Evening Cruise with Steamship Ukkopekka

During summer evenings Steamship Ukkopekka sails from Turku to the fascinating small island of Loistokari. There is everything you need for a wonderful evening: delicious dinner inspired by the Finnish archipelago with a variety of fish and barbecue specialties, along with live music and dancing on the pier. A Typical Day at a Finnish Lake with a Visit to the Old Paper Factory in Verla

Departure from Porvoo at 9:00, stops at various locations, (Rutumi’s Manor, antique shops, etc.) and a Finnish lunch. Arrival in our little paradise, where we spend a typical Finnish day and relax. Afternoon visit to the museum of Verla. A little drink by the lake, preparing a “bastu kvast”… Sauna preparations, BBQ for dinner. Sauna by the lake and relaxation activities. Possibility to stay late in the evening and then return to Porvoo.

A Typical Day in Finland (6–7 hours)

Discover the old city of Porvoo, Finnish history and culture, and our silent Nature. After lunch in a very nice restaurant, you will walk along the river and in the empire part of the city. In the afternoon we visit nice spots with beautiful views. Then we depart to an island located 25 km south of Porvoo. We will prepare the sauna, relax, and live in the moment. Enjoy the solitude of your own beach. Later we will have a BBQ at the same location and spend the rest of the day in our little paradise before returning to Porvoo, where the day ends.

Accessible Guided Fishing Trip

Enjoy a 4-hour accessible guided fishing trip with us at Lake Kyyvesi, and we guarantee you a memorable catch. Our relaxed professional guide will teach you how to fish pike, perch, and zander. The boat is very stable thanks to its even base. Two wheelchairs fit on it at the same time, plus a maximum of 6 persons. Use of fishing equipment included.

Accommodation

All of our rooms are equipped like a home and are suitable for long stays. The bathroom has a toilet, shower, and hair dryer. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, electric drip coffee maker, electric kettle, and tableware. The following can be borrowed from the reception: oven, two-sided sandwich grill, and clothes iron. All of our guests can enjoy the roofed fireplace and grill outside.

2015 celebrated the 150th birthday of Jean Sibelius, Finland's national composer. To mark this event, we renovated one of our hotel rooms and named it after his wife Aino. We drew inspiration from Ainola, Jean and Aino Sibelius' home. The textiles, Sibelius' music and literature about their life create a unique experience to our guests. An Eagle View Suite at Iso-Syöte

The Eagle View Suite is a spacious suite divided in two floors. On the ground floor there is lovely living-room with a cosy fireplace, seats and sofa’s, and a luxury bathroom with its own private sauna. There's a tree growing in the middle of going up to the second floor. The branches of the tree will hold the “nest” where the bed is placed. There's also a jacuzzi. Lying on the bed or while enjoying a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi you can overlook the unspoiled nature all around you, like an eagle, admire the scenery and almost touch the sky!

Archipelago Experience in Helsinki

Helsinki has a magnificent seaside setting, although many visitors miss experiencing the beauty of its archipelago. Our package includes visits to 3 local islands: Vallisaari, which was just opened to the public in 2016, Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a wonderful dinner on a tiny island overlooking the city. In addition, guests can experience the new-for-2016 Allas Sea Pools & Sauna, with its spectacular location beside the sea.
