	Rauma: Old Rauma is one of seven places in Finland that are included on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. This part of town includes the largest number of interconnecting wooden houses in Scandinavia. The buildings date from the 18th and 19th century and form a unique entity with small shops, a market square and single-family residences with flowering gardens.
	The Holy Cross Church, which used to be a monastery for monks of the Franciscan order, with walls and vaults covered in paintings dating back to the 16th century, Luostarinkatu 1, tel. +358 (0)2 837 751. The Rauma Museum is located in the architecturally important former town hall, dating from 1776. Kultasuutari, Kauppakatu 6, tel. +358 (0)2 822 4630 is a goldsmith who crafts jewellery inspired by the fine Rauma lace. Rauma lighthouse islands and Kylmäpihlaja Lighthouse.
RAUMA > PORI (49 km) Route 8 takes you from Rauma to Pori.
	Pori is famous for its Jazz Festival (www.porijazz.fi) in July, and here you will also find Yyteri Sands. Yyteri is located about 20 km from Pori and is a Finnish Riviera with 6 km of beautiful sandy beaches. There are many wooden houses here and a church in Norwegian style, the Marina Merilokki guest harbour, an old garrison park, Merimesta fishing centre, a fishing harbour and the Merimesta fish restaurant with a beautiful view of the open sea. Continue on the 11 km long island route 272 via Reposaari to Ahlainen and from there on route 8 in the direction of Vaasa.
