On this tour you get to know the tall pine tree forests and the meandering river, that cuts through the sandbanks all

the way to the sea. We recommend this tour for children from 6 yrs.

At the Safarihouse we have a look at the map and planned route and start the hike from there. You are accompanied

by a local guide, hiking along Siiponjoki's nature trails. The hike takes you through barren pine forests to the riverbank.

On the way you can watch e.g., sand ramparts of the ancient beach. Siiponjoki has a considerable historical and

geographical value and is protected area. The river has some smaller rapids and flows into the Bothnian Bay.

During the snack break we fry sausages and have some hot beverages at a lean-to shelter.
