It is more rare to find B&Bs in the cities and towns. All rooms are rated with 1 to 5 stars, which for all practical purposes corresponds to where the bathroom is located. A five-star room has its own bathroom and toilet; on the next level down they are both situated in the corridor etc. The rooms are large and comfortable; bed linen and a delicious breakfast are included in the price. The breakfast is usually served in the main building of the farm and it always consists of coffee/ tea, fresh bread, ham, cheese, juice, eggs, and porridge/cereal. Activities available There will often be opportunities for activities. You can rent a sauna or a boat, relax by the sea or participate in guided nature tours. Sometimes the farms also offer exciting theme parties and special theme days. Remember to book lunch and dinner in advance. How to find your B&B? Check the location of the farm when you do the booking. In Finland you will not find any B&B signs at the roadside and the country is sparsely populated, so the farms may be located far from the main road, which means that no signs are visible from the road. Finnish delicacies The meals offered in the Finnish B&B farmhouses are made of locally grown ingredients and prepared with love. You can find such traditional Finnish delicacies as Karelian pasties and oatmeal porridge served for breakfast.
