Kursu Church and Camp Center offers excellent and affordable accommodation for various excursion and camp groups as well as independent backpackers and nature travel groups who need it.

The Camp Center accommodations are at a hostel level. There are 8 rooms, 7 of which are four-person and 1 two-person room (the so-called supervisor or guide room). Additional beds are available for 6 people. In addition to beds, the room is equipped with a table, chairs, and a coat rack. Some rooms have a walk-in closet. Bed linens are not included in the accommodation prices.

Shower and toilet facilities are shared. There are 4 toilets and 3 shower rooms. There is also a spacious sauna available for separate booking. The supervisor room has its own private toilet. Additionally, there is a separate laundry room for clothing and equipment care. The kitchen is fully equipped and serves groups and guests for meal preparation. There are heated parking spaces for 6 cars in the church yard.

Arrival to Kursu: The bus to Salla departs from Kemijärvi railway station at around 9:15 am and passes through the village of Kursu. The bus stops at Salmenkankaa around 10:05 am, from where it is about a 200-meter walk to the Kursu church. Check bus connections at www.matkahuolto.fi.

In the summer, there is a café at the nearby village hall. There are also hiking trails nearby. The public beach is just a short walk away. Near the beach, there is also a kota (traditional Finnish hut) and a campfire site. The nearest store is located at Joutsijärvi, 11 km away.
