Hidden Tourism Gems Within Easy Reach
PRESS RELEASE 19TH DECEMBER, 2013.
The region of Western Uusimaa is located west of Helsinki, along the southern coast of Finland. The coast is the gateway to the archipelago region with thousands of islands, big and small, some permanently inhabited, some frequented only by seagulls and other birds.
The region of Western Uusimaa can be reached by train or scheduled buses. However, those modes of transport seldom take visitors to the real attractions. Therefore, the tour operator Friman Resor will introduce day tours from Helsinki to the highlights of Western Uusimaa.
During the summer months, each weekday, Monday to Friday, offers a different destination of interest: Fiskars Village, known for arts and design, the apple gardens of Lohja, an island in the archipelago and the historical sights of manors and warfare.
