The Archipelago Trail Touring
Turku - Korpo (Korppoo)

TURKU > PARGAS (PARAINEN) (23 km)
More information on Turku you will find from the chapter Three Cities of the South.

Take the E18 from Turku towards Kaarina and then road 180 to Pargas.

Pargas (Parainen) is a genuine, small coastal town and the only city in Finland that is completely surrounded by water. It is situated in a bilingual area where the Swedish and Finnish speaking populations have formed a rich cultural landscape and heritage. In Pargas you will find all the services you need. The biggest sights are the museums, the granite church and the lime stone quarry.

PARGAS (PARAINEN) > NAGU (NAUVO) (33 km)
From Pargas you take road 180 to Lillmälö where you will find the first ferry connection to Nagu. The trip takes about 10 minutes. On the yellow ferries managed by the Finnish National Road Administration you travel for free and there are several departures daily.

Nagu (Nauvo) offers good services and many sights for tourists. Spend the night in a hotel or a cosy B&B. The centre of Nagu, called Kyrkbacken (Church Hill), has plenty of options for lunch or dinner.

NAGU (NAUVO) > KORPO (KORPPOO) (22 km)
The next destination is Pärnäs (road 180) some 12 km from Nagu where you take the second ferry over to Korpo.

In Korpo (Korppoo) there is a popular market place in the middle of the village. The view from the Rumar outlook tower is well worth the trip (7 km) from the centre of village. The new Archipelago Centre in Korpoström next to the restaurant is a must for every visitor. In the Verkan guest harbour a few kilometres from the centre of town you will find restaurants that serve both lunch and dinner.

The Tour continues along route 180 to Galtby and from there with a ferry to Houtskär. See Korpo-Kustavi. You can also continue to the Åland Islands from Galtby in Korpo.
