Evening Cruise in the Enchanting Waters Around Naantali

Enjoy Naantali out on the sea. Nothing really compares to the feeling when the beautiful evening sunshine reflects off the Baltic Sea. This is how Naantali was meant to be experienced. Join a 90-minute leisurely evening cruise on M/S Aavatar. Departures from the Old Town harbour on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1st to 29th July at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased beforehand from the Visit Naantali office or from our website.

Ruka Scenery Lift & Summer Sled Track

The Ruka Sled Track is an exciting way to make your way down from the mountain: the run is 1 km long and offers speeds up to 60 km/h! You can also take scenery lift down, if you simply wish to enjoy the fantastic views. Come and experience the Summer Sled Track!

Midnight Sun Hiking

Nature trip to the Pallas-Ylläs National Park with a certified National Park Guide. Enjoy and learn about Arctic nature under the midnight sun. The trip lasts about 2 hours.

Särkänniemi Doghill

Doghill invites visitors to step right into a fairytale world based on the work of author and illustrator Mauri Kunnas. The area is diveded into Pawhill, Town and Farm. You can see a play at Paw Theatre, enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere in the town’s beautiful cafés and boutiques or greet the animals at the Farm. At Christmas, on Halloween or during winter holidays, you can experience Särkänniemi's Doghill in a whole new way.

Meet the Reindeers

We drive through the beautiful winter scenery of Levi fell to the old reindeer farm Sammun Tupa. At the farm, we see reindeers and take plenty of pictures of them! Your guide will share his knowledge of reindeer farming with you. And what would be nicer than a hot drink and homemade sweet bun in the old farm house! ?

Active Family Week

This active week is fun for the whole family! You get to see friendly Huskies, bounce around at Angry Birds Activity Park, and ski – even in the summertime – at the Vuokatti ski tunnel! Accommodation included!

Ranua Zoo Tour

This 2.5 km walk in the magical forest will allow you to meet many animals and birds that can be found in the Arctic areas. The excursion suitable for the whole family. There are some sleds available in the wintertime for smaller children in case they get tired of walking. After the visit, you can have a buffet lunch and there is some free time for shopping in the small boutiques. Duration 4–6 hours.

Adventure Island

As soon as you reach the Adventure Island, get hold of your Treasure Map and start your own holiday adventure! The Treasure Map gives you tips guiding you step-by-step towards the Adventure Island treasure. To get there, however, you have to complete 6 different tasks. While looking for the treasure, you learn new skills. Tasks in the treasure hunt can be adjusted according to age and the seasons.

Sauna with the Locals!

Saturday is the official sauna day in Finland. There is a public Sauna Day once a month at Hotel Krapi's Smoke Sauna by the beautiful Lake Tuusula. People from the neighborhood gather to take a relaxing bath in our traditional smoke sauna. If you really want to explore Finnish culture, you have to experience a public sauna! Combine Sauna, Escape room & Dinner & Overnight for a perfect getaway from your daily routines! Women and men have their own turns. Check the dates and times on our website.

Lake Pallasjärvi Canoe Trip in the National Park

Lake Pallasjärvi is a huge wilderness lake, located in the heart of the national park. This trip is lead by a Certified National Park Guide. The lake affords many amazing views of the park and it is great for fishing, typical catches being grayling and trout. At the end of the summer, you can also pick berries, as wild berries such as Arctic cloudberries, blueberries, and lingonberries grow in lake's surroundings. A picnic lunch is included in the package.

Heureka – The Finnish Science Centre

At Heureka, visitors learn about science and technology in an exciting and fun hands-on environment. In addition to the main exhibition, the centre presents temporary exhibitions on various topics. Heureka Classics Main Exhibition Area: Science on a Sphere, About a Coin, Intelligent City, Under Cover, The Wind in the Bowels + Planetarium films, Rat Basketball, Science Shows and much more!

Ranua Animal Fun Day with Zoo, Husky Farm and Reindeer Farm Visits

Start at the Ranua Arctic Zoo and see local animals as well as exotic, with the highlights being the enormous moose and polar bear. Also of note are the traditionally local animals such at the forest reindeer, the wolverine, and the arctic fox, not to forget many different species of owls! We’ll have a buffet lunch at the Zoo restaurant. A short ride later we’ll arrive at a husky farm, where you’ll get to meet and learn all about these animals and even ride a sleigh pulled by a team of dogs. Our final stop will be a reindeer farm, where you can enjoy a short trip in a reindeer sleigh.

Visit a Local Family

Would you like to know about the way of life in Lapland? We invite you to visit our home. During a homemade 2-course dinner, we have time to chat about the Finnish and especially Lappish way of life and share our experiences. Pick up point is in front of Levi Tourist Information. Duration: 2 hours with transfer. On Fridays!

Santa’s Farm Experience

Come to Santa’s farm and meet the man himself at his Lapland retreat just outside Levi. Take the chance to say hello to a few of his reindeer, and enjoy a short sleigh ride around the yard. Complete your tour by enjoying some mulled wine and gingerbread cookies to keep the chill at bay. Our lovely and friendly animals would love to meet you! Duration about 45 minutes. Available in December and January from Tuesday to Saturday, 12.00–16.00.

Santa Claus Office

Meet Santa Claus in person and spend your own unforgettable moment with him. Santa Claus Office is open every day of the year, entrance is free of charge. Your meeting is photographed and filmed by a professional photographer-elf. Photos, video and a variety of souvenirs are available at the Santa Claus Office Shop. For over three decades Santa Claus has met visitors in Santa Claus Office at the Arctic Circle. Santa Claus Office is located in Santa Claus Village with good transport links. It wouldn't be Lapland without him!

Meet the Polar Bear

You will first meet your guide in the reception of the holiday village, from where the guide will take you the polar bear's nest. Prepare yourself for looking into the bear’s eyes by going through the safety instructions with the guide. You will not be allowed to go into the polar bear enclosure, but you will have a chance to greet the world's largest land predator safely from the other side of the fence, just a couple of metres away. The animal keeper will provide you with interesting information on the White King of the Arctic – and the Wildlife Park.

It's That Easy!

Just put the snowshoes on and start walking? Not quite so easy, but we will teach you how to do it. You will get the basics of snowshoeing while admiring the beautiful snowy landscapes on paths that can only be reached on snowshoes. This tour will make you feel one with nature. During the walk, we will stop for some hot berry juice.

Winter Fishing at Lake Jerisjärvi

”Juomustus” is an ancient form of winter fishing. At first you are told how the nets can be inserted under the ice and what tools are required. After that we go to the fishing nets excited to see the possible amount of catch. We check the nets together and the prey instinct of even first-time visitors is bound to awaken when the net's cork-line vibrates in their hands and soon the silvery whitefish glints in the hole. Then it’s time to cook and taste the fresh fish in the kota.

The Best Museum Experience Ever!

Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova combines history, archaeology and contemporary art with hands-on activities and professional guided tours. It is situated in Southwestern Finland, in Turku, which is a great city to make a day trip to. The museum also provides a cosy cafeteria and a lovely gift shop. The museum's guided tours introduce you to both the fascinating history of Turku, as well as the intriguing changing art exhibitions. In the summer season tours are included in the entrance fee, but they can also be reserved for groups throughout the year.

Circle of Levi

All the way around, up and down Levi fell! Follow the guide and he will lead you into the snowy landscapes of Levi, driving all around the fell and enjoying its scenery as much as admiring the beautiful river Ounasjoki.  If the weather favours us, we will also drive to the top of Levi! Our guides have a sweet tooth so you will stop some berry juice and buns!
