Viking Village Tour

Wooden Boat Safari to Linnansaari National Park

Enjoy a charming cruise on wooden boats to Linnansaari National Park and Kaarnetsaari Island. The island has a beautiful wooden chapel and a 1.2 km nature path. You also have a chance to watch a film about the endangered Saimaa Ringed Seal. Later we'll cook some pancakes and sausages by the open fire.

Snowshoe Hiking Tours

Hiking with snowshoes is a silent and pleasant way to move in different environments and many types of weather, also in demanding terrain. Snowshoes are easy to carry, e.g. strapped on your backpack. On our tours, we always aim for higher ground to get a view of the scenery. We might also go see frozen waterfalls or have a picnic in an old, previously inhabited cave. We have a range of tours from a few hours to whole-day trips.

Vuoksi Mini Tour by Bike

This 1-hour tour will show you the main attractions of Imatra. The route goes along the beautiful banks of the Vuoksi River. You will hear stories about the river and its rapids. You get to see the memorials of the English and Scottish racing drivers, Vernon Cottle and Jock Taylor, who died while participating in the Finnish GP in Imatra. You will learn about the war-time history of Imatra and see the beautiful War Veterans' Park. This tour can be finished at the Vuoksi Fishing Park where you can have a delicious fish lunch or just coffee or tea.

On the Bear's Tracks

During a nature walk of 2–3 hours in the Finnish taiga, you will discover the secrets and tracks of the European brown bear with a professional nature guide: droppings, marks on the trees, paths. The guide will tell you the story of the Finnish bear, as well as stories about other wild animals living in the forest. After you have followed the bear's tracks, you have the option to spend the night observing the king of the forest, the bear, from a comfortable and safe hide.
