Lucky Fisher?

Why the question mark? Fishing always needs a bit of luck. Fishing is a great way to spend time and at the same time get lunch, if you are lucky! We trust the traditional worm-in-the-hook fishing method. Not too serious, mostly just spending time together and learning about nature, water and fish at the same time. Afterwards we'll sit down for some snacks and stories.

A Day at the Lake

Pike, pike-perch (sander) and perch are the catch of the day. Come aboard the Tracker Pro Guide spinning boat and head to the fish-rich waters of the Rautalampi waterway with us. The boat is equipped with all the amenities and a professional fishing guide is at your service. We are sure your day at the lake will be something to remember! The package includes services from the fishing guide (Finnish/English), fishing and safety equipment, insurance and all the necessary permits.

The Reindeer Experience

This guided tour introduces you to the life of reindeer and the area's history. You will also get to feed the reindeer with their favorite food, reindeer moss. The tour is made by foot, snowmobile or sledge. A warm drink is served during the tour. Duration: 1,5 h. Group size: with snowmobile 1–16 persons, with sledge 1–20 persons, by foot 1–50 persons. The price includes pick up from Järvisydän, safari clothes, your guide and a warm drink.

Alvar Aalto’s (1898–1976) career as an architect and designer in Finland and abroad was exceptionally diverse and extensive. The Aalto Route follows in his footsteps, from classicism to modernism and from brick architecture to monumentalism. The route offers an insight into the cityscape and architecture of Jyväskylä.

Polar Lights Tour - Night Safari with Huskies

An evening program with a husky team driven by our guides, length about 10 km. A very good opportunity to see an arctic snowy forest with the sky full of stars and with good luck even northern lights. After the husky safari we warm up in our kammi by a campfire with a sausage, hot juice and cookies.

Chasing Northern Lights and River Diamonds

This is an unforgettable trip into Finnish nature. We go chase river diamonds with our cameras in the Konnevesi rapids. The next night, we chase Auroras on Lake Virmas. We also go hiking in the wintery forest and scale Hyyppäänvuori, where you can enjoy the silence of our clean nature coverded in white snow. We'll visit the Sirius Observatory in Hankasalmi, where we learn facts and fiction about the Northern Lights, space and stars. You'll also have a chance to try different kinds of relaxing saunas at the Revontuli Resort (smoke sauna, tent sauna, spell sauna).

Paddle Your Ccanoe

Finland, the Land of a Thousand Lakes. Herein, you can find a small, peaceful lake called Rautusjärvi. A guide will give you proper instructions on canoeing and you are ready to start your journey. Canoeing slowly on the lake, we enjoy the scenery of an idyllic Lappish village and talk about life in the village now and then. We will take a small break on the other side of the lake to enjoy snacks on the shore. We might also see some fish jumping in the lake and birds enjoying a day by the lake.

Spotting the Saimaa Ringed Seal in Linnansaari National Park

Have you ever seen a Saimaa Ringed Seal? If not, this incredible Saimaa Seal cruise in the Linnansaari National Park rambling islands, home waters of the Saimaa Ringed Seal and Osprey, is for you. During the trip, we will actively search for the places, where the Saimaa Seal lives and on top of that observe Osprey nests. The guided seal safari duration is approx. 3 hours. Spend 3 days in the unique Lakeland area right next to a National Park and accommodate with half board in the new hotel of Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän.

Meeting Santa (December, by Appointment only)

We travel to Santa’s hidden cottage in an old Lappish village. First we will get to know Santa’s reindeers and enjoy a 1 km sled ride, then you will visit the old farm and hear stories of the past and present. You also get a chance to feed the young reindeers. It’s then time to meet Santa in his cottage. Santa will also bring greetings from Mrs Santa and as a small gift from her, he gives all children homemade gingerbread cookies and chocolate. Santa will tell you stories about himself, his elves and Christmas. At the end of the visit, you can also take a picture with Santa.

Pure Air at Pallas National Park

The cleanest air in Europe has been found in the Pallas-Ylläs National park, just 40 minutes from Levi! Join us for an easy hiking trip in some of Lapland’s most breathtaking fell scenery as we breathe in the fantastic fresh air and hear stories of untouched Lappish nature. You will also have a chance to visit the fascinating Nature Centre where you will learn more about the flora and fauna of the area. You also get to make a fire with your wilderness guide and cook sausages on the flames.

Winter Fun – Horse and Husky Experience

During the visit, you will get to know our farm animals, enjoy the power of our Huskies in a big sled driven by the guide, and let your mind relax in an open horse sleigh. After the rides, we warm up in a ”kammi” with hot juice by the fire. Duration about 1 hour.

Introduction to Snowmobiling

Would you like to try snowmobiling, but have doubts if you are up to it? Then this is the safari for you! Our guide will teach you how to handle the snowmobile and you will make a short drive to get used to the machine. We use specially customised snowmobiles that make riding easier and safer for first-timers. And after this, you will be ready for longer safaris!

Vuoksi Maxi Tour by Bike

This 2-hour tour takes you all the way upstream to Lake Saimaa. You'll hear stories about the river Vuoksi and the Imatra rapids. You'll see the memorials for the English and Scottish racing drivers who died in Imatra as a result of a crash in the Finnish GP. You will learn about the dramatic days of war in the Imatra region and see the beautiful War Veterans' Memorial Park. You will pass the Millennium Babies' Appletree Park, the Orthodox church of St. Nicholas and the Neitsytniemi Mansion. The fishermen's base Mutterinranta and the Industrial Workers' Housing museum are on the route as well.

Ice Fishing Trip from Rönnäs

Our ice fishing trips to the Bay of Pernaja is available depending on ice conditions from late December to early March. The Bay of Pernaja is know for big pikes and perch. The fishing trip lasts 2-4 hours.

Archipelago National Park Kayaking Expedition

Husky Trekking Week in Kuhmo

Join us for a guided week trekking with huskies! Every hiker will get their “own” husky and a local guide to show the way through the forests. Hikers will also be provided with special husky-trekking gear; a shock-absorbing leash between the hiker and the dog and a comfortable belt on the hikers' waist. Accommodation will be at the husky farm or if wished, in a lakeside hotel – a perfect combination of wilderness & wellness, hiking & huskies, outdoor life & relaxation.
