and safe to handle. Prior sailing experience is not necessary, as the boat always has a skipper. You can, however, participate in the steering and handling of the boat. Departures from Nauvo or Airisto.

Finnish National Parks – Self-Drive

This self-drive itinerary includes easy driving on traffic-free roads while travelling through the sparsely populated taiga forests of Northeastern Finland. Five national parks are easily accessible from the route, perfect for hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Near the Russian border, you can participate on bear or wolverine watching tours, giving you a unique chance to see and photograph these animals safely.

Afternoon Husky Safari in Ylläs

After a half an hour transfer to a local husky farm, we will meet the musher and his arctic dogs at his home. First we learn how to steer the husky sleigh and get on the path of the first explorers with a 10 km husky safari through the magnificent taiga forest. Two passengers are sharing the sleigh taking turns in driving. After the ride the musher tells about the life of the dogs by an open fire in a Lappish tepee where we enjoy a hot drink and biscuits.

“For horse lovers” –Horse trekking

This is a great way to explore traditional Finnish countryside! The package includes accommodation (for two nights) at Niittyniemi Cottages, two days of horse riding (approximately 30-40 kilometers per day), meals, and two friendly guides, as well as good-mannered horses, of course!

Half Day Husky Safari

When you arrive at Husky Ranch, you'll be greeted by your guide and Juho, one of the ranch's owners. After driving instructions, you are ready to meet your team of well-trained Alaskan huskies! The trail heads first south of the Kurtakko village through the snowy forests and then you take a peek at Europe's largest wetland, Teuravuoma. At the halfway point it's time to take a break by an open fire, complete with sausages and hot drinks. When the break is over, it's time to take a scenic route back to the kennel, where you have time to say goodbye to your furry friends!

Winter Horseback Riding and Sleigh Rides

Winter horseback riding is well worth a try, even without any previous experience. It is suitable for children as well. Finnish Christmas comes to life in a special way when riding on a sleigh, with the snowy forest around you, the sound of the bells tinkling in your ears, and the comfort of warm blankets covering you.

Kammi Safari

Once you land at the Kittilä airport, we will bring you to our safari office. On the first evening, we drive on snowmobiles through the Levi countryside to the Levikaira hut. After a coffee break, we start making dinner and heat up the sauna. After sauna and ice-swimming, we enjoy dinner (reindeer stew and mashed potatoes, hot pancakes). You will spend the night in a kammi hut. The next morning we have a camp breakfast and continue our safari by snowmobile. We enjoy coffee and small snacks in the wilderness and then return to Levi.

Kuopio Marathon

The Kuopio Marathon is the largest sporting event in Eastern Finland. There are several distances and series to choose from, so whether you are an athlete or an amateur, you can find a distance and a series that suits you the best.

Arctic Explorer – 4 nights

The Arctic Explorer package offers you a memorable stay in Northern Lapland. During your stay, you will ride a snowmobile to a reindeer farm, explore nature with snowshoes, and enjoy a ride with enthusiastic Huskies. The evenings are dedicated to hunting down the amazing Northern Lights. The package includes airport transfers from and to Ivalo Airport, full board meals, winter clothing, accommodation, a Husky safari, reindeer day, snowshoeing, an Aurora Camp and Aurora snowmobiling. Arctic Golden Circle

On the Arctic Golden Circle, you can relish the beauty of ice and snow, enjoy local treats and attend a very special ski jumping show. The day tour includes: Visit at Snow Castle Kemi, crossing the frozen Tornio River by foot from Sweden to Finland, lunch in a log house with local salmon by the open fire, visit to Tornio and the Lapin Kulta brewery, and a ski jumping show. Transfers, winter thermal outfit (overall, boots) and English speaking guide also included.

Bikes and Activities

Here in Käringsund we rent bikes for 3 hours, 1 day or 1 week. You will also find a lot of other great activities! We offer minigolf, pedal cars, beach volley, tennis, petanque and more. We also have a playground and you can buy food, snacks and beverages in our bistro. Spend a day or more at the Käringsund Resort, strolling around or just relaxing on our large terrace and pool. Nearby attractions include play center Leklandet, wildlife safaris, the Hunting and Fishing Museum and the SmartPark for families.

A Visit to Santa's Village and Snowmobiling to a Local Reindeer Farm

Experience and discover the secrets of Santa Claus and his little helpers! Meet Mr. Father Christmas himself, visit the official Santa Claus main post office on the Arctic Circle, do some souvenir shopping in Santa Claus Village and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards we head for the snowmobiles and drive to an authentic reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer herders and try a short reindeer sleigh ride, as well as take part in a crossing the arctic circle ceremony. After an unforgettable day we return back to the city by snowmobiles by driving into snow covered forest and frozen rivers & lakes.

Canoe & Kayak Trip

A relaxing guided canoe & kayak trip suitable for families and beginners. You can choose from 3-person canoes or 1-person kayaks. We teach you how to paddle and and we’ll provide tips along the way if needed. Enjoy Finnish nature while paddling in calm waters! Refreshing juice and snacks included.

Crossing the Fell by Snowmobile

We journey through the Levi countryside by snowmobile and twist around the south side of the fell. From River Ounasjoki we climb 531 metres over the fell's surrounding foothills, enjoying the picturesque landscape. In good weather you can see the fells of Ylläs, Pallas and Kumpu. We enjoy hot drinks and buns (pulla) on top of the fell and then descend to Lake Immeljärvi. The journey covers approximately 30 km and lasts 1,5–2 hours.

Nature Trails in Southern Finland

Santalahti has two wonderful nature trails. The trails are carefully marked and safe. The Forest Trail, which is about 2.5 kilometres long, encircles the nearly untouched central part of the Mussalo island and its western beach. The Shoreline Trail itself winds through the island to the rocky archipelago on the southern coast, where a view to the Gulf of Finland and the archipelago opens up. When the weather is good, you can even see Hogland on the Russian side. The length of the trail is about 2.5 km. Come and explore Santalahti in Southern Finland!

Beaver Trip – Canoeing

Get familiar with the basics of indian canoeing and visit an area populated by beavers. The trip lasts about 2 hours and includes canoe hire for the rest of the day.

Evening Husky Tour

As evening falls, we head towards adventure. Animals are restless in the forest – are they waiting for us? Every now and then, we switch our headlamps off and continue under the moonlight or flaming Northern Lights. We sit around a campfire, taste local delicacies and have something hot to drink.

Night Husky Safari

Join us for an exhilarating husky trek to the beautiful wilderness cabin in the silent Lappish forest! All you need is a sense of adventure and a willingness to participate. We will stay overnight in an authentic wilderness cabin. You can drive your own husky team as well. Our guides are well-experienced. There's a chance to try a traditional wood heated Finnish sauna as well. Tour duration is 2days and includes transfers to and from Rovaniemi, meals, outerwear, boots, guiding and accommodation in a wilderness cabin.
