Rivermouth area of River Oulujoki forms a beautiful area with its small islands connected to each other by walking birdges. Fish Pass in Oulu is the longest fish pass in Finland.
Kalatie Fish Pass has been opened in 2003. It is situated next to Merikoski power plant and close to Lasaretinsaari island. Fish can be also viewed digitally with a scanner. Fish pass consists of two stairs and a beauty pond between them.
