Family Spa Holiday

Fun leisure for the whole family! The package includes breakfast buffet, daily visits to the spa and pools, gym and daily leisure program. Three or four night stays include tickets to Wuoksi-Wille train for easy access to the Town Center and four night stays inlcludes cruise on the Lake Saimaa with m/s Christina (Mon or Thu). Full board and Half board meal plans available. One to two children aged 6-14 years get free accommodation, breakfast and visit to pools when staying with adults. The restaurants offer à la carte menu, snacks, fast food, drinks, hot and cold beverages.

Villa Emma is a spacious villa for 10 + 2 persons in Parkano, equipped with 5 enchanting bedrooms, kitchen and living room, two toilets, sauna and a bathroom. The villa is situated on the shore of river Aurejoki. A covered terrace with a grill and hot tub, an outdoor swimming pool, and a beach volley court are waiting for you to enjoy with your family and friends.

Meeting Santa (December, by Appointment only)

We travel to Santa’s hidden cottage in an old Lappish village. First we will get to know Santa’s reindeers and enjoy a 1 km sled ride, then you will visit the old farm and hear stories of the past and present. You also get a chance to feed the young reindeers. It’s then time to meet Santa in his cottage. Santa will also bring greetings from Mrs Santa and as a small gift from her, he gives all children homemade gingerbread cookies and chocolate. Santa will tell you stories about himself, his elves and Christmas. At the end of the visit, you can also take a picture with Santa.

Kainuu Orienteering Week (Open Orienteering)

KOW's open orienteering is one of the most popular and diverse open orienteering possibilities in Finland! NEW at KOW – C-Ultra – perfect choice for trail runners. You can register on-site at event arenas or pre-register online. KOW's open orienteering includes 8 different skill levels from kids to professionals. The youngest orienteerers can also try our adventure route. All maps are prepared by mapping professionals and the results service is as good as in the competition categories. Come and enjoy orienteering!

Helsinki–Tallinn 22-Hour Cruise

Silja Europa, the largest cruise ship on the Baltic Sea, takes you comfortably from Helsinki to Tallinn. The nautical atmosphere, splendid food, and great shopping possibilities make it worthwhile to travel by sea to Medieval Tallinn. Enjoy delicious dinner, buy fantastic souvenirs and relax in the spa area. Have good night's sleep onboard and discover the sights of Tallinn for 4 hours the next day. You’ll be back in Helsinki in the afternoon!

Fazer Visitor Centre

Fazer is a 125-year old, international, family-owned business offering quality bakery, confectionery, biscuit and grain products as well as food and café services. The new Fazer visitor center is a result of Finnish design and houses an exhibition, a Fazer Café and a shop. It also offers meeting and event services from cooking classes to children’s birthday parties and weekend brunches. The well-known Fazer produce, long history, corporate responsibility and innovations give food for many an interesting story. These stories are told during the 1-hour guided tours.

Lucky Ice Fisher?

Fishing is a great way to spend time outdoors and maybe even get lunch – if you're lucky! Red or green lure, let’s see, but don't forget the worm, the fish love it! The fishing isn't very serious, but we're spending time together and learning about nature, water and fish at the same time. Afterwards, we'll sit down for some snacks and stories. And of course cooking our catch on the open fire.

Archipelago Route to Kustavi - Fabulous Cruise from Naantali

Fabulous crossing on board the M/S Aavatar in summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The enchanting route from Naantali, via Taivassalo to Kustavi is a shortcut for cyclists and a mini cruise for others spending time in the archipelago; there is a variety of magnificent destinations along the way for day and overnight trips. You can buy beverages (fully licensed) and small snacks on board.

Ounasvaara Fell and Ranua Zoo

Experience a day of nature and animals. See the city in all its glory from a wonderful look-out point on top of the local Ounasvaara fell, which we’ll reach by snowshoe, before heading on to Ranua Zoo. At the Zoo, you’ll find local animals as well as exotic, with the highlights being the enormous moose and polar bear. Also of note are the traditionally local animals, such as the forest reindeer, the wolverine, and the arctic fox, as well as many different owl species! We’ll have a buffet lunch at the Zoo restaurant. Afterwards we’ll return to your hotel.

Birthplace of Jean Sibelius

Composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957) was born and lived the first 20 years of his life in Hämeenlinna. The rooms of his birthplace are decorated in the style of the era between the 1860s and the 1880s, and the museum exhibition sheds light on little Janne’s childhood years in Hämeenlinna. A guided tour will provide you with more information. Chamber concerts are regularly held at the hall of his birthplace.

Rokua National park

When you explore the esker ridges, sandhills and kettle hole lakes of Rokua, it's easy to see clear traces of the Ice Age – this is why this area forms part of Finland's first UNESCO Geopark. Family-friendly trails lead off through the park's wooded sandhills, where the forest floor is blanketed with silvery lichens. Kettle hole lakes nestling in sandy hollows are scattered through the park.

Treetop Adventure at Flowpark Ahvenisto

Flowpark Ahvenisto in Hämeenlinna is an ecological adventure park built in the treetops. There are more than 200 meters of zip lines, some of which are built between two ridges. Our visitors can push themselves to the limit and test their courage in a safe environment. We promise a true adventure with fantastic lake sceneries and diverse Finnish nature. The adventure park is suitable for people of all ages and the adventure tracks have different degrees of difficulty to challenge everyone!

Gemstone Gallery in Kemi

A large collection of gemstones and minerals with great diversity, including a spectacular crown designed for the King of Finland. Finland celebrates 100 years of independence this year, and the crown of the King was designed a century ago – you can only see it in the Kemi Gemstone Gallery. Our collection also includes a replica of the Imperial State Crown of Great Britain and the lavish 647-diamond necklace of Marie Antoinette.

Brain Package to Heureka

Heureka – The Finnish Science Centre provides joy of discovery and fun experiences for all ages! Heureka introduces the public to science and technology in an engaging and interactive way. Visitors can experience the joy of discovery through spectacular exhibitions, planetarium films and events. This package includes an overnight stay in Hotel Arthur, a buffet breakfast and one entrance ticket to the Science Centre.

Palander House

Palander House presents the lifestyle of a bourgeois Hämeenlinna family 100 years ago. The museum showcases a variety of room ensembles, ranging from the elegant drawing room to the servants’ kitchen. The museum is located in the north-east corner of the city centre in an area with lots of period houses. Admission fee includes a guided tour which start every 30 minutes.

Family Fun at Kirjurinluoto Park

Kirjurinluoto is a lush park area right by the city centre of Pori. It is a popular location for summer frolicking and a great family destination. You can reach Kirjurinluoto by car or foot or take the fun city train Poritar. The three-hectare play park for children, traffic park, exhibition gardens, scenic outdoor routes, a beach by the river and a chance to encounter various animals – this park provides things to do for days. The park and play areas are free to enter and use.

Wild Night Safari

As the Polar night falls, we dress warmly and head from the Safari House to the dark Wildlife Park. We switch on our headlamps and start looking for the gleaming eyes of nocturnal animals, and little by little our senses adapt to sense the wild animals. The guide leads you through the Wildlife Park where you also get a chance to feed the animals. The glistening snow and moonlight create a very special nocturnal atmosphere, and if we are lucky, we might see the Northern Lights.

Spa Experiences in Spa Hotel Rauhalahti, Kuopio

Enjoy the lovely warmth of the spa, even when it’s freezing cold outside! You can visit the hot pool and ice pool, jacuzzis or try the water-slide. For kids there are own pools. There is also a swimming pool and it is a place for water gymnastic lessons. Water massage is possible in the multi-purpose pool with hydro massage points and counter-current swimming. You can also swim to the warm outdoor pool. There are Finnish saunas for women and men, a steam sauna “Roman style”.

Meet Santa Claus and Reindeer in Nuuksio National Park

Meet Santa Claus and our adorable reindeer at the Nuuksio Reindeer Park, located only 30 km/30 minutes from the Helsinki city center. The minibus will pick you up from your hotel. The visit includes feeding the reindeer, meeting Santa, coffee or tea and a delicious bun served in an atmospheric Lappish hut, over an open fire.
