Helsinki Market Square is the city’s most international and well-known market square. In addition to traditional market square delicacies, vendors at Helsinki Market Square sell goods such as handcrafts, souvenirs and a wide variety of market square food. The market square features two major tourist attractions: the Keisarinnankivi monument from 1835 and the iconic Havis Amanda fountain from 1908. The market square also serves as the departure point for ferries to the Helsinki archipelago.
