Like an ancient inhabitant, we follow the water as it flows from lakes and rivers to the sea. During the tour, you may enjoy our clear lakes, fresh nature and the hospitality of your host families. This nature tour includes easy activities, meals by the campfire, and visits to two national parks and to a Unesco World Heritage site. Included activities: hiking, paddling in a large canoe, white water rafting, cooking on open fire, etc. The tour is suitable for anyone older than 12 years. A Typical Day in Finland (6–7 hours)

Discover the old city of Porvoo, Finnish history and culture, and our silent Nature. After lunch in a very nice restaurant, you will walk along the river and in the empire part of the city. In the afternoon we visit nice spots with beautiful views. Then we depart to an island located 25 km south of Porvoo. We will prepare the sauna, relax, and live in the moment. Enjoy the solitude of your own beach. Later we will have a BBQ at the same location and spend the rest of the day in our little paradise before returning to Porvoo, where the day ends.

Låna Boats

Låna Boats are emission free electrical picnic-boats that let you discover the city from a new perspective in an ecological way. Take a romantic picnic ride with a loved one, spend an evening with a friend or arrange a meeting on the Aura River. The boats are sturdy, suitable for 2–8 people, and have all the necessary equipment. The boats also have a Bluetooth sound system! Walk in the Shadow of Architecture

Explore on foot the signature buildings of Turku’s modern architecture and other fascinating structures. Architect Alvar Aalto resided in Turku between 1927 and 1933. During this time Turku played a significant role in the emergence of new architecture and furniture design. On this tour a guide introduces you to the exterior of three transitional works of Aalto’s functionalism: the Maalaistentalo, the Turun Sanomat as well as a standard apartment building. The tour presents another functionalist, Erik Bryggmann. Hotel Hospits, Atrium and Student Union buildings are examples of his work.

B&B Kirjakkala Ironworks Village | Special Accommodation

The history of Kirjakkala began in 1686 when the ironworks was built. The village tells you the story of Finnish industrialization. The environment has been preserved as it has been for more than 300 years. The old ironworks mansion and three large log buildings are located in a beautiful grove with tall oaks and lindens providing shade. The forest river that flows across the yard creates a soothing athmosphere. Today the Kirjakkala Ironworks village offers idyllic accommodation in double rooms and family rooms. The breakfast includes local products.

Archipelago Bed & Brekfast with Great Bistro Food and Outdoor Services

Sleep well under Martha's spell! You can't miss Martha's Inn on the Archipelago Trail. It's easy to find us, and you can reach us by most means of transport — not trains and jetplanes, unfortunately. The beach, the Guest Harbour and all the local sevices are within a walking distance from us. However, the central location does not mean a noisy neighborhood! We would rather describe our place as a harmonic and peaceful Inn.

Pike Fishing Trip during Cold Water Season

The bay of Pernaja is known as one of the best pike fishing spots in Finland. We provide these pike fishing trips from late April to early December depending on ice conditions. Length of the fishing trip is 2-7 hours and it is suitable both for beginners and pro fishermen.

Archipelago Route to Kustavi - Fabulous Cruise from Naantali

Fabulous crossing on board the M/S Aavatar in summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The enchanting route from Naantali, via Taivassalo to Kustavi is a shortcut for cyclists and a mini cruise for others spending time in the archipelago; there is a variety of magnificent destinations along the way for day and overnight trips. You can buy beverages (fully licensed) and small snacks on board.

World Heritage Cruises to Mikkelinsaaret

On the island of Kummelskär there is a nature station, and from its tower you can observe areas of former shipwrecks. We will walk together with a guide on the nature trail. Lunch will be served at the nature station, and on the way back, we stop for a coffee and a bun.

Hotel Fjalar—the former home of Salora Ltd’s founder—is a unique hotel with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is located in a peaceful area close to the city center of Salo. The rooms are fully equipped with ensuites, a minibar, free internet access and some with mini kitchenettes. The hotel has a meeting room, a lounge with fireplace, an indoor sauna and a swimming pool. Breakfast is also available. Our staff will be happy to provide tips regarding the city’s attractions and outdoor activities.

Bed and Breakfast by the Sea

Villa Merihelmi is located in the southern corner of Kimito Island in the beautiful archipelago. We have six individually decorated rooms. Two of them accommodate up to six persons. The building is from the 1920s and built in the local style. We are located in the heart of the Taalintehdas center. You can take day tours to the Bengtskär lighthouse, Rosala Viking Center or Öro. The best beaches and many events are also nearby. Our family is happy to help you in any way!

Viking Village Tour

The entrance fee to the Viking Centre includes a guide map for the village and all exhibitions. For a richer experience you can book a guide for the tour, and we will also teach you how to throw a Viking axe!

Alvar Aalto and Alma in Seinäjoki

Learn about Alvar Aalto's modern architecture & design with a private guide and stay in a Jugend style (Art Nouveau) hotel. Alvar Aalto was a Finnish architect and designer - an important figure of modern architecture. Seinäjoki cultural and administrative centre with six buildings belongs to his most remarkable achievements and is unique in the whole world. You'll stay at Hotel Alma which is built and furnished in rustic Jugend style as a recent extension to a historic restaurant building dating from 1909.

Kayaking in the Finnish Archipelago

The most natural and ecological way of experiencing the Finnish archipelago is to explore it by kayak. Without any noise or emissions interfering with the environment, a visitor can come as close to nature and wildlife as possible. The Kayak expedition by Villa Apollo consists of a brief training in paddling technique, a 3–4 hour paddling tour, kayaks with other equipment required and, on request, a guide paddling with the group the whole time.

Archipelago Sights Route

The perfect way to see the archipelago and two of its most interesting sights! The Archipelago Sights Route takes you to the Bengtskär lighthouse via Rosala Viking Centre. The trip departs from Kasnäs every day during the summer, and includes lunch and guidings.
