Santa's and Mrs Santa's Secret Cabin in Levi (December only)

Santa Claus and Mrs Santa live at Korvatunturi, but they have a nice and comfortable secret cabin in Levi. After much convincing, we have been promised a visit to Santa's secret cabin. The elf is waiting for you with his shining lantern and you go together to Santa's cabin. Inside you meet Santa and Mrs Santa serving warm Christmas soft drinks with cookies she has baked herself. You can draw with the elves, get a special stamp on your Christmas cards and a family picture with Santa. Duration 1–1.5 hours.

Ounasvaara Fell and Ranua Zoo

Experience a day of nature and animals. See the city in all its glory from a wonderful look-out point on top of the local Ounasvaara fell, which we’ll reach by snowshoe, before heading on to Ranua Zoo. At the Zoo, you’ll find local animals as well as exotic, with the highlights being the enormous moose and polar bear. Also of note are the traditionally local animals, such as the forest reindeer, the wolverine, and the arctic fox, as well as many different owl species! We’ll have a buffet lunch at the Zoo restaurant. Afterwards we’ll return to your hotel.

We teach you to listen to the winds that blow – it can be an essential observation tool. You can touch the soil – feel the softness of the moss, the hardness of the rocks. Close your eyes and let go to pick up scents of different plants. Breathe deeply, the fresh air is pure and healing. Our aim is to relax, to see and embrace the beauty of the nature around us. Experience food grilled on a camp fire at Vaattunki and a hike around the area, while a guide tells you about the local animals and plant life.

Snowmobile Safari to Wilderness

Come and experience the crisp, frosty winter day by driving through the snow-covered forest by snowmobile! You'll receive driving instructions and safety rules - and then you are ready for adventure. This experience introduces you to the unforgettable Lappish nature as you snowmobile through snowy forests and over frozen lakes. On route enjoy a peaceful break and warm berry juice. Return back to the Safari Club House by snowmobile.

Seal Trips and Wildlife Watching

Since 1996, we have arranged boat safaris and wildlife watching trips in Linnansaari National Park. Our lake safaris include a local nature guide, who will take you to the best sections of the national park and to the home waters of Saimaa Ringed Seal and osprey. The best time of the year to spot the rare seals is in May and early June. You can book a safari online or at our sales office.

A Day at Lake Jeris

Learn about the 500 years of history of hunting and fishing in the area. Feast on the catch while listening to exciting legends of the fells and afterwards enjoy a refreshing swim in the lake. A journey in time to the history of the Kemiöniemi fishing huts by a master storyteller, the total experience of seine fishing, freshly smoked whitefish, coffee made on the open fire accompanied by house berry pie, stories and legends by the open fire. Life vests available, swimming allowed.

Experience a Smoke Sauna at a Big Cosy Cabin

The Syväjärvi cabin and smoke sauna are located by a small clear lake in Mikkeli, 2 h 30 min by car from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The cabin and its sandy beach are great for families. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs, a private beach, rowing boat and barbeque hut. There's also a small island for any small explorers. There's an atmospheric traditional Finnish smoke sauna in the garden. The owners of the premises will heat it up for you, as it is a special procedure.

Reindeer Sledge Ride

Experience a cheerful safari on a reindeer sledge at Lake Silmäsjärvi. During the safari, we will go ice fishing and pick up fishing nets from the lake. We grill sausages on an open fire, smoke the fish caught (you can keep them after the safari) and brew some coffee on the fire.

Happy Helsinki Walk

City walk with local guide to see the major attractions in the centre of Helsinki and hear the story of Finland the most entertaining way. Available Mon-Fri in June-August, other months we offer private tours!

Finland's Most Beautiful Building

Guided tour in Finland’s most beautiful building – the art nouveau castle hotel Imatran Valtionhotelli. This beauty has experienced a lot – both in peace and war. You will hear unforgettable stories from the past of this hotel that was built when Finland still was part of Russia. Imatran Valtionhotelli was voted the most beautiful building in Finland in 2014.

Husky Kennel Visit

Welcome to the home of Huskies! Come and meet the charming individuals of our pack. The canine members of our small family kennel include huskies of all ages from youngster to pensioner – every dog ready to become your new best friend! You can also participate in the daily routines of the kennel. Suitable for all. Duration: 1 hour

Canoeing in the Beautiful Turku Archipelago

Enjoy the peace and silence of the Archipelago in your own rental kayak. Glide quietly on the waves, breathe the fresh air, listen to the seabirds and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Have a delicious dinner in the delightful Stallbacken restaurant, and finish the day with a traditional Finnish farm sauna. This paddling package offers physical activity, but is suitable for all.

Helsinki City Marathon

Helsinki City Marathon is the biggest marathon in Finland with over 3500 runners from 63 countries (2016). The marathon is organized in August every year, for the 37th time in 2017. Finland is one of the few countries where you can run a marathon during the summer months. Our climate is perfect for it – the average temperature is around 18–20 degrees Celcius. The marathon route is scenic yet urban, reaching the very heart of the city. HCM receives excellent feedback from runners every year. Come and enjoy the clean air and blue skies of Finland!
