Ride the Foaming Rapids on an Inner Tube

Welcome to an unforgettable experience: riding the clear Lappish river rapids on an inner tube. The tube spins, the water splashes and laughter comes naturally. A guide is with you at all times. Wet suit, helmet, life-jacket, knee pads and flippers provided. Please bring your own swimming suit and towel! Minimum age 10 years. Duration about 2 hours.

Rowing Boat / Canoeing Trip

Enjoy a wonderful nature experience with a rowing boat/canoe. This 6-day trip is available in the summer and includes accommodation during the 1st and 5th night in a twin log granary, sauna, row boat/canoe, lifejacket and a map.

Nature Friendly Family Rafting

Before we head into the first rapid we’ll practice our rafting skills and safety instructions on a lake. At first we get to explore class 1 rapids – this will be a good warm up! In class 2 rapids we will test our team work skills and have fun. The final rapid class III Harjakoski will give you a good challenge and a nice refreshing splash of water! While paddling the river downstream we can experience the nature around us and enjoy the sound of birds and streaming water. Bigger lake areas we drive trough by nature-friendly electric outboard engine or four stroke outboard engine.

Full day Snowmobile Safari with Ice Fishing and Campfire Lunch

This is a full day snowmobile tour for those who really want to do snowmobiling and experience the best of Lapland wilderness. We will have a long break when we reach the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge – a traditional lumberjack house nestled by the river of Raudanjoki. Delicious hot soup lunch will be prepared and enjoyed by a campfire to fill you up with warmth and extra energy. A little rest after the meal is great to combine with ice fishing. Guide will provide you with the equipment and after a little walk on the river ice, you will be instructed to drill a hole and set your fishing hook.

Critters and Plants – Introducing Archipelago Flora and Fauna

With the help of a guide, you can familiarize yourself with the archipelago's nature by examining typical plants and trees on the seashore and in forests, not forgetting the tiny creatures that live there. In addition, you can learn about the local ecosystem, environmental challenges and ways to overcome these challenges. The hands-on methods make sure this informative programme is not just a lecture, and you can really get in touch with the nature of the archipelago. There is also an option to add an after-dark programme focusing on bats.

Ice Fishing on the Porvoo River or Baltic Sea with Visit and Lunch in Porvoo (3-4 hours )

We will meet at the agreed location in Porvoo. We will tell you how to proceed and soon you will drill your first hole in the ice and start fishing. Hopefully, you will catch a fish and get some nice photos. After this great fishing experience, we will walk in the Old Town of Porvoo and you will learn more about Porvoo’s history and Finnish culture. Our walk will lead us to a fish restaurant (except Sundays) where you can test all the delicacies our local fisherman have brought in.

Swim Like a Local at Ahvenisto Open-Air Pool

Olympic spirit is omnipresent at the newly renovated open-air pool of Ahvenisto. This outstanding pool was selected as the Sports Venue of the year for 2017. There are Wibit water park elements in the pool to ensure good times for smaller aquaphiles. The Ahvenisto area is a popular destination for summer trips and a refreshing dip in the pool after exploring the nature path of Ahvenisto is a true Finnish summer experience. Tour Skating Experience at Lake Saimaa

Tour skating is a fantastic way to experience & explore lake Saimaa! In Punkaharju, you can skate safely on a 15km skating track network on a frozen lake. For an example, skate to our unique Pancake Café, which is open on the weekends, along the tracks. There's equipment rental and restaurants located at the resort.

Family Snowmobile Safari

This snowmobile safari is specialised for families with little children. We will go for a ride on the forest trails around the Santa Claus Village area, where parents can ride their own snowmobile while children travel in a sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile. You can enjoy the beautiful wintery scenery, and we will make several stops to admire the snowy nature. We also stop at a special area, where children can ride safely on their own on mini-snowmobiles, which are suitable for children over 12 years, smaller kids can ride with their parent or guide.

Helsinki is one of the greenest cities in the world. It is surrounded by the Baltic Sea on three sides and by forests in the north. Ice Climbing Experience at Pyhätunturi

This is an outstanding chance to get familiar with the fascinating winter element of ice! With no previous climbing experience required, this activity is suitable for anyone with normal physical condition. Pyhätunturi, generally known as 'Pyhä' is a little village and a ski resort, located 135 km from Rovaniemi. The transportation from Rovaniemi is operated by Pyhä Ski Bus.

Northern Lights Snowmobile Hunt

There are many ways to get out of the city and see the Auroras, but for the adventurous, nothing compares to the snowmobile. Riding across the snow under the stars is a real thrill. Arrive at a remote outdoor fireplace, where the guide will tell you all about the Northern Lights as you grill sausages over the fire and drink hot juice. And with a little luck, the Northern Lights will fill the sky...

Husky Trekking Week in Kuhmo

Join us for a guided week trekking with huskies! Every hiker will get their “own” husky and a local guide to show the way through the forests. Hikers will also be provided with special husky-trekking gear; a shock-absorbing leash between the hiker and the dog and a comfortable belt on the hikers' waist. Accommodation will be at the husky farm or if wished, in a lakeside hotel – a perfect combination of wilderness & wellness, hiking & huskies, outdoor life & relaxation.

Lakeside Cottages- Enjoy Your Own Beach, Sauna and a Boat

Lomamokkila offers you accommodation in different kinds of cottages. You can choose either a fully equipped cottage or a traditional, more modestly equipped summer cottage. Every cottage has its own beach, a rowing boat and a sauna. You have a possibility to order a baby cot, bed linen (sheets and towel) as well as the final cleaning from us. In addition, you can reserve breakfast and dinner, which are served in the main building. You can also use WiFi in the main building.

Wilderness Lodge and Northern Lights

This overnight tour will provide you a perfect get-away from the city lights with an opportunity to watch the sky for the whole night. After an early evening departure from Rovaniemi we will drive to the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, about 20 minutes away. There, hidden in snow, in the middle of the wilderness, in complete darkness – a private cosy Wilderness Lodge is waiting for us! Traditional Lappish home-made food will be served while waiting for the Northern Lights. We will stay in cosy twin rooms of a traditional Finnish log house, and breakfast will be served in the morning.

Reindeer Farm Experience

You will not find a mode of transportation more traditional than the reindeer sleigh. Come face to face with these gentle creatures, as we take you to a nearby reindeer farm to ride a reindeer-drawn sleigh through the snowy forests. We will pick you up from your hotel and drive 30 minutes to the reindeer farm. Here you will be instructed in the use of the reindeer sleigh, and you get to experience a 700-meter sleigh ride. Then you can learn about the life of a reindeer herder over some hot juice and cookies.

Midnight Horse Riding

Our Icelandic horses live in the immediate vicinity of Levi Centre, and we organise riding treks into the countryside for all riding enthusiasts in Levi's wonderful fell scenery. The horses are small, cute and charming, yet strong, tough and sure-footed. The children's age limit is 12 yrs, unless they have previous experience of riding treks. The riders’ weight limit is 80-90kg. The duration of the trek is about 2 hrs.
