In 1560, the rapids in Mustio ran the ironworks founded by King Gustav Wasa of Sweden. The wooden main building in the Gustavian style was built at the end of the 18th century. Mustio’s extensive gardens include rare plants such as the Amur Corktree and the Butternut. In summer, an international antique fair and a summer exhibition take place on the premises. The fabulous ironworks milieu of Fiskars is only half an hour drive away.
