Fra gli articoli da acquistare in Finlandia segnaliamo gli oggetti di design in genere, fra cui le ceramiche, i vetri, gli oggetti in legno e i tessuti. Il salmone (ottimo affumicato, come anche altre qualità di pesce), la carne di renna affumicata e non, i formaggi, il cioccolato, more artiche e bacche, la vodka e i liquori a base di frutti di bosco.

Nei mercati coperti (kauppahalli), troverete tutte le specialità alimentari finlandesi e regionali. Particolarmente conosciuti sono i mercati coperti di Helsinki, Tampere, Turku e Kuopio. Tra i grandi magazzini ricordiamo Stockmann e Sokos presenti nelle maggiori città .Vale la pena di fare una visita anche ai centri commerciali quali Kämp, Forum, Kluuvi e Itäkeskus a Helsinki, Koskikeskus a Tampere, Hansa a Turku.

Orari di apertura
I grandi magazzini e i centri commerciali sono aperti lunedì-venerdì 9-21, sabato 9-18 (nei mesi di maggio-agosto e novembre-dicembre sono aperti anche la domenica 12-18) I negozi più piccoli sono generalmente aperti lunedì-venerdì 10-18 e sabato 10-14. Tutti gli esercizi effettuano l'orario continuato.
