A journey to the past – the traditional craft of playing kantele in Kuhmo

The product consists of music performed on kantele combined with storytelling. Accompanied by live music and narration, the audience is guided to an immersive imaginary journey back in time. The client gets to envision, how it would have felt to be nestled in a forest cabin in Kuhmo, while listening to traditional kantele music. The live music to be performed is based on the rich tradition of Karelian meditative improvisation. The product may also contain Finnish tunes arranged for kantele. The storytelling is available in Finnish, English, or German language. The imaginary journey to the past is a quiet, esthetic, and calming experience for the client.
