Wild Food Master Class

Learn to cook wild food! Get on a wild food master class in middle of a Finnish forest, where pure berries, mushrooms and herbs depending on the season are next to you. Saturday night dinner will be prepared together using the ingredients you found from nature.

Night of Reindeers and Northern Lights

Escape with us from the city for a night of reindeer culture and Auroras. Visit a traditional Finnish reindeer farm about 60 km from Rovaniemi and learn all about reindeer husbandry and the daily life of caring for them. Enjoy a traditional reindeer meat meal prepared right at the farm. After dinner, it's time to go out to our Northern Lights viewing location, where we’ll make a campfire and our guide will explain this amazing natural phenomenon.

Aulanko Nature Reserve

Aulanko has been a popular destination with visitors for more than a hundred years. The English-style park, which forms a part of the nature reserve, was constructed in 1883 – 1938, and its buildings and cultural history make it a nationally valuable site. Nowadays, there is a lot to see at the Aulanko Nature Reserve in addition to the beautiful scenery. The forest park of Aulanko, its sights, and the view from the scenic lookout tower of Aulangonvuori Hill over the national landscape attract more than 400 000 visitors every year. The area is best suited for day trips.

2-Day Trip to Svanstein and Miekojärvi

Silence of Winter: Walking with Snowshoes

We enjoy the silence of the forest while walking with snowshoes. During our trip, we wonder what happens under the snow – how can plants and animals survive the winter. We also admire different shapes of snow and ice along our path. We stop for some warm drinks and snacks on the way. Duration: 3 hours. You need to wear warm outdoor clothes, shoes, head wear, and gloves. This trip can be made from December to March, depending on snow conditions. Weather limit -20°C.

Arktika – Birdwatching Trip

The Rakin Kotka Eco Island is in the middle of the Artic migration route of the Gulf of Finland. In May, hundreds of thousands of ducks and geese and other migratory birds pass the island while migrating to the Artic tundra. White-tailed eagles visit the island's airspace almost every day. Many rare birds can also be spotted on the island in May. Different kinds of birdwatching trips can be arranged on the island, according to your wishes and needs. Our SUP Outdoor trips will take you to the middle of quiet lake nature. Our course you will teach you the basics of stand-up paddling: the right paddling technique and safe practices, how to handle the paddle and board and how to get on the board. You’ll need appropriate sports clothes and an open and relaxed mind! We will provide neoprene shoes on our autumn trips.

Expedition Tour

Dive into the lunar landscapes in the very North of Finland. For five days, you will hardly see any trees – only vast white plains of snowy fells (Lappish hills) and small mountains. With your guide and a small group, you will venture into an Arctic wilderness reserve on fell skis and pull a "pulka" or sledge that holds all the equipment and food needed for the week. You will sleep inside warm sleeping bags in tents and cook your meals with on a camping stove. A unique experience that combines the spirit of exploration, defying forces of nature and team performance.
