Rukan Salonki winner of Finland’s Best Ski Chalet
Press Release 18 November, 2013
Rukan Salonki has won an internationally recognized World Ski Awards title for Finland’s Best Ski Chalet. World Ski Awards is an organization created to celebrate and reward excellence in ski tourism in different countries every year. – This award is an important recognition of the long-lasting work our family company has done for our region’s tourism. We have invested in unique customer experience, and we are continuously working to improve our services even further. Our customers truly appreciate what we have to offer: quality accommodation, locally grown food, and plentiful activities, but also the tranquillity of nature and our comprehensive devotion to well-being, says Marjo Määttä, Sales and Marketing Manager of Rukan Salonki.
World Travel Ski Awards winners are chosen by a voting system. The votes are cast by ski tourism professionals and consumers from all over the world. The first annual World Ski Awards is part of World Travel Awards, which has often been characterized as “the Oscars of the travel industry.” In Finland, awards were given in four categories: Finland’s Best Ski Resort, Best Ski Hotel, Best Ski Boutique Hotel, and Best Ski Chalet. The strength of the Ruka area was clearly shown in the results: in addition to Rukan Salonki, both Ruka Holiday Resort and Hotel Rantasipi Rukahovi were winners.
Hotel Iso-Syöte from Pudasjärvi was awarded Best Ski Boutique Hotel. The winners were revealed in a gala ceremony in Kitzbühel, Austria, on 16 November 2013.
