Honkapirtti has become a popular destination for hikers and local people to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature trails on Ruissalo island. Restaurant serves traditional pea soup & pancakes daily and it is famous for it´s delicious doughnuts. Venue is also suitable for weddings and private party up to 80 persons.

The building has an interesting history as being spoils of war and newly built on Ruissalo island for recreation purposes for former soldiers and their widows.
