Adventure Park Ticket

Laajis has one of the biggest adventure parks in the nordic countries. The area has more than 1km of climbing courses in the forest and +1km climbing on the poles in the open ground with long zip lines and challenging elements. Ruka Scenery Lift & Summer Sled Track

The Ruka Sled Track is an exciting way to make your way down from the mountain: the run is 1 km long and offers speeds up to 60 km/h! You can also take scenery lift down, if you simply wish to enjoy the fantastic views. Come and experience the Summer Sled Track!

A Walk with Arctic Snow Dogs

Take a walk with arctic Samojedi dogs. They are the experts in extreme arctic conditions but also excellent companion dogs. You'll see Kemi in four seasons on a guided walking tour through parks and along the seashore. During the walk you can take photos of your new cute friends and their famous smiles.

Winter Laser World – Helsinki

Helsinki City Marathon

Helsinki City Marathon is the biggest marathon in Finland with over 3500 runners from 63 countries (2016). The marathon is organized in August every year, for the 37th time in 2017. Finland is one of the few countries where you can run a marathon during the summer months. Our climate is perfect for it – the average temperature is around 18–20 degrees Celcius. The marathon route is scenic yet urban, reaching the very heart of the city. HCM receives excellent feedback from runners every year. Come and enjoy the clean air and blue skies of Finland!

NUTS Pallas

This trail race runs through Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park in northwestern Finnish Lapland, under the midnight sun and through the cleanest air in Europe. You can join the NUTS Pallas Trail Run with distances of 30, 55, and 134 km. The race runs along one of the most popular hiking routes in Finland.

Ice Fishing – Traditional Finnish Experience

Want to enjoy the Finnish wintertime? Put some skates on, glide to our island, and enjoy the beautiful landscape as you sit by a hole in the ice and wait for the fish to come. Our guide will explain how you'll get the biggest fish of all times. Our Winter Café will also provide you with a hot chocolate to keep you warm. Total duration circa 4 hours.

Espoo Recreational Islands

The recreational islands in Espoo offer a perfect setting for relaxation and recreation. A scheduled boat service takes you swiftly to and from the islands in the archipelago. In just one day you have time to visit a couple of these attractive little islands. Enjoy a nice picnic with your friend on one of the islands or spend a night camping under the summer sky. In total there are 11 recreational islands in Espoo and four of them are accessible through scheduled boat service which is running from June until end of August. The biggest and most popular island is called Iso Vasikkasaari.

One-Day Wilderness Course

If you want to experience the true nature of the archipelago, the best way is to explore the uninhabited areas in the Archipelago National Park, sleeping under the stars or in a tent. However, you need to be prepared. A camping stove gets you a warm meal without the luxury of a kitchen or electricity. The basics of first aid will come in handy, should you or your hiking partner get hurt during your journey. Finding your way, with or without a compass, is also a valuable skill. Our wilderness guide will teach you these and other useful skills, so you can strike out on your own adventure.

Horse Rides with Sleigh and Carts

A traditional ride to a lean-to in the forest is one activity favoured by many. The gentle sounds of the sleigh, warm felt blankets, and the gentle voice of your guide will introduce you to the legends of an old and the almost forgotten way of life. Enjoy the gentle journey through the picturesque landscapes of frozen Pirkanmaa and sample delicious snacks with coffee brewed on the open fire.

Whitetail Deer and Moose Hunt in the Moonlight

Finland is the only place outside of the Americas where you can find whitetail deer hunting on a scale worth mentioning. In Kytäjä, the whitetail deer population has been managed to a fine level. We proudly offer you the chance of deer hunting in Kytäjä. The hunt takes place in the evening from high seats under the moonlight.

Cosy Finnish Mölkky Evening

Mölkky is a Finnish game played with throwing pins. It is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. During the Mölkky Evening you will learn to play the game with your local hosts. You are invited to their home to have a snack and beverages during the game evening. Most homes can host 1–4 guests, some up to ten. Bigger groups are divided to several locations. Mölkky is an outside game and can be replaced by indoors activity if the weather is poor. No special clothing is needed; comfort is key.

Ice Climbing at Ruka Ski Resort

The ice-climbing program is suitable for adults and children who like to challenge themselves and are not afraid to try new adventures in a safe winter environment. The program is moderately demanding, but suitable for beginners. You do need to be in decent physical condition – i.e. strong enough to use the axe on ice. Ice climbing in Arctic conditions can be a very powerful experience. We will help you feel confident as you explore the ice wall, and you will come out of the experience feeling mentally stronger. Magical Day of Ice with Icebreaker Sampo, SnowCastle and More

The formidable Sampo, an icebreaker formerly deployed by the Finnish government, now in use for a unique cruise experience on the Bothnian Gulf. Experience the open Arctic waters, where steel and ice meet the sea. The drive out to Kemi from your hotel will take between 90 minutes and 2 hours, and you’ll board the Sampo at the Kemi Ajos Harbour. You will be guided as the ship cruises down onto the Bothnian Gulf and you will have a chance to float in the water using a floatation rescue suit. A lunch of salmon- or reindeer soup is also included.

Kainuu Orienteering Week (Open Orienteering)

KOW's open orienteering is one of the most popular and diverse open orienteering possibilities in Finland! NEW at KOW – C-Ultra – perfect choice for trail runners. You can register on-site at event arenas or pre-register online. KOW's open orienteering includes 8 different skill levels from kids to professionals. The youngest orienteerers can also try our adventure route. All maps are prepared by mapping professionals and the results service is as good as in the competition categories. Come and enjoy orienteering!

Jet Ski Safari

This safari takes place either on the Ounasjoki River, Lake Levijärvi or Lake Sirkkajärvi depending on the weather condition. Riding the ski jet is easy, fun and safe. There is no need for a driving license, but the minimum age required is 15 years. Enjoy views of the fell in its summer colours while jet skiing. If the weather gets cold, you will be provided with neoprene gear. Duration about 2.5 hours.

Trip to the Lappish Goldfields

Transport by car to an original Lappish goldfield located near Saariselkä. We will meet original gold diggers and learn about today's gold digging and panning methods. After learning the ways to find gold, we get the chance to try the hard work by ourselves. Shovels and pails are waiting for us at the ditch and off we go! After a while of hard work, the real gold digger helps us to find the gold and jewelry stones by panning. During the trip we'll have coffee and pancakes.
