Holiday Home Villa Nytorp

Villa Nytorp is a Finnish holiday home at its best. The villa has three bedrooms with five beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a traditional wood heated sauna. Naturally there is also a WiFI connection available. The villa is situated beautifully and privately in the woods, but still only 500 m away from the nearest bus stop. You have access to a private beach with a jetty or a rowing boat. A motorboat (or bigger boats) are available upon request. Feel free to explore the surroundings with the bikes available in Nytorp or the nearby nature trails.

Restaurant På Kroken

På Kroken is a seafood restaurant situated in the harbour of Hangonkylä. The cosy family restaurant offers everything from a tasty archipelago buffet with a unique selection of the local and traditional archipelago delicacies to fresh lobster and the famed pepper steak of Kroken. In the menu there are for example different archipelago dishes and even some dishes with a taste of the Mediterranean. Come and enjoy good food with a good wine inside the restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the harbour and the sea. An own smokehouse and the own seafood import guarantees the freshness of the food

Follow the White-Tailed Eagle in Archipelago National Park

Saving the white-tailed eagle is one of the Archipelago National Park's success stories. This great bird almost vanished in the 1970's with only 5–6 nesting couples, but the population has increased to over 300 nestings this year thanks to protection work. Come join us for a boat tour in the white-tailed eagle's home environment. You will learn about the diverse wildlife in the archipelago from an experienced nature guide while you try to spot these great birds that frequently fly over the islands.

Adventure in B&B Kirjakkala Ironmills Village

In Teijo National Park you can experience Finnish nature on a mini-scale; lakes, forests, marshes, streams and the sea. The National Park is also a gateway to the archipelago. There's more than 50 km's of marked trails with cooking shelters along the way. You can trek, cross-country ski, fish, cycle, pick berries and mushrooms or go wild swimming. Kirjakkala Ironmills village was established in 1600's and tells you the story of Finnish industrialization. The environment has been preserved for more than 300 years. Old buildings are in new use as accommodation now.

Lillan

Lillan (Lilla Strandbyggnaden, "the small beach building"), is a charming house from the early 18th century on the shore of the Finnish Archipelago Sea. Its lovely interior has all the modern conveniences, renovated with respect for the house's history. It has a small yard with terraces, tables and chairs as well as trees and flowers. Lillan is a lovely place to stay for up to eight persons. Come and enjoy the unique atmosphere in any season!

Hiking on Savojärvi Trail

This two-hour hike takes you through a beautiful landscape along the shores of Lake Savojärvi. Kurjenrahka is named after the marshland habitat of the elegant long-legged cranes, but boasts all sorts of flora and fauna, including owls in the springtime. The route leads you through the marshlands on footbridges, with resting areas along the way. The Savojärvi trail is part of Kurjenrahka National Park, where you can enjoy nature at the city's doorstep.

Cirque du Soleil trapeze artist, Pauliina Räsänen, and world champion acrobat, Slava Volkov, are offering a unique opportunity to spend an enthralling day participating in circus-art workshops. The program includes a circus-art workshop where participants will learn various circus disciplines such as the tightrope, the trapeze, acrobatics, as well as manipulation and juggling skills. No previous circus experience is required and exercises are designed according to capabilities. Groups will also pay a visit to the Kustavi Clay Workshop in the heart of the archipelago.
