Kicksledding
At the beginning of the 20th century, one of the most traditional Finnish forms of winter transportation was the kick sled, and it’s made a big comeback.
This exciting and unusual contraption was originally designed to transport two people: the kicker and a passenger. Some of today’s kick sleds can also carry several passengers. You can kick sled alone or in groups, to the shop or on longer safaris. Of course, if you take a friend, you can take turns and enjoy the ride as a passenger too. And if you really get hooked on kicksledding, you can test your mettle in local kick sled races.
