One-Day Waterbus Trip to Örö Island

A waterbus trip from Korpoström to the Örö fortress island is a special experience. Before becoming part of the Archipelago National Park, Örö served as pasture for cattle as well as a military zone for a hundred years – first as a fortress of the Baltic Sea defence chain under the Russian Tsar's rule and later as a base for Finland's coastal artillery. Around 60 houses from various periods are preserved on Örö, alongside the fortifications built during the Russian reign. Guided tour and lunch included.

Guided Seal Safari to the Outer Archipelago

Take a trip to the outer archipelago to see the grey seals living in the Baltic Sea. There are over 12 000 grey seals and with a bit of luck you can spot one! Seal safari on Thursdays and Sundays to the outer archipelago during the 3.7-14.8.2016 season and on Sundays during the 15-28.8.2016 season. Departure from the ST1 quay in the Eastern Harbour at 14. The duration of the cruise is approx. 2 hours. Price: Adults 35 euro, children (4-14 years) 15 euro.

Icelandic Horse Trek

A horseback riding tour set in magnificent scenery. No need for previous experience, the kind and gentle Icelandic horses will take beginners safely into the woods or the fells. Price includes helmet and also other equipment if necessary. Duration: 2 hours.

Green Fee at Linna Golf

Enjoy a full round of golf at our prestigious and idyllic course offering a great variety of beautiful landscapes and terrains. We are situated near the town of Hämeenlinna. The Club House contains a Pro Shop and the caddiemaster's office, as well as a restaurant downstairs and a spacious lounge upstairs. Dressing rooms are also located on the ground floor, and the dressing room lockers are available for all players. Saunas are heated up daily, and the price of a green fee includes towels. You are most welcome to come and experience our European Tour level course and greens for yourself.

Guided Canoeing Tour in Linnansaari National Park

Visit the rare Saimaa ringed seal in its home waters and navigate a labyrinth of islands. The archipelago in Linnansaari National Park is a canoeing paradise. Breathtaking lake views and fresh Saimaa air empower you as you paddle around the islands, looking for seals and wildlife. Your local guide will lead you to the best hotspots along the way. Half-way we beach on an island for our lunch break. Your guide can arrange land transportation by adventure bus to and from the start point if needed.

Snowmobile Safaris in Saimaa Lakeland

Our snowmobile safaris give you a chance to ride into snowy forests and open lake areas, enjoying some of the best scenery Saimaa and the Lakeland have to offer. Beginners can make a short safari around the reindeer village and stop to watch the animals. If you want to experience local life and more speed and challenges, you can join an overnight safari across the lake to the wilderness village Oravi.

Nature Catch

We start our trip with a forest walk and depending on the season, we pick herbs, berries or mushrooms along our way. We have a break by the open fire where the guide will show you how to handle and use our catch. Lunch at a local cafeteria. After lunch, it’s time to start our kayaking trip. Previous experience is not necessary. After kayaking, we drive to the harbour in Lahti, where you have time to visit a café or do some shopping. Duration: 8 hours All kayaking equipment, as well as guiding, transport, and lunch included.

A two-day stop in a quiet and charming guesthouse is an opportunity for rest, spending time outdoors, guided light exercise, delicious local food, relaxation for mind and body, and for actively listening to the sounds of silence.

Unarmed Hunting Trip

A fascinating guided trip, where you can photograph and experience Finnish nature during winter. The trip includes accommodation in a double or single room, full board and a guided trip to the National Park. We will photograph animals and their traces, while an experienced guide provides information. The highlight is our "hunting trophy", which is cooked and enjoyed under the stars. After the trip you can look forward to a relaxing night in Loma-Raiso, sauna and a good night's sleep.

Island Hopping by Bike in the Finnish Archipelago

Our cycling tour around the Finnish archipelago, hops from island to island using local ferries. Reindeer Farm Experience

You will not find a mode of transportation more traditional than the reindeer sleigh. Come face to face with these gentle creatures, as we take you to a nearby reindeer farm to ride a reindeer-drawn sleigh through the snowy forests. We will pick you up from your hotel and drive 30 minutes to the reindeer farm. Here you will be instructed in the use of the reindeer sleigh, and you get to experience a 700-meter sleigh ride. Then you can learn about the life of a reindeer herder over some hot juice and cookies.

Wild Taiga guides have selected the most delicious pieces of wildlife and places to visit during a week-long tour in Kuhmo, Finland: canoeing along a beaver river, following an esker with Husky dogs, peat bog tour in the most pristine landscapes of Finland, a day tour in Hiidenportti National Park, and studying bear trails on a tracking tour with a professional wildlife guide. Nighttime Snowshoe Trek on Levi Fell

Come and enjoy the nighttime while snowshoeing up the Levi Fell. We marvel at the landscape and night skies, filled with thousands of stars, the moon and the Northern Lights – if you're lucky. Nature's gorgeous snow art is at its best in the mountain forest. Your guide will tell fascinating stories of Lapland in a traditional hut. Participants need to be at least 8 years old. Duration about 2.5 hours.

Snowmobile Safari to Reindeer Farm

Turn onto the snowmobile track and follow it through the snow-covered nature to a local reindeer farm. Once at the farm, the owner has a carefully selected group of reindeer which he has trained for sledge-pulling and reindeer racing. As you sit snugly in the sleigh, the reindeer will take you on a traditional 1 km ride. Coffee or tea will be served at the farm. After the coffee break, you'll return back to the Safari Club House by snowmobile.
