Border Trip - Snowmobiling to the Russian Border

A safari from west to east, to the top of the magnificent Kuntivaara Arctic hill, which is crowned with trees thickly covered in snow. The Kuntivaara hill is 480 m above sea level. The Russian border is just around the corner and the breath taking scenery over Arctic wilderness will stay in our memories for days to come.

Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park – Pallastunturi Visitor Centre

Welcome to the Pallastunturi Visitor Centre! The visitor centre is a natural starting point for day trips and other activities. It is located on the side of the Pallastunturi fells. In the winter, ski and snowshoe trails head in all directions from the yard. The From Forest to Fell Tops exhibition documents the changes in fauna and flora when moving from pine forests at the root of the fells to fell-side birch forests, and further on to the bare fell tops. Books, maps, and crafts for sale. Information about the national park's services and climate research is available. Free entry.

Husky Hiking

Experience the Arctic wilderness with a loyal companion, a Husky dog. You will be picked up from Kakslauttanen for the Husky farm just at the resort area. You will meet these friendly and noble Northern dogs and then one of them will be selected to be your partner for the adventure. Together you will experience the amazing views and Arctic nature of the Kiilopää fell area, right on the border of Urho Kekkonen National Park, the largest national park in Finland. The climb is moderate. You will learn about Arctic wildlife and plants along the way.

One Hour Reindeer Safari in the Snowy Wilderness

Join us for an exciting reindeer safari! Sit comfortably in a reindeer drawn sleigh, enjoy the Lappish nature, take photos of the snow cover forests and untouched wilderness around you and listen to the sounds of the reindeer walking on the snow. The reindeer herders have prepared us some coffee with a cinnamon bun on a campfire and will share stories of reindeer husbandry in Lapland.

Journey to the Saana Fell & Arctic Ocean

We journey to Kilpisjärvi and to the famous Saana fell. On our way, the guide will tell you about life in Lapland. We stop for a very economical coffee and bun at a well-known souvenir shop. Weather permitting, we go to the top of Saana to enjoy the sceneries and return to the Hiking centre for lunch. Our journey continues to Skibotn beach by the Arctic Ocean, where you have the chance for a swim. Then you have time for Norwegian souvenirs before returning to Levi. Duration: whole day.

Bear Weekend, 2 Nights

Vuokatti is full of activities and entertainment for everyone. We can guarantee unforgettable nature experiences in pure Finnish nature! Our first-class wild animal observation center is located near Vuokatti in Viiksimo, Kuhmo. A guided snowshoeing tour through snow-white forests, over frozen lakes and along ridges. You'll enjoy picnics around an open fire and nights at comfy wilderness cabins. Summer Night Paddling at Southern Konnevesi National Park

Join us on a kayaking trip in the dusk of the approaching night. The peace of the national park, waves splashing against the kayak, the red glow of the setting sun on the horizon, a fire crackling in the settling dark and delicious food enjoyed around it. The unique atmosphere will leave an ever-lasting memory. The trip is also suitable for less experienced paddlers since we will paddle at a slow pace in calm waters. The trip is 10-12 km long depending on the route.

Seeking Northern Lights on a Reindeer Safari in Ylläs

When it gets dark, we will start our search for the magical Aurora Borealis. We will first take a bus to a reindeer farm from where we will start the sleigh ride. Lapland’s winter is not totally dark after the sunset, as the snow reflects the light and colors of the sky in a mystical way. If we are lucky enough, we might also see the Northern lights dancing in the sky. After the reindeer ride we will gather into a Lappish tepee and hear interesting stories about reindeer as well as enjoy a hot drink with pancake.

Icebreaker Sampo

An icebreaker cruise from the town of Kemi is one of Finland's most popular travel attractions, and this nautical experience is within easy reach of Kakslauttanen. Over the course of the day-long trip, guests also have the opportunity to take a dip in the icy sea – in a dry suit, of course. The period for icebreaker cruises extends from mid-December until the end of April, depending on the weather.

A Snowshoe Excursion in the Winter Wonderland

Walking with snowshoes is a fun way to play in the snow and explore the beautiful forests of Rovaniemi, Lapland. All you need is positive energy! Our guide will take you to the winter wonderland landscapes where you will find the perfect place to enjoy and relax in peace and quiet, take photos and have fun in the snow! Transfers to the wilderness and back are included.

Parasailing

Parasailing suits everyone. To do it you do not need any training, and can start enjoying the feeling of flying over landscapes as soon as you begin. The Water-SkiZoo flying team is the dominant Finnish Champion in parasailing precision-flying so you're in good hands with us. During summer you can be winched up from our boat to the ride height of about 100 m's and admire the fine scenery of Lake Saimaa or see the serpentine of beautiful river Imatra Vuoksi. For flying, the only equipment you need is a joyful mind.

Canoe Rental

We rent fully equipped canoes and kayaks for use in rivers and lakes. Models available: Old Town and Wenonah. The price includes helmets, lifejackets and paddles, and you will also get a robe and bailer. We also arrange transportations to wilderness rivers, such as Ivalojoki.

Arctic Mini Break

This 3-night mini break packs in all the main activities on offer in Lapland. Based on Tuesday arrivals, accommodation at the Harriniva hotel in cozy double rooms or our Northern Lights cabins.

Pirate Cruises for Children in Hämeenlinna
