Gemstone Gallery in Kemi

A large collection of gemstones and minerals with great diversity, including a spectacular crown designed for the King of Finland. Finland celebrates 100 years of independence this year, and the crown of the King was designed a century ago – you can only see it in the Kemi Gemstone Gallery. Our collection also includes a replica of the Imperial State Crown of Great Britain and the lavish 647-diamond necklace of Marie Antoinette.

Life at the Farm

A sound carries from the pasture. The mother cow is calling her calf – it is feeding time. Suopirtti Highland invites you to enjoy a day at the farm with our animals. You can come by yourself or take your friends or family with you. The day is for you and for the animals. There’s plenty to do, and rest assured – you won’t go hungry!

Flowpark

Flowpark is an ecological adventure park, where you can put your wits and fitness to the test. Our adventure courses have been built with live trees, doing no harm to the flora. You can negotiate various obstacles in the treetops, at heights of up to 20 metres. The tasks are high-rope courses that feature swinging bridges, zip wires, swings, and lianas. Flowpark is designed for everyone older than six who have an adventurous streak, and it is guaranteed to offer fun challenges to newbies and old hands alike!

Adventure Park Ticket

Laajis has one of the biggest adventure parks in the nordic countries. The area has more than 1km of climbing courses in the forest and +1km climbing on the poles in the open ground with long zip lines and challenging elements. Be sure to check out our superb bikepark and frisbeegolf opportunities also.

Ranua Zoo Tour

This 2.5 km walk in the magical forest will allow you to meet many animals and birds that can be found in the Arctic areas. The excursion suitable for the whole family. There are some sleds available in the wintertime for smaller children in case they get tired of walking. After the visit, you can have a buffet lunch and there is some free time for shopping in the small boutiques. Duration 4–6 hours.

Amazing Auttiköngäs

This activity will be on foot. You will be walking by the amazing waterfalls and enjoying the beauty of the forest and Auttijoki river. Enjoy a snack by an open fire (included), listen to the sounds of the running free water. The guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you outside the city centre. The walk will be about 5 km. We recommend wearing warm sturdy shoes. Other than the drive, you will be outside the whole time, so be sure to wear suitably warm clothes.

Wild Night Safari

As the Polar night falls, we dress warmly and head from the Safari House to the dark Wildlife Park. We switch on our headlamps and start looking for the gleaming eyes of nocturnal animals, and little by little our senses adapt to sense the wild animals. The guide leads you through the Wildlife Park where you also get a chance to feed the animals. The glistening snow and moonlight create a very special nocturnal atmosphere, and if we are lucky, we might see the Northern Lights.

Visit the World's Only Moomin Museum!

The Moomin Museum is a new, experimental art museum based on the unique collection of Moomin art by Tove Jansson (1914–2001). The Museum is situated at Tampere Hall in Tampere. Check opening hours and admission fees on our website.

Santa's and Mrs Santa's Secret Cabin in Levi (December only)

Santa Claus and Mrs Santa live at Korvatunturi, but they have a nice and comfortable secret cabin in Levi. After much convincing, we have been promised a visit to Santa's secret cabin. The elf is waiting for you with his shining lantern and you go together to Santa's cabin. Inside you meet Santa and Mrs Santa serving warm Christmas soft drinks with cookies she has baked herself. You can draw with the elves, get a special stamp on your Christmas cards and a family picture with Santa. Duration 1–1.5 hours.

The Best Museum Experience Ever!

Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova combines history, archaeology and contemporary art with hands-on activities and professional guided tours. It is situated in Southwestern Finland, in Turku, which is a great city to make a day trip to. The museum also provides a cosy cafeteria and a lovely gift shop. The museum's guided tours introduce you to both the fascinating history of Turku, as well as the intriguing changing art exhibitions. In the summer season tours are included in the entrance fee, but they can also be reserved for groups throughout the year.

Swim Like a Local at Ahvenisto Open-Air Pool

Olympic spirit is omnipresent at the newly renovated open-air pool of Ahvenisto. This outstanding pool was selected as the Sports Venue of the year for 2017. There are Wibit water park elements in the pool to ensure good times for smaller aquaphiles. The Ahvenisto area is a popular destination for summer trips and a refreshing dip in the pool after exploring the nature path of Ahvenisto is a true Finnish summer experience. This active week is fun for the whole family! You get to see friendly Huskies, bounce around at Angry Birds Activity Park, and ski – even in the summertime – at the Vuokatti ski tunnel! Accommodation included!

Wild Food Dinner in Uitonniemi

A local chef will create a memorable dinner from Arctic flavours and pure ingredients from lakes and forests. You can also request for your favorite dishes. Uitonniemi’s landscape terrace has a beautiful lake view – great on summertime evenings, spectacular with the Northern Lights. Uitonniemi's rich history dates back to the 17th century, when it was a station for log floating. Today Uitonniemi is a cosy northern Finnish manor brimming with tradition.

Family Fun at Kirjurinluoto Park

Kirjurinluoto is a lush park area right by the city centre of Pori. It is a popular location for summer frolicking and a great family destination. You can reach Kirjurinluoto by car or foot or take the fun city train Poritar. The three-hectare play park for children, traffic park, exhibition gardens, scenic outdoor routes, a beach by the river and a chance to encounter various animals – this park provides things to do for days. The park and play areas are free to enter and use.

Meet Santa Claus with Reindeer in Nuuksio

Come meet our adorable reindeer and Santa Claus at the Nuuksio Reindeer Park, 30 km from Helsinki city center. The minibus will pick you up from your hotel or the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The visit includes feeding the reindeer, meeting Santa, coffee or tea with buns in an atmospheric Lappish kota over an open fire. You will also get a small gift from Santa. Duration approximately 2 hours (1 hour at the park + transportation).

Pre-Christmas Adventure in Lapland

This pre-Christmas trip to Rovaniemi, home of Santa Claus, is a great combination of all the Christmas must-do's at the Arctic Circle and is especially suitable for families. During your holiday, you will have a ride in a reindeer sleigh to meet Santa Claus, enjoy pristine snow-covered nature during a husky safari and feel the Arctic wind in your face on a snowmobile. Experience the Elves' Hideaway Village

This newly opened Experience Village offers a magical journey in the world of elves in the beautiful countryside settings of the Köngäs village, only 8 km from the Levi centre. Here local traditions and culture are experienced via playful stories in different activities. For the individual traveller, we offer a guided tour all year round, 2 to 4 times a week. During this tour, the Elf in the Yellow Dress will take you for a walk in the forest and share her tales and stories of nature and the lives of elves. There is a cafeteria in the area.

Finnish National Parks – Self-Drive

This self-drive itinerary includes easy driving on traffic-free roads while travelling through the sparsely populated taiga forests of Northeastern Finland. Five national parks are easily accessible from the route, perfect for hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Near the Russian border, you can participate on bear or wolverine watching tours, giving you a unique chance to see and photograph these animals safely.
