The Visit Finland image marketing concept for 2013 is MAD ABOUT ARCTIC. The concept is based on personal profiles of Finnish people and culturally assimilated foreigners in Finland. The interesting personas are used to overcome prejudices, highlight new aspects about Finland and strengthen positive images that the country is already associated with.
The spring 2013 image campaign topics include the archipelago and lighthouses, the relationship between people and nature, cruises on inland bodies of water and design in the middle of the wilderness. The midnight sun is a strong presence in all personal profiles.
The profile videos for winter time 2013 – 2014 present Santa Claus, a hunter of northern lights and a sled-dog entrepreneur. The advertisement images feature a husky and a dog sled team in a wintery forest landscape.
