Helsinki Airport’s New Experience World Attracts Stopover Passengers to Finland

Press release 1 February 2017 The number of stopover passengers in Finland in 2016 increased by 20 percent from the previous year. New stopover and transit passengers are lured to Finland with a new kind of airport experience that makes it possible to get to know Finland and Finnishness while at the airport. The experience concept is realised by Santa Claus Licensing and Finavia together with Finpro’s Visit Finland. In 2016, a total of 2.7 million passengers transferred at Helsinki Airport.
